this is suppose to be a FPS, why is it being diluted with vehicle spam
-make specific modes where vehicles are not allowed and allowed so we can truely try to believe this game is a FPS -hit detection is crap -aim assist, give us the option to turn it off -make it so there's always at least 2 different default areas to spawn from to eliminate spawn camping -sniping is a joke, the best sniping guns and lvl 5 skills have a T3 clip, T3 reload, T2 fire rate, T1 damage and a range of a sub machine gun(the range and clip size are the biggest issue). i'm not saying buff it, i'm honestly saying to get rid of the entire class and i say that for many reasons. there's not ONE mode where a sniper can truely benefit for being a 'sniper'. now i would go on on this subject, but since the sniping class is broke in all the worst ways, (which ultimately is a good thing) i'll just there about it -fix crosshairs glitch -fix gaps in the map where you're pinned in places you can't get out of -fix bad comms (i've heard some pretty narly derogatory comments flung at me many games on the enemy side lol) -add groups, clans, alliances, corps -let us have a skill book that lets us swap gear faster, call it "swap speed" i'm tired of waiting a decade to switch to other items in the heat of battle. this also becomes tedious if you have a lvl 5 protosuit because you get more things -let us have the option to have "clutter" on our screen if we wish, as in toggle the chervon signs on of people, mainly your own allies to be permanent; lasting through the whole game -make a punishing respec -make a time limit/cap for air vehicles so it isn't abused -add friendly fire.. but everyone will hate it -fix the multiple friendly dropships squishing allies through the map (i've died too many times to this) -add a 100 vs 100 mode -add prone and paratrooper spawns *kidding.....* oh edit: also add some targets in the war barge, or let us dance or something fun or goofy
gosh, i think i've just regurgitated what MAG is
also in eve, you could change out projectile ammo that were more effective to other types of ships, why not let assault rifles have ammo that deal a little more damage to vehicles and can be changed out when reloading. or maybe ammo that gives better range etc. dat emp s

You might have been onto something with the AV ammo, but frontline AR classes can't be good against everything, you want to kill vehicles, grab a launcher. Otherwise stop crying that somebody has something that works against you.

now that^ is out of the way: sniping in this game is crap. if you critically look at what a sniper can do in these three game modes you'll realize that they're extremely useless against goodish* players. CCP designed the sniper class to not take objectives, not be in the battle with the team and to camp. to excel at owning noobs in their redline when all your team has done all the hard work (pushing and taking objectives)
the range in this game for snipers is broken beyond belief, the chevron signs don't tell you exactly where the enemy is if they are at a certain distance, infact it lies to you quite often if they aren't still for 5 minutes.
3-5 clip size. really? ok yes maybe, if they enemy team is full of milita suits in my hopes to OHKO them. but realistically you would never try to "T1" with these crappy things
the benefits of a sniper is high damage and range, you pretty much get neither in this beta |

a true FPS is not reliant on vehicles, just saying. and it gets a little funky when the game gets competitive and who ever eventually controls the sky with dropships wins the game |

eve players... their mind set is so innocent at times... lol i'm telling you... when one GOOD MAG vet is in there game, they're whole team will get wrecked. it's just funny seeing that 80% of the forum is immersed in EVE logic
i'd like to still snipe, but its just not that effective and useful, sometimes, but not as much as people think i is diso respec |

the range is laughable, the chevron signs lie to you when the enemy is far away, you have red chevrons floating in the distance which actually the enemy is a good 50 meters running the other way |

Also you don't need to see a chevron to kill it's enough that you know that someone is there where you aim, I know because I've killed more then one that way.
i have perfect skills, proto5 max damage mods highest dps sniper rifle. it takes me 2-3 shots to down a guy with protosuit and decent skills.
the issue is that CCP has designed snipers to strictly camp. that is 90% my concern, there is no viable running with the team to take an objective with your sniper rifle, you got 3 bullet clips and a forever reload, WITH low damage... it's hilarious, if this is CCPs' version of T1ing, then it's obvious they need some help balancing it. i honestly hope they don't though, it's a nice trap for noobs |

Yes this is beta, there are things that need fixed, I won't deny that. When its stated that this is a finished product and things are still the same, then make your complaint. But don't assume and state that people are noobs or whatever just because you feel entitled because of your experience in a different game.
i've played with you many times in game, you get unimpressive kills for a sniper which is the most useless thing to be in a FPS. why would anyone want a team that is a guy short? a snipers role is to kill, it isn't to take objectives, it's to camp and this is how they poorly designed snipers to be. it makes me sad
in MAG you could go toe to toe with the best AR players, but here.... lol i'll wait till the full version comes |

anyone that thinks 3 clip rounds for a battle sniper that is ment to take objectives makes me laugh anyone that thinks the snipers range in the beta is acceptable makes me laugh it's bet, i understand, but for many of the builds it's been the same
fact: eve players have no major fps experience fact: the MAG community has played against each other so much, weeding out the bad players from the good, making them quit the game, leaving nothing but the best players doing clan battles for years. MAG players have great experience to offer DUST devs. Some of these MAG vets that are in the beta have astronomically high skill and gun game
my plee to devs: if you are going to support all these vehicles... it will drive the FPS community away. i really hope there'll be a infantry mode - no vehicles allowed. similar to sabotage in MAG to allow the FPS players to shine. Also competition, allowing us to be social, being in clans/corps allowing us to battle whom ever and letting us schedule these battles, letting us have the tools to do this is the longevity the game needs to be extremely successful. this is what MAG did not have - clan support
again, as for sniping make it easy and just get rid of it lol it's a mess right now |
