For those of you that are good at what you do, there's a cache of rare, limited edition Council's Modified Repair Tool BPO and Aurum waiting. Unique new missions with War Point and Kill Assist goals are here. Now go and show the leverage that logistics brings to battle! Time Period: Nov 27 11:00 UTC - Dec 1 11:00 UTC. During this time period, players will encounter a persistent, unique, and un-rerollable mission: Earn 10,000 War Points. Reward: Council's Modified Repair Tool BPO. In addition, bonus daily mission will also be introduced throughout this event period: Score 50 Kill Assists. Reward: 400 AUR. CCP Frame, CCP Community Team

Considering last few events have required around 20 games worth of work perhaps up the required WP to 50k. still obtainable even with a basic logi suit but not too easy that players will farm the hell out of the bpo Please fix my C-II hitpoints!! Some of the events in the past have had quite high requirements, or demanding requirements (for instance, destroying installations is not part of regular gameplay for most non-vehicle players, though obviously heavies with forge guns, for example, didn't struggle with it either). This event doesn't require you to be a logi, or grind for days to complete, but the main reward is something most logis should hopefully appreciate. Sure, the requirement could have been higher, but apparently none of those involved in the decision felt the need to make this event a pain in anyone's ass :) zariamindeir on Twitter&Gmail

I'm not against doing an Iron Man event in which you have literally one (1) day to get 25,000,000 WP. This event was designed with the feedback presented from the previous event in that it was too difficult to achieve while working against numerous glitches such as the black screen glitch. If we're seriously going to complain about events being too easy after just talking about them being too hard and complain about events pandering toward veterans versus new players, we'll just make the events impossible for everyone. However I just wish it was a little more themed around logis to actually get the WP. It is good that this event is inclusive I just feel like you could throw out a few more logi specific goals in there. As for the actual Rep Tool BPO reward.... I want that. So much that I will come back to play for the event. (Could we get one with even more range? Am I the only one that uses the Lai Dai with Min logi for that sweet rep range?)

What would you think of players being able to choose 'specialist' missions when they log in for the day? Like, say, right now we have just normal, random missions thrown at the players. But what if, when they logged in, they could choose missions more appropriate to their playstyle? Slayer role, logi role, hacker role, etc. and depending on which Specialist role you chose for the day, it would determine what kind of daily missions you would get, or, at the very least, your likelihood to generate certain missions, and said specialist missions would be more likely to offer gear suited toward the role you chose. Someone who chose Hacker specialist missions would be more likely to get things like dampeners, kin-cats, or codebreakers, as an example. Hopefully this might be a part of 1.3? Then events like this could exclude kills as a source of WP. Great first Logi event. Short, not too grindy, and over a holiday weekend here in the States. Perhaps the start of bi-annual Logi Events??? Council Rep Tool should be somewhere between the BDR-2 and the Core, but have dual rep beams. Maybe make it reach 3 targets, but rep much slower than the others, or even 4 targets, but only at 25% of the speed of the typical repair tool. Rewarding kill assists is great as it is much better for newer players, rather than just the stomp squads. I think I would rather see kills and kill assists though, as just rewarding assists creates a slightly weird situation where it's best not to kill enemies. Still, pretty nice, rewards teamwork. Warpoints are ok, but they aren't really specifically aimed at logis. I consider the fact that logis earn significantly more warpoints than other roles to be a game balance problem, rather than something to celebrate. I would rather the reward was only for warpoints generated by equipment, than just general warpoints. So kills, assists, hacks, squad commission and vehicle damage wouldn't count. That would make it much more a logi event, accepting that other classes can also use equipment. Events are best when it encourages players to play the game a bit differently, whilst still encouraging them to win (no installation destruction). Still, should be fun .

The rapid-firing and low-ammo players watching over it with you will be grateful. As for the Rep Tool, that was a server back up bug, so I hear. I think anyone who got it day 1 lost it during downtime but CCP are aware of it (thanks to the CPM) and should return it. Purifier.
