Start citizen release some footage + teaser for their Star Marine FPS module. Did you (or CCP) consider it as you major competitor? Also because you can see their progress untill we still didn't know what project Nova is - did you think you can offer competitive advantages against SC?

That's an idea for a map setting... Since Quafe is a large part of the lore's market, you could fight in a Quafe factory for in-universe corporations that want to take control of one.

Ships in carrier hangar dock. I always thought it would be cool to not be teleported on board of enemy ship in space, but instead board it with some landing ship(as a passenger without control of the vessel).

Btw , here's another great idea . if P.C ever gets introduced in NOVA , later down the line . have a 3 phase battle , for example : first battle will take place in ( enemy carrier / MCC / titan / space station base etc ) . if victorious , enemy ( attacked team ) retreats back to ground level ( production facility / mining facility / clone facility ) to fight it out there . the reasoning to this , is to make the battle more unique and unpredictable . its a change of pace battle . its a game changer in the sense as if the Attacking/Defending team had eve orbital support . "your boarding enemy ( space station / MCC / titan etc ) that has different layouts , & then again you hit the ground and everything is different as well . just a thought .

Paragon doesn't have as much of an emphasis on snap-rotation movement and pin-point aim as a PC FPS. You ever notice how someone playing an FPS on PC seems to whip around instantly whenever they want to change direction? That's because the game directly translates their mouse movement to their character without any interference or slowing.
A controller just can't match the combination of lightning-fast speed and pin-point precision that a mouse gives by allowing you to move your hand in large strokes across your desk before stopping that motion immediately on a target and maintaining aim with small, slower movements to get the kill. Thumbsticks don't allow for that kind of input.

Sure. I believe CCP games have same problems in 2004 but at the end they find solution.

I am not too concerned about what isn't being said and much more about what the influence is for the new project. The most important thing as to whether the project is good is what was the for thought and inspiration going in. In other words, was the successes and failures of DUST properly examined and did they inspire CCP to achieve greatness, mediocrity, or a journey down another path entirely? Do you long to make something great from the premises that DUST based on or will the goal be to make a COD or BF4 in space or something entirely new? And BTW what other things out there were you guys n gals playing or watching that may have influenced the direction? I really think it should go in a direction similar to Angel Fall First(still in early access on Steam) as well as take conceptual ideas from Planetside. I don't think that trying to create a clone of BF or COD will ever work for your company because of the name and money behind those companies. No Man's Sky might be something you should consider as people bought in to a indie studio based on the concepts Hello Games put out there despite the failure to deliver. NMS in some ways even reminds me of DUST in some ways, but was able to be the most successful indie game in history based on amazing PR that put things out there and people went crazy for just the ideas. I think if you make a round based shooter you can have success but most likely never make anything great or substantial in the history of gaming. Or you can go and try and make an open world, procedurally generated game that provides fresh new adventures within the lore of New Eden. Or atleast something that considers the concepts behind both and maybe slowly rolls out unique features(perhaps with and intelligent F2P model based on cosmetic and luxury in game purposes-I actually like a simple buy to play get features up front system but most studios seem to be moving away from that concept). Anyway space is hot right now and it may seem stupid to wait to release a product, but I think it is important that you make the best game possible. OR you could just #PORTDUSTTOANDROID and I could atleast visit me district cargo hub and watch my clone living it up in retirement sipping virgin screwdrivers while driving around in his invisible LAV 5.0 with the top rolled down so his hair can blow.

Luckily I still have my old eve char lying around and have been playing that since 2014 or so. I certaintly didn't buy 1000 of every dust item and are holding them in my station hanger.
Been logi'ing since release. Need to give those needles and self proclaimed king of logi hugs ^-^

Dual Universe does NOT have any form of FPS gameplay.
It looks like a great game and I'm planning to play it myself, but don't get into it with faulty expectations or you'll just end up pissed.
