this is suppose to be a FPS, why is it being diluted with vehicle spam
-make specific modes where vehicles are not allowed and allowed so we can truely try to believe this game is a FPS -hit detection is crap -aim assist, give us the option to turn it off -make it so there's always at least 2 different default areas to spawn from to eliminate spawn camping -sniping is a joke, the best sniping guns and lvl 5 skills have a T3 clip, T3 reload, T2 fire rate, T1 damage and a range of a sub machine gun(the range and clip size are the biggest issue). i'm not saying buff it, i'm honestly saying to get rid of the entire class and i say that for many reasons. there's not ONE mode where a sniper can truely benefit for being a 'sniper'. now i would go on on this subject, but since the sniping class is broke in all the worst ways, (which ultimately is a good thing) i'll just there about it -fix crosshairs glitch -fix gaps in the map where you're pinned in places you can't get out of -fix bad comms (i've heard some pretty narly derogatory comments flung at me many games on the enemy side lol) -add groups, clans, alliances, corps -let us have a skill book that lets us swap gear faster, call it "swap speed" i'm tired of waiting a decade to switch to other items in the heat of battle. this also becomes tedious if you have a lvl 5 protosuit because you get more things -let us have the option to have "clutter" on our screen if we wish, as in toggle the chervon signs on of people, mainly your own allies to be permanent; lasting through the whole game -make a punishing respec -make a time limit/cap for air vehicles so it isn't abused -add friendly fire.. but everyone will hate it -fix the multiple friendly dropships squishing allies through the map (i've died too many times to this) -add a 100 vs 100 mode -add prone and paratrooper spawns *kidding.....* oh edit: also add some targets in the war barge, or let us dance or something fun or goofy

also in eve, you could change out projectile ammo that were more effective to other types of ships, why not let assault rifles have ammo that deal a little more damage to vehicles and can be changed out when reloading. or maybe ammo that gives better range etc. dat emp s

As far as the ammo thing is concerned, the weapons have different effectiveness against shields and armor depending on how they function. The idea was to remove the complicating feature of multiple ammo types. On the subject of vehicle free modes, I would imagine that would be a focus of the Gladiatorial modes announced at FanFest this year. Also, I think we can all agree that Planetside was pretty much the first MMOFPS. With the scale of the game, large numbers of vehicles were essential just to get from one place to another, and most open-area combat was conducted with them. However, in the past build, while you would see a tank or two in the fist stage of Craterlake Skirmish, the fight over the installation was mostly conducted on foot, which is the concept they're looking at with this game. Having a 100v100 game mode without a large number of vehicles would just look ridiculous. And MAG isn't exactly the best example, given it segmented small groups of players onto different areas of the map to avoid performance issues. |

=> No vehicle map ? That's not how dust works. There wont be such things as "maps". It's planets for wich corporation are fighting for. So what ? Do you think those corp will say "hey, let's not use vehicle on this one" => Clan support, group etc.... BETA. And probably added in next build => Hit detection. Weird that i feel like i dont have any trouble with that.... Also, you werent there in the previous build obviously. oh and BETA. => Sniping ? It's for kiddies. => Crosshair glitch ? => Gaps in maps ? BETA and most games that are released have those. => Bad comms ? Never had any problem. And hearing ennemies = proxy chat (wich i find usefull) => punishing respec ? What is that ? => Friendly fire ? Agreed it shall be on. BETA => vehicle cap limit : already in place. To be honest, I think you're an idiot, most of these things are planned for release. And I'm not even a sniper, but I see it as a valid tactical option.
You might have been onto something with the AV ammo, but frontline AR classes can't be good against everything, you want to kill vehicles, grab a launcher. Otherwise stop crying that somebody has something that works against you. |

No, vehicles are apart of the game but i would like to see areas where its MI vs MI and not just tanks everywhere like on the 1st build where once you got passed A n B the new A B n C were all indoors mostly and tanks just were hit in miss
Also no OHK sniper weapon, the top snipers have managed to strip all shield and at least half armor off my proto suit in one shot if they cant hit me again its ther problem not mine
Respec? like MAG nope consequences and actions not so you can respec 20mil of SP to be a tank driver whenever you want to do it |

now that^ is out of the way: sniping in this game is crap. if you critically look at what a sniper can do in these three game modes you'll realize that they're extremely useless against goodish* players. CCP designed the sniper class to not take objectives, not be in the battle with the team and to camp. to excel at owning noobs in their redline when all your team has done all the hard work (pushing and taking objectives)
the range in this game for snipers is broken beyond belief, the chevron signs don't tell you exactly where the enemy is if they are at a certain distance, infact it lies to you quite often if they aren't still for 5 minutes.
3-5 clip size. really? ok yes maybe, if they enemy team is full of milita suits in my hopes to OHKO them. but realistically you would never try to "T1" with these crappy things
the benefits of a sniper is high damage and range, you pretty much get neither in this beta |

For one, this is not a true fps for it already has RPG elements in it. And its more of a war game based around an FPS system. Also battlefield is not an FPS? thats new.
I have to agree on dropships though, they are completely OP as of now. The worst is when they crash into you to kill you. I can see how that is a perfectly legal strategy. But if they just fly into the ground at full speed(to bump kill you), the least you can do is ,you know, actualy make it crash instead of just measely bumping the floor.
And OP. You might have one or 2 legit points in there, but I highly recommend you look at my post called 'Beta testers mentality' because half of your ideas are just plain horrible. |

So basically what the OP wants is what's going to be in the FULL release? kinda defeats the 'beta' purposes. you can't test EVERYTHING in a beta, the file would be huge. Just be happy with what we have and what they plan on letting us try out. |

Easy fix for the crushing DS deploy RE stand in the middle get crushed bye bye DS had this happen once when deploying RE on main road near C with enemy Tank rolling in from the N spawn DS with full squad came in crushed me killed DS and 6 people was worth my death |

I dont blame for having stuff to say about the game but for whining without trying to seek if any of those troubles have been adressed.....
Regarding the vehicle, there's a topoic FIRST PAGE about how militia vehicles will disappear and the prices of the vec should rise quite a lot.
Regarding sniping, i'm a total naab so i wont say anything about it.
but PLEASE, just seek information. Cause every whine thread i see has half of its grief already adresses in next build. |

I play the sniper role, have proto rifle and proficiency at 2 and it seems to work just fine. OHK many. Well fitted assault may take 2-3 shots. Well fitted heavies 4-5. Range is a bit short, but I think part of that is the draw distance which I think is addressed in next build. Even when I can't see the char, I can still kill them. Shot many snipers on top of towers at A and B while I was on top of the warehouses. |

Actually most true sniper rifles are single shot no mag. However there are marksman rifles with on average up to 10 rounds however those are meant to be used at shorter ranges. In a game though five rounds is about as much as you should be allowed. Try to remember a sniper who misses his shot is a sniper who dies. |

Just aim on the head and you OHK most of the time, having best dmg mods with proto rifle helps as well. Snipers aren't supposed to run with team your job is to harvest traglers and others who are taking your cloning facilities and supply depots.
Also you don't need to see a chevron to kill it's enough that you know that someone is there where you aim, I know because I've killed more then one that way. |

eve players... their mind set is so innocent at times... lol i'm telling you... when one GOOD MAG vet is in there game, they're whole team will get wrecked. it's just funny seeing that 80% of the forum is immersed in EVE logic
i'd like to still snipe, but its just not that effective and useful, sometimes, but not as much as people think i is diso respec |

the range is laughable, the chevron signs lie to you when the enemy is far away, you have red chevrons floating in the distance which actually the enemy is a good 50 meters running the other way |

i have perfect skills, proto5 max damage mods highest dps sniper rifle. it takes me 2-3 shots to down a guy with protosuit and decent skills.
the issue is that CCP has designed snipers to strictly camp. that is 90% my concern, there is no viable running with the team to take an objective with your sniper rifle, you got 3 bullet clips and a forever reload, WITH low damage... it's hilarious, if this is CCPs' version of T1ing, then it's obvious they need some help balancing it. i honestly hope they don't though, it's a nice trap for noobs |
