The reason we love this game so much is because there isn't just one thing we love about it. The idea for this game runs deep and multifaceted. An economy, hierarchy, team work, a +50 kill points that reward us for our tactical play and brute force at times, variety of races/suits/weapons/technology/suit bonuses. However, lately, I've been finding this game less appealing for reasons that go beyond this cool idea. The problem is the technology. 500mb of RAM on a PS3 is worse than my Galaxy tab 1. And that thing is OLD.

Problems such as lag, hit detection, and HORRIBLE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE matchmaking, have made this game stale with time. Hotfix FoxFour seems promising, but will fail to deliver a beautiful game for the reasons afore mentioned. This game needs to port to PC or PS4. Whichever one, they need to do it soon. This IDEA of a game has had enough BETA testing. Let's get the real game now, CCP. Quit slacking.

The PS controllers usually require a little program download before use from my experience but work just as good. IMHO both types of interface have their pros and cons. In an equal playing field I feel that KB/M is superior for fine adjustment, fine aiming. Where as the controller is clearly a much better thing to use with certain vehicles (cough dropships) and hell in other games it is much better for hack and slashes, fighting games, racing or driving games, arcade games... And I said that repeatedly whenever I saw threads like these pop up every now and then. That was during the time span of maybe a whole year or two. Of course, even I have my limits to how long I would wait for CCP to say anything about it other than "we want to port it". There is a stark difference between saying "want to port it" and "planning to port it." The planning part is what everyone is now looking for you to say, CCP. Considering that we are now nearing the end of our Development Road Map according to the official Trello board that CCP Rattati himself setup (see link below) and all that is left is just a handful of backlog items to get Dust 514 up to speed, now is the time for CCP to actually say something in regards to porting. https://trello.com/b/R44szWCe/dust-514-development-roadmap Let me clear. I do NOT care which of the two platforms (PC or PS4) Dust would be ported over. In fact, quite a lot of others now do not seem to care either. All I want is for Dust 514 to no longer be trapped in this hellhole we call the PS3. Content streamlining like you would expect to see from the Power Core idea brought up during these past few months may help a lot in terms of improving Dust, but the hardware limitations are becoming ever more apparent. The issue with hardware limitations is now upgrading from being the 500 LB gorilla in the room to the full-blown elephant in the room. It is becoming more and more difficult to ignore any longer at this point. After Warlords 1.3 comes around, CCP will have to make an official announcement about where Dust is going. Is it staying on the PS3 for good? Or is it finally moving on to a better platform? PS: I would be ok with losing my ISK and some of my assets if a character transfer is ever possible. But I want to at least keep my name as well as my SP (depending on how the next-gen skill progression will be). If more than a year of asking has produced nothing, if people(foolishly, IMO) still pumping money into a game that has effectively finished development hasn't convinced CCP to announce the port is in production, it is more likely that there isn't anything being worked on. I think if CCP had something to show they would have, because it would spur the whales to spend more because the games permanence had been saved. Have to disagree. There are cases where CCP keeps their lips sealed, but the company is generally very vocal about their achievements, normally long before they are ready for prime time. By the time the rift goes into release, we will have had almost two years of hyping valkryie, by the time the player owned gates show up in late 2016, they will be at least 18 months from their first concrete announcement, citadels have been in the pipe for almost a year, and brain in a box was first brought up at fanfestastrophe 14 I think.
