I want to see a maximum of two tanks deployed per match, its redic to KILL those tanks BY HAND without another tank, per side I might add. and an unlimited number of LAV's deployed as many times as you want, seriously I've seen three tanks in one match already, now tell me thats not impossible when you have three enemy tanks spawn raeping you constantly. Needs to be a cap. |

How about no. Learn to play AV, or yell at your team to switch up to AV, and destroy them. Trust me, blow up a couple of tanks for 2+ mil isk a piece and they won't break them out as often. |

Maybe for ambush. It makes no sense anyway with clones sprouting out of the ground. I prefer Tyas Borg's idea, somewhere in these forums. |

HAVs aren't the problem- there's just a lack of things to counter them. Occasionally, there's a railgun emplacement that would have no problem with a tank, but they're too easy to avoid. |

Big outstanding NO to that. While I do think that HAVs are being used too much, Capping them leads to the Great Slippery Slope of Mt. Nerfusmoar. What would come next, now that you have capped HAVs, is people complaining and wanting a cap limit on Dropships, then LAV's, Forgeguns, LMG's, and so on. Grouping up and countering them early is your best bet. So far this is a thinking man's shooter, let's keep it that way. I know it is easy to get upset at getting trounced by 5 tanks, but roll with the punches and switch to a Militia load out (to conserve ISK) and come up with a tactic to counter it early on (AV and Flux Grenades are a start ). Again, Roll with people that are going to help you out and know when to cut your losses short. Losing sucks, losing to Tanks sucks hard, but being on the side with the Tanks no one complains
The only cap should be the number of that item that you personally can afford to bring into the battle. |

They can respawn as many times as they want, but you shouldn't have more than 2 on one side at a time. |

bad for the game tbh especially in corp warfare it limits the sandbox feel and limits tactics
if a team wants to roll 4 tanks 2 dropships etc it is your job to find a counter to the setup also keep in mind that there are skirmish maps where HAVs arent that useful the 5 letter ones are usually that u will still need infantry to cap and hold B and C
placing limits on stuff only limits the possibilities of tactics

Just NO, and this coming by someone who has been killed by tanks a LOT of times. We need more room, and more tanks, yeah they are hard to kill, yeah if there are 6 tanks in one match and in just one side (Talking to you Osmon Surveillance) its kind of impossible to win, soooo just give more space and room to move, if can get around them in my dropship or on foot, i have no problem. Thats what uplinks are for... |

As stated by Tony I had the idea of vehicle fittings costing WP to deploy and only so many WP being allowed to be spent per battle. That would tone down the quantity and quality of tanks in one battle.
I think the main crux of this debate about tanks is the fact we can pull tanks in Ambush though. I'd have no problem with them being removed from this game mode and let the infantry play their futuristic CoD in peace.
Seriously it'd just quench so many whines as people obviously just want a new CoD or Mag, instead of having warfare with vehicles and a different type of gameplay to most FPS's.

Limit a teams tonnage by map size. Smalls: 2-3 tanks worth Mediums: 3-4 tanks Large: unlimited.
For ambush maps, subtract 1. |

There is just one problem with using WP as a guide. That will mean that the team that get an early start, will quickly become unbeatable if they are the allowed to call in additional hardware as their WP collection escalates due to them already having more hardware.
I am starting to agree that at least on Ambush, there should be a limit of the number of tanks. They are small maps, and as there are no real objectives to hold, 3-4 tanks will simply curbstomp an opposing team. I'm not admitting that tanks are OP though, minor rebalancing not withstanding :P |

If you do not like the tanks get good at destroying them -- You do realize you can get to a supply depot and change your class right?
You can also, deploy a tank.
I've seen many people be challenges with good LAV and with a rocket launcher... That is long as the driver doesn't suck.
If anything they need to allow you to deploy, already being in the vehicle. This would help balance out everything during team deathmatches. Tanks also can't go everywhere... Its easy to get away from a tank. I do it all the time . If you are not armed for a tank don't waste ammo, you can usually just stay still for a moment and they wont know you are there. |

No. I am waiting to see some epic tank battles. The side without supporting infantry loses. Once more people get higher into the skill tree and have some descent AV fits, tanks will have more trouble. |

I completely agree with this comment, but I do think there are things to counter them, they are just not organized enough. If a squad of 2 AV's and a few other things were ordered to make chokepoint defenses by a leader that could see more of the battlefield, the tanks could be easily taken care of. The only problem is the game doesn't have that leader. I made a suggestion about this (called: [Suggestion] Leadership enhancement) where a new leadership role would be introduced called the Regiment leader (I'm not going to post that entire topic on here so go read it) and he would be able to organize squads, call in sensor arrays to gain intel on the battlefield (so the AV's can be prepped for tanks) and then he could tell the squad leaders how he wants them to prepare for that tank. What I said won't make much sense unless you read the leadership post, so go read it and post here what you think.

+1 on this. That would be a good addition. For 3rd person view they could have the camera bot eve ships are susposed to have.. But the camera bot could be killed forcing the person to switch to 1st person view. |

There is a tank problem but not by how many can be called, but the balance of 3 guys in tank vs over squad AV to take it down.

though we need a solution to the HAV problem this isn't it. though i don't use them, I like HAVs and I like having them on the battle field but I think their role should be more allocated to anti-structure/anti-vehicle and even anti-air. the role of a tank in real combat is taking out fortified positions and other vehicles. using a tank as an anti-infantry weapon should be stupidly inefficient, at least using their primary weapon systems. |
