it kills every thing -.- -.- my caldari assault dies within instant with a militia scrambler and the assault srambler and my cal scout LOL its a petrol and all the other weapons are flamethrowers with just kills it in an instant ...!1  uuugg it IS AN OVERPOWERD WEAPON...! NERF IT CCP |

The ScR is a laser weapon. It is designed to completely destroy shields.
Caldari are, say it with me... SHIELD tankers.
Explain to me why the laser weapon, a weapon designed to be strong vs. shields and weak vs. armor, shouldn't be able to burn down Caldari dropsuits...

There are just a lot of people using scramblers. If all of those players were using ARs, this would be a 'CCPZ, nerf ARs' thread.
Not that the gun isn't 'op', it certainly is marginally better than other guns in its class. However, that doesn't matter much in the end. Your play style is universally to blame for any deaths you incur, with the occasional exception of elevated lag. Use cover, fight in pairs, and take ownership of your weaknesses. |

Except this sentence.
ScR isn't very popular compared to other rifles. Same goes for number of ScR users per battle. It's never more than few for both teams.

OP probably tried to do CQC with a call assault so it gave him the illusion that there are more ScR than there really is

yeah that is a nice post.
you will die sometimes regardless because of the chaos of battle. But your playstyle and cunning will reduce that a lot, the reduction depends on how well your enemies use the chaos of war to there advantage.
The more players in a certain space, the higher the chaos factor, the harder it is to determine how strong a weapon is because the situations you get yourself in are based on so many players actions including your own that things can be confusing, such as a HMG looking like its UP compared to a Burst CR at 10m engagements on a caldari assault with jump mods etc.
The situations change so much so quickly sometimes, for some players, that they feel like they cant adapt or figure out a solution to a problem because of the unpredictable chaos factor. It can give them a skewered view on things sometimes.
Other times when not many players can find a reliable solution, you can arguably say a weapon might be OP. Other times you can argue player coordination allows a team to have too much control over causing chaos for the enemy.lol |

I have every weapon proto'd already except the swarms, sure ill agree the Carthum became powerful but it was meant to make it viable, the buffing was too much. only for Carthum to take out a Gk.0 almost instantaneously is if it had ehp of around 600 and less. Literally any proto weapon can do that.

I also run the Caldari Assault as well as the Amarr Assault. The scrambler kills my Caldari like the rail rifle kills my Amarr.

I shouldn't be this afraid of basic scramblers on suits that aren't Amarr but here I am, running from scrambler rifles like they're explosive rifles.

As long as 5/6 (83%) of infantry AV weapons are Anti Armor based you're never going to achieve vehicle balance CCP

I have ScR prof V, three light damage mods, and when I empty rounds into an armor dropsuit it is like punching a rhino in the ass: it just upsets the rhino.

Carthum = full auto
Viziam = semi auto

The weapon itself isn't OP. It's the fact that it can be abused with a Turbo controller. It also performs far too well outside of its intended role.
It needs to be adjusted to not work so well from close range and somehow stop the turbo controller abuse.

Basically increase spread to discourage CQC usage. I don't know about the turbo controllers though
