Hands down, no questions asked.... NO.
I don't have much experience using tanks (maybe hopping into the occasional empty passenger seat) but so long as lose a tank every time you call it to the field, I have no problem. Sure, you just brought a tank to the battlefield that causes a whole lot of damage and is invulnerable to most weapons I use on a regular basis... But you're spending a PILE of ISK to get one in the first place. Meanwhile, you've just used that to kill lil old me... and odds are I'm just using my militia outfit because I'm still trying to work up the cash for other things.
In addition, there's the fact that, honestly, the tanks that I've seen haven't been used wisely... Purely because no one is actually going for the control points while they're in the tank. I also note that if a tank is present, people will soon get annoyed with it and work to take it out. And nothing is funnier than seeing a large built for battle vehicle hauling tail because a pair of heavies have been slamming it with a buncha swarm missiles
Bottom line, there are going to be problems with game balance, that's why we're taking part in a beta. However, there's also the fact that every game has things that POSE a problem for the player, and they have two choices... either they can complain about it and watch their K/D suffer, or they can start looking at the problem and see the tools that the developers gave them to deal with that problem. |

Ambush it is kinda lame .....the map is smaller and tighter so the swarms have no advantage as they are colliding with buildings and obstacles and you cant get lock on unless you have los.
Other wise NO I dont rock tanks now...but that doesnt mean I never will, and I damn sure dont want nerfs to be put in place before I get my payback. |
