Sometimes it looks a bit like there is some unspoken of magnetism as every shot goes right into a Caldari head.

I sometimes wonder how OP the Caldari pistol, that I've come to love, is. I definitely didn't enjoy it, when the fire rate was higher. I use it pretty frequently, and there definitely isn't any magnetism there. It takes a lot of aiming, and people who stage really well, are good at avoiding my shots. Mostly frantic scout types. I still haven't tried the Ion Pistol, so I can't say. All I can say, is maybe the bolt pistol needs a nerf

I believe the bolt pistol's magnetism is the exact same as the breach scrambler pistol's magnetism.
Flaylock is Aoe, and the Ion can rapid fire.
I'm all about sidearm balance, as I really love running sidearm only fits, I'd honestly wish there were sidearm suits specialized in dust.
The bolt pistol is the number 2 sidearm but the gap between number 2 and number 1 is massive (BrSMG). Attacking the bolt pistol before the SMG seems to display alternative motives rather than balance because the first thing that comes to mind when I think of sidearm parity is equalizing the smg to the other sidearms.
That doesn't mean that sidearm parity wouldn't nerf the bolt pistol in a particular manner, but clearly not looking at the biggest offender in sidearm imbalance is suspect.

There's similar aim adhesion across pistols (yes, I'm trying my hand at the Ion Pistol -- dat charged headshot doe).
More so on the Scrambler Pistol, it seems. There is higher user error on the Bolt Pistol, but the damage overrides that a tad.
