Anyone else hate playing Battleship with an enemy location ticker and not being able to see the model because they're just one meter far of the 200m draw distance? |

I hate it too but I think its intended like a fog of war...maybe it is or isn't nothing more annoying when your on a dropships ass and it suddenly disappears into nothing, then again I have experienced vehicles disappearing closer than 200 m pop up and disappears again . |

Well, honestly, if they have a red arrow pointing down on their location they can normally be shot - so they need to make it to where when they're reported in intel (and their ticker appears) their model should render at all distances. Link it to your helmet or something.
I'm a sniper and I hate having to guess the precise shots when I -know- where the target is because of the ticker, but can't see their model. If they're standing, crouching, or jumping I have no idea; so I have no idea where to aim. |

I'm all for this. I can't count the number of dropships that have escaped via the draw distance while my Forge Gun spools up. |

If it's not intended for it to happen then it should be fixed when they can get to it perhaps in the next build... |

I agree with this. The sniper role which I enjoy on occasion is limited by the draw distance, even with the current, inferior scope, it zooms far enough in to bypass the draw distance. I have to admit that many of my kills with sniper weapons have been guess work by aiming at the chevrons instead of actual avatars. It's just as bad with tracking vehicles over long distances. |

I think draw distance is in the works. They are just trying to figure out how to make it work without using up too many resources, I believe. Or, as CCP would say, Soon(tm). |

Could we perhaps get a GM/Dev response as to whether or not this is being changed in August? |

Personally I think tank and drop ships should render at all distances but infantry don't need to. Snipers hidden at extreme ranges is OK imo as long as you get a red mark when someone gets a visual. |

A game with a scale such as this needs a draw distance as far as possible. There is no reason everything should not be visible across the map at a high altitude (unless there are weather effects which stop visibility at range).
This game is created as large scale vehicle, infantry, outdoor craziness.
Draw distance has to be improved. |

I'd accept playing dust at half level of detail if it meant I could see what is shooting those rockets at me. Very annoying. |

I agree. We never really saw what was going on past the hill behind us. Only time I ever noticed it was when I was sniping from the Bridge or something.
Honest-to-God though I think this should get some priority at least before release. Sniping is sort of neutered with the scope ranges as long as they are. |

The devs have already said (it was in IRC, and had been reposted here last weekend) that draw distance is being worked on. |

I killed at least three people this weekend sniping when they were out of my draw distance. Super annoying, but also satisfying to kill people who can't even see you (literally). |
