CCP allowed group hacking so why don't you do it? CCP put in a an objective mode, why don't you guys go for the objectives? CCP put in the ability to customise your fit, why don't you make an Av fit which isn't a heavy with swarm launcher?
Answers please. I've had game after game where I am winning things for my team. Pick up the slack FFS. |

I have sneaked up on so many enemies that should have known I'm there that it's not even funny. They see me and I go around them and it's like they assume that if I don't charge at them then I'm not going for them. And then there's people that think they can just run at me from behind even though I've seen them and they are on my radar |

I wish there were more SP for assisting team members and completing objectives. Right now you get so much more by just getting the highest number of kills possible. If you can sit still and kill 2 players or run across the map to attempt to hack something, you are almost always better off in terms of total SP yield by going for more kills.
The SP grind makes it worse. It seemed like far more people were going for objectives and actually trying to win when there were increased SP rewards. |

A four person squad makes about 160 sp per kill and about 75 per assist. The commander get some for leading and gets to call down orbital bombardment. |

Don't be silly.
If you need to travel across the map, at least enjoy the journey by killing everything that moves on the way. Having a squad with few travel buddies also helps. |

This post only supports the OP, and sort of points to an attitude that results in poor teamwork.
In a four person squad if you get good division of labor everyone benefits. Even in ambush with no objectives a good squad leader can bring in the same amount of sp as the high kdr killers. Without killing anyone.
Just need teamwork. |

Not saying I play like that mate but it's the way it seems to be, lost count of the times of stuck with a couple of players help them cap a point either hacking or covering them only for them to bugger off and leave me at the next hacking point to run after another player.

why u dont see teamplay among randoms in DUST is the same as any other game. ppl dont use mics ppl dont like taking orders from some random they randomly got in a game with there is no sort of pre planning to organise who will use what fits etc etc no one uses teamchat im sure most dont even know u can switch comm channels
this is another reason why tanks **** infantry (along with the lolavnerf) this is also why a small grp of good players can absolutely run train on an entire team of unorganised randoms teamplay is never present in pubs which is why i hate playing with randoms |

Quote:CCP put in a an objective mode, why don't you guys go for the objectives? Often because I get killed trying to get there, because they are defended. You assume people aren't heading for the objectives, but are you sure you know how many die trying?
Quote:CCP put in the ability to customise your fit, why don't you make an Av fit which isn't a heavy with swarm launcher? Because an AV fit requires me to get close to vehicles with much bigger weapons than I'm carrying, and I get killed.
Quote:Answers please. I've had game after game where I am winning things for my team. Pick up the slack FFS. This can all be summarised as "I'm bad" of course. But the reason so many of us are "bad" is that everyone starts that way. Your points are not necessarily causes of badness; they are often symptoms of it, though there's a bit of chicken-and-egg going on.
One final point: if you are in a team with "bad" players, try to resist the temptation to ignore us or leave us behind. Some of us are trying really hard, but we may be thousands of hours behind you in FPS experience. Speak to a pilot about how much difference a thousand hours makes. |

See tony you made me feel bad so now i'm playing a combat scout medic.
Its actualy awsome fun because the injector symbol flashes up and I just know I'm gona find some red dudes to kill around that area. Waaaay better than the craapy radar and active scannning.
So you get the kills off the guy that just died and while ya waiting for ya shilds to come back up you might as well pick up another 60 points getting some noob up. Its just win win.
If i see you on the ground tony promise to rev you but might haz to teabag a little first |

Tony - you are the only player I fear, the only player I want on my team, the only player I recognise so far

listen, if you jump on someones jeep, stick with them, dont jump off and do your own thing.... the driver should also try to be slow & smooth when scouting rather than full speed.. no point firing when bouncing everywhere... chill out so yer new mate can get some good shots in... dont stop unless you sure you're ok for 30secs, but just roll along, get him to the objectives and i reckon the driver should go and hack... someones already on the gun you see... if you get killed often, be the 3rd man in a jeep and you do the hacking... stuff like that works well when some hidden enemy thinks its just 2 of you... get your vehicle called as soon as you start if you are in a decent spot.. wait to pick up some runners & crack on....
c'mon... only a few have SAS skills so team up more.. its more points for everyone in the squad... clock who they are at the start and try to stay near them |

Is this thread simply about "we are l33t, there's a load of scrubs for us to kill" then?
Or is it about letting those of us with less experience know how we should be changing our behaviour. |

I've noticed a definite lack in teamwork, not many Logistics/Support roles out there... I constantly feel like i'm the only one throwing down nanohives/healing/reviving, and it's not very often I see other people throwing down drop uplinks... seems like everyone just wants to kill kill kill.... Personally I get way more SP from filling in those support roles than when I go straight kill loadouts... I came from MAG, and it really saddens me to see so many CoD type players, teamwork in this game straight demolishes anything a single player can do alone... And just one more thing I hate... running to revive someone and they decide to respawn when I get within 10 ft of them... Randoms need more teamwork and more support roles |

You're right of course, but if you squad up you can sort that one out. Good balance of support and firepower, so keeping squad size to 4 is perfect for this - just need to squad up with a mixture of dropsuits / styles |

I tend to prefer a purely assault role over a support one (I like being in the front lines). I do try to support my team at the same time though (stick in groups, cover blind spots, etc.).
As to why I don't have a positive K/D ratio? The lag and constant freezing throws me off sooo much. I'll be aiming down my sights at a target, hit a lag spike, and suddenly be facing the opposite direction. Oh, plus I'm new, so I'm still figuring all this stuff out. The skill system is in no way intuitive, IMO. |

possibly they're fighting on non HDMI which i learned a few days ago is a huge disadvantage, the radar blips just look like fuzzy blobs, no way to tell what direction they're facing |
