I have suggested this in one of my posts called "Active ewar." Well, no, with the range of reptools and the limited blast radius of explosives its not super effective. I've advocated using explosive weapons to 'encourage' camping logies and heavies out -- but in practice it is somewhat, but only barely, effective. It's not really hard for the heavy to stand out in the open, and maintain HMG fire while the logi hides far enough around a corner to not get caught by any splash. Of course this is all related to location. But, temporary 'suppression' equipment (such as a disruption grenade) would be cool, but easily unbalanced if not carefully implemented. Still, with the fact you only need to land it once before making a push, it's a cool idea.
