Give me your knee jerk reaction, pros, cons, benefits of having a sub, and discuss! Potential sub price? Same as EVE Online & Planetside 2 @ $15 USD a month? So long as the free-to-play model with subscription does not emulate, say, Runescape, where important gameplay-things are locked behind subscription fees, then have at it. Discounts, exclusive skins, or other subscription incentives would be fine by me. So long as they remain outside the realm of important gameplay functions. However, I doubt CCP could make subscription appealing enough under those circumstances. There would be three "classes" so to speak. You have the "upper class" subscribers, "middle class" people who pay but don't subscribe, and the "lower class" who are free-to-play. The interactions among the three classes would probably include whining and disparaging remarks. Nothing we haven't seen. I doubt most players would respond in any way other than with discourse, civil or otherwise. If subscription were to cause some to react in more severe ways (quitting, getting a Sony refund, cease buying AUR, etc) then I'd say the reasons for that are more do to other underlying reasons and displeasure with the game (lack of racial parity, bad matchmaking, etc). I would think these cases would be outliers. Depends entirely on the price of the package. 30 day Booster is like $7 right? So if you have Active and Passive running that's about $14 a month. Give me like $10 in AUR to play with and I'd probably drop $15 a month on that. Though I had to say I'd like to have Active Boosters changed around a bit....I dont like paying for timed active generation like that. I think there was recently a thread about what would you like to see in dust. I think I wrote about three paragraphs, or something. The lore? Oh, hell yeah. Of course I dislike the Gallente, because I'm Caldari. But this is part of the lore. I also really admire the Ammar, and I love the explosive weapon tech of the Min! Long story short, if there were some kind of subscription, then the game would have the funding to get better, perhaps faster? F2P is the best way to grab a large amount of players in a short time. - It's nice to not be punished for taking a break from playing. - If Dust/Legion becomes more successful on the next platform it will likely draw more players into EVE anyways. !--CCP, let's push for the license of Dust on both current Gen consoles--!
