SKINs sales for subscribers; 25 - 50% off certain SKINs for a week or something.
I'm all for it. I would happily sub. CCP would benefit from a better method to make a profit from this game beside the AURbarge .Heimdallr69 wrote:On a ps4 sure..on this hunkajunk PS3 hell no Also, this...

Aiwha Bait wrote:You would sub just for SKIN sales? :P Anything else that might incentivize you to subscribe? Those built in boosters mentioned above would tempt me. Perhaps X free keys every month. To integrate with the existing warbarge monetization; subbers' component factories are 50% more efficient.

There is simply not enough content to justify a 15 buck a month subscription. This isn't a precise enough answer. Obviously you would not be interested in a Dust subscription, but are you opposed to the entire concept for everyone? After all, this is an option so you personally could stay F2P.

Bright Cloud wrote:on a other note on PS4 you have to subscribe to PS+ and i would certainly not pay double subscription just to play online on the PS4 and then a sub for Dust. Double fee= epic fail. Non issue since the Dust 514 sub is optional.

Seurimas Otg wrote:I would love to see a good, friendly subscription model in DUST. A MUD I played for a while picked up a side-subscription model, on top of microtransactions, that I felt worked very well and could work very well here.
So, the basic is idea is to just load on a bunch of ala carte bonuses for subscription, a bonus to microtransactions, and a bit of currency to boot.
For example, the $15 Dust subscription could look like:
* 25% bonus to passive SP gain (increases by 2% for each month you keep your subscription active, to a max of 35%) * 15% bonus to active SP gain (increases by 1% for each month you keep your subscription active, to a max of 20%) * 10% bonus to ISK gain (increases by 1% for each month you keep your subscription active, to a max of 15%) * 10% bonus to LP gain (increases by 1% for each month you keep your subscription active, to a max of 15%) * 15% more Aurum when purchased (increases by 4% each month you keep your subscription active, to a max of 35%) * 10 hacked decryptor keys (a month) * 20,000 Aurum (a month) (slightly than if you just spent the $15 on Aurum)
That's just an example, and maybe not perfectly suited to DUST, but I'd buy the crap out of it! 11/10, would purchase sub in year increments.

Joel II X wrote:Why would I pay if there were a F2P option?
Actually, before that, why would I pay MONTHLY for a game that can barely run properly, if at all?
At least give us 50fps to even BEGIN to consider it lol You need CCP to make Dust "run properly" at 50 FPS. CCP needs Dust to remain profitable. Keeping Dust profitable allows CCP to continue developing Dust and port it when possible.
MAN I WISH THERE WAS SOME WAY TO HELP BOTH PARTIES GET WHAT THEY NEED HERE. HMMMMM. GEE WILLIKERS. THIS ONE IS A REAL HEAD SCRATCHER.

Magnus Belmont wrote:No one would pay a subscription to play Dust firstly.
Secondly, what would be the point of having a subscription OR being able to play for free if you wanted still?
If you want to give money to Dust, go buy Aurum, that's what it's there for. A sub option in other F2P MMORPGs gives a bundle of features for one flat monthly rate. That's part of the appeal; you can always count on getting X bonuses for $15 a month.
I believe the author acknowledges that Dust 514 shouldn't be a subscription game, but instead a F2P game with a subscription option. For a good example of how a sub option can be implemented look at Planetside 2.
