My argument is that everyone say M&K users get better aim while strafing. Idk how it feels using M&K vs a ps3 controller but I feel like just so people dont feel cheated for whatever reason we should all be playing dust using a controller because dust is on a ps3 console. If dust was ment for a computer like EVE then why put it on a console that uses different controller system. People say inorder to play Planetary Conquest with big corps like CAPITAL ACQUISITION you need to have a mouse and keyboard. To me thats not fair if it is true. I dont want to learn new settings just to play a game to have an equal chance at beating big corps, its just stupid and its another reason Dust sucks. Im sure im not the only one. I probably wont be on much longer cuz iv played this game for a long time and it has not gone anywhere but full circle. Seems like history is repeating itself on this game. Starter Fit Suits are OP :-)

Normally kb/m is better then controller. But not in dust. Because in dust controller has high aim assist. kb/m has 0 aim assist and the hit detection is rather poor. If hit detection was fixed an argument could be made for kb/m being better.

I used to FPS on a computer, I know how unfair vs. a controller it is. Personally I find a controller to be easier on the wrists and I don't like setting up a desk in front of my Tv D; Also some people need the USB outlets for their headsets so they can communicate with their team mates. Like most others I expected the M/KB to be superior but that's not the cause here anymore. I've been playing online since the 1st quake game so M/KB is what I know best and that's why I'm not apposed to it being removed from the game. They might as well remove it if they aren't going to properly support it. The only thing that I ask is that the KB remains supported for chatting in channels. Mainly while spriting (I guess sprint-bug had it's effect too ;P) and doing melee. Btw, do you guys also experience random melee strikes when trying to shoot while jumping/ falling?

You admit you don't know how it feels using mouse and keyboard compared to a controller, so how can you possibly have anything valuable to say on the matter? Try it out for a week, then comment.

As it is, you can point at a heavy's head with an assault rifle and do 0 damage with a mouse, while they rip through you in seconds as you strafe as fast as you can. Some weapons are better with kbm, but ds3 is superior overall.

I bought my mouse and keyboard for -ú14.99 and they work just fine. You don't need anything fancy unless you want to match what a ds3 user can do. I logi, forge gun and snipe mostly. Sometimes I use a hmg and am trying out mass driver and plasma cannon. I don't need a special, all-singing, all dancing sparkly mouse with 'I <3 CCP' bejazzled on it! Nobody does.

This is why this thread is so very important ! We need to continue to discus and make others aware that this is happening a lot in dust, despite what anyone else says. Hopefully CCP will take notice and work to compensate controllers players in future updates and hopefully in Legion as well. One major way in witch controller players can be made equal to advanced m/kb players is to simply provide another controller button layout that does not tie the sprint command to the R3 button.

Another redline sniper I see.. Ya, redline snipers have the longest lasting Joysticks... Uh, you keep looking at the redline will ya? I want to line a shot up on the back of your head. Did you know that the "redline" stereotyping that people like you spew on the forums are actually beneficial to many field snipers? Many people will dodge INTO the line of fire (because the area is out of LOS for the redline vista) giving many more opportunities to kill. Then later on the forums you'll often find the people you hit from the middle of the map complaining about "redline snipers". You'd be surprised how many of them can't read their hit markers. Holy crap. No one here was "complaining" or "spewing" stereotypes about redline sniping. I WAS SIMPLY MAKING AN INFERENCE THAT HE MUST NOT USE HIS SPRINT BUTTON MUCH FOR HIS CONTROLLER TO LAST FOR MULTIPLE YEARS, MUST BE A SNIPER. THEN YOU COME OUT OF LEFT FIELD AND TRY AND MAKE THIS THREAD SOME KIND OF SNIPER HATE THREAD... THIS IS ABOUT [KB/M vs. Controller] so get in the REAL convo. or watch your damn LIP. In fact, you are the one trying to create a new stereotype to justify your own opinion. For instance, you say "people like you" as if you know anyone like me... When in fact you don't KNOW JACK SCTRATCH, as well as a complete hipocrite. People like you he says....... HAAAAAAAAA "keep looking" for people like me..... FORGE/FLAYLOCK/FISTS PLASMA/PISTOL/PUNCH ALL OF YOU PUNKS GET HUMILIATED AFTER LUNCH!
