Just some helpful advice:
Don't try and get people thinking they can run an alpha and be plexing their account shortly. It will involve an intolerable amount of grind, and you will burn people out at a huge rate. Getting new players on the grind treadmill makes a lot of people quit. I make 300 mill an hour ratting, and even though I could grind out a plex a day, it would drive me up the wall from the monotony.
You can't be a generic, we do it all corp. Pick something to focus on and do that. Industrial/PvP/explo high sec corps invariably turn to ****, since you have too many competing interests.
The sooner you get noobs into null, the better. People who live too long in high sec get infected with carebearitis. Eve is fundamentally two different games. High sec, and the rest of New Eden. Too much time in high sec makes you all sorts of hot garbage at the rest of EvE.

Sounds good Big B. The Eternal Noxium Imperium is recruiting for November. A few Eve Veteran friends of mine are going to log back on. Been playing EvE for two years before Dust Came out. In fact my Dust toon is a member. I normally help out new players in EvE and would welcome a chance to get my fellow Dust players in a chat room to answer questions. As for H.O.N.K., or whatever name is ultimately decided, my corp will stand by you guys, alliance or otherwise. =)

Too True. DO NOT get stuck in the idea that because your level 4 mission runner has never been beaten that ships shouldn't blow up. Had to learn that fact the hard way. You go big, you lose a ship. Its not cry, its good fun, good fight.

I did play a bit of FW solo (as none of my corp mates or contacts were even interested). I would advise against trying to FW solo in EVE as there are those that patrol FW systems just to get some easy kills. The sooner you relinquish your primitive notions of putting the interests of NPC faction above those of your own corporation the better. Players/preachers like you make me apprehensive about going back to EVE at all. And just FYI; not every corporation has the best intentions; there are plenty out there that merely want to sit back and tax its members. I was part of one such corp at the time I tried FW in EVE. Thanks for the sermon and being a d!ck though. BTW, I was not the one the brought FW up; you did. I was just replying with my FW experience in EVE. We probably won't focus on FW early on. We want to focus training the new members as quickly as possible. Will be doing that by actively communicating in discord as well as going on scheduled roams and Wormhole expeditions. The fastest way to learn about the game is to play the game. FW can be a good content creator, but my experience with it has indicated to me that it'll probably be beyond our means early on. We might dabble in it a little bit later on for some fights. But I can't see anything good coming out of it early on when most are members won't even understand basic mass fleet commands
Faction warfare is a good start for two reasons. You get used to PvP combat and the perks that Militia LP provide. In many cases, faction ammo and gear is better than Tier 2 modules and don't require Tier 2 skills to use. I

Actually, Blaziken, how far are you willing to go with this? Engineering Complexes are coming out with that expansion, and the Blueprints will be seeded before the expansion drops. Have you considered building one of those to use as a base of operations?
If we could use donations or other means to scrape together enough ISK to build a Medium to build ships from it could allow us to just roam around not giving a **** about trying to find replacement ships. Obviously there'd be some of us that would need to work on coming up with income, but with enough members I don't think we'd have a problem.
I'd gladly help contribute time to this project. ****, maybe we could get really crazy and try and set up an Azbel(Large) in Molden Heath? Get our old "stomping grounds" back? This is my current vision for the corporation as I see it now, it is subject to change at any time so I would be happy for suggestive criticism. I'm going to set up the corp in a system that is in highsec, relatively safe, it is 4 jumps from one of the major trade hubs, has fairly good asteroid belts, is right next to a low-sec system in case you want to risk your ship to mine some more valuable ore, and is 8 jumps from nullsec. The station I am planning on renting has everything a station needs, industry, ship repair, you name it, so it can cater to players of all playstyles. Once we grow a bit, we will run frequent fleet ops into nullsec where we will attack anyone and everyone just for the purpose of practice. After the corp's ability to work together as a fleet improves, we will return in force to take back Molden Heath and our old "stomping grounds" will be ours once more and we can get to building Engineering Complexes/Citadels/whatever. After that, then we will see about getting some territory in nullsec. Keep in mind, all of this is months upon months of work, so it will require a dedicated group that will not give up for anything and will keep on fighting till the end.
Which Station and where. I know a few high sec stations that, because of there proximity to low sec, are full of pirates waiting fr new corps to start up. What sounds like a gold mine is really a honey trap for honey badgers.

If I'm remembering correctly if an alpha clone were to train all skills available to them, they'd cap at 5mil SP, I think. No idea how long that would take, but I'm sure it'd be over a month anyway. |

It would take just short of a year. The true time varies depending on what neuro implants you have, but 5 million SP takes about 5-6 months in EVE for an OMEGA clone, and an alpha clone learns at half the speed so it would probably take about a year to learn them all for an alpha clone. (I think). Unless your allowed to buy skill injectors and use them. You can buy them in game for 500 million isk. But if your buying skill injectors, why aren't you just buying plex instead?

While all of that's true, there are drawbacks to FW. Like once you have engaged in FW you end up with terrible stats with the opponent race/faction, and that can be disastrous if you're trying to cross their territory anytime in the future, and that's even after you've left FW.
As for T2 (Tech 2, not tier 2) gear and skills, most T2 gear is a LOT cheaper than the faction gear, and with the extra skills you can use the T2 gear as well as any T2 ammo that may be available for T2 weaponry. T2 ammo is definitely better than T1 ammo and can ONLY be used in T2 weapons. Faction weapons can only use T1 (Tech 1) ammo, although there is faction ammo (which is still T1) which can be used in any T1 weapons for greater power. T2 is still better if you can train for it, because you ultimately have better skills and the gear is nowhere near as expensive. |

Been thinking about starting a new EVE account just to try out the improved New Player Experience. The NPE was almost non-existent when I started in 2008.
That and the fact that the last time I came back to EVE after a long absence I got most of my expensive ships blown up before I learned to play again. So I am thinking that if I decide to go back to EVE it might be best to start fresh with a new account, and then go back to my old account after I got the hang of things again.
... so, if I start a new account, I will likely join H.O.N.K.

I was planning on getting involved with H.O.N.K. but been pretty busy with real life lately. The little time I've had for gaming I've spent on Battlefield 1 as I recently reconnected with a few DUST players on it. Anyway, I am on vacation next week where I will have some extended down time to finally get on EVE. I hope everyone in H.O.N.K. is having fun with EVE as that is the true factor whether or not players will keep playing. Like DUST, don't sweat dying that often and definitely don't sink all your ISK into a single fit as you are almost guaranteed to lose it.

I have removed all roles from my 2 mains and finished making a replacement alt Ceo for my personal corp. But I have a couple of questions:
I noticed you joined The Sixth Empire, how much control does the space pope have over your corp? I will be honest, I hate Amarr. Are you guys in many wars since you joined them? Are you still based out of high sec? Did you do anything in-game this weekend?
I have been very busy lately helping a mate build a house, so not much time to play eve at the moment but looking forward to getting back to blowing ships up asap.
I went outside today... The graphics were good, but the gameplay was shit.

I have been very busy lately helping a mate build a house, so not much time to play eve at the moment but looking forward to getting back to blowing ships up asap. The Sixth Empire is designed to be run by the members of the alliance, so while the space pope is technically at the top, we're free to do what we want. However, we do work closely with the alliance for mining ops and general fleets.
H.O.N.K. has nothing to do with the Amarr or fw, and i'm pretty sure that can be said for most of the alliance too.
As for wars, yes we're in one, and we're still temporarily based out of high sec, but providing you don't use autopilot and you stay away from the systems they're based around, you'll be fine.
I'm not sure what's happening this weekend. There's an npsi fleet with the alliance iirc.
