You guys in here qqing ringers would be wise to hear what Yoshi is telling you- elimination or limiting individuals' ability to "freelance" work on their own will do nothing but forge the most powerful donut corps and alliances possible.
Not to mention the idea that Mercenaries, combatants motivated by private gain, is fundamentally what we all are at the end of the day so limits on mercenary behaviour removes more gameplay than it creates. The ability to Independently Contract should be considered in the context of Inalienable Right and any effort to change that an affront to the common core of us all.
We have the Right to Fight for Whom WE choose, for whatever payment WE decide is worthwhile and agree to.
Al this qq about players playing the game as structured and intended just comes across to those of us who saw the challenges and worked to overcome them as senseless, needless and pathetically infantile.
The #1 factor in reducing PC activity and the playerbase as a whole in recent months has been the capitulation on the part of CCP to the QQPC playerbase on turning PC payouts to garbage. Plain and Simple. You claimed the PC players were hurting the game, you've gotten your way and now guess what? The game at all levels, in all areas is made worse overall. I wonder who that missing playerbase in the matchmaker was, where they went and why?
I'm not excusing the often ...abrasive...conduct of PC players who roam the map and/or PC channels looking for fights, simply stating that this QQ faction is worse. Both in inspiration and in repurcussion.

The reason it doesn't get grammer-nazied (usually, lol) is because it's not an abbreviation or some phonetic, its an illustrative. Like any of the other emoticons lined up at the top of the reply box. "QQ" is right in there with "8)" or "8P" or "XD".
Its just two little eyes crying so normally easy to understand and hard to **** up. Unlike **** poor spelling and/or grammer.

What does that have to do with what I just said? The elimination of free contract ringing =/= PC 2.0. Is that what we're calling it now? Free contracting? Why don't they sign a contract? Why are they not bound to atleast attempt finishing the contract? Why does it just really resemble trolling more than ANYTHING ELSE? Lol. Aside what people are telling you about how limiting mercs will bring about super alliances/donuts, limiting mercenaries because of some damn sick code of honor or feeling that it's "slimy" or whatever is wrong, at best. Leave it free-contracting or else you'll end up with a very "sterile" system in a supposedly player-driven chaotic game.

The term "ringers" doesn't really link to a certain skill level. I mean, sure ringers usually have less cohesion and synergy with a team since they're not of the home team's organization, but other than that a ringer could still present a lot of skill and even over some skills the team doesn't have without them.

Anyways, ringers are inherently bad for your corp not for the game. you want to personally push for less ringers and more full corp teams that is how you get better.

All these corps own the most land in molden heath. All top tier corps got there by using their own players and not ringer teams. If you think ringer teams rule PC you are provably wrong. Ringers help smaller corps fill up there team so they don't have to go in short.
