Stop asking me things you know I cannot answer.
Stop asking me things you know I don't have the answer for.
And finally I would greatly appreciate if people used less flourish in their concerns addressed because when I ask back "what is wrong?" The answers I get back I translate most of those responses to "I DON'T KNOW" and that is by far and large more frustrating.
To example this issue:
Blind Justice is perfect. Blind Justice is flawed. and I am complaining about it. Alleviate my concerns.
And lastly as others said in this thread.
CCP Rattati is all but one man. What I wouldn't give for a clone of him. Of course Warlords is not going to stack against Chromosome/Uprising 1.0; thats like asking for 3 Rattati (Rattatium? Rattaties?) at least.
The plural is Rattati

Well, to be honest, 7 months ago we just got started with CCP Rattati and many people including me didn't have that much hope. Looking back, it seems Rattati is the right choice for Dust development.

This thread makes my freaggin head hurt.
Maybe CCP Rattati needs to release a dev-blog on the amount of people actually working on Dust 514 right now to put kittens into perspective for the people who think that they're capable of shelling out massive updates.
I mean, if you ask me, that small team alone has already shelled out more content in the past three builds than 'The Dark Below' expansion for Destiny, but maybe I'm crazy.
Sniper range nerf did nothing but make it harder to counter-snipe redliners. That and open up for really stupid feedback

Weren't these things supposed to be the size of Orcas and hold an entire Corporation? Now they're just a single-person ship?
For the first Expansion of this game, this feels a bit meh.
Considering several wondrous bug fixes it has, hell no. If Warlords was just the warbarges, then I might be a wee disappointed, but personally they sound interesting (I just hope to god they are close to being balanced on release)...
... But there were three particular bug fixes which will improve quality-of-life in the game immensely, MCRUs will actually be selectable, no more wasting time loading into an almost-finished-match or even worse a victory screen...
... Best of all...
... GOD DAMN VEHICLES WILL STOP TELEPORTING A METER UPON HITTING THE SELECT SCREEN THUS FIREBALLING AGAINST THE NEAREST OBJECT OR FALLING THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE MAP!
Oh how much bloody damned isk I've lost through the entire history of dust that way...
So yeah, I'm ridiculously happy that these issues have been fixed, these are very important quality of life fixes imo.
Add in the rest of the stuff and I'm pretty happy.
Second best update yet imo.

Pretty much. Foxfour is primarily Eve Online, Wolfman is primarily Project Legion. Logicloop left as well. Nullarbor is back on Eve.

Bearing in mind that Blam was crazy and assumed balance came from implementing functionless features because they sounded cool. Remnant and Wolfman are both producers, not game designers. Rattati thinks like an Engineer, so it works out.
There's no real set "criteria" for what makes a good game designer, you either have it or you don't. One thing is for certain though: Having a developer be both a producer -and- a game designer doesn't work very well, based on previous experience with Uprising builds >_>;;;

Not underwhelmed in the least.
This small team of developers is putting out a release every month (excluding the Christmas break) since September. Releases include more than simply coding (testing, building the deployment package, QA), This team is putting out new features and fixes at a great pace.
Keep up the good work CCP. Rattati, thank your team for us at tomorrow's scrum. |

Go talk to CCP and tell them to drop the warbarges until it is a corporate ship used to transport mercs in Eve where one of our pilots controls them. Then tell them to scrap the Free-to-play model and port in to Legion and put the characters on the same subscription model as Eve. Oh and by-the-way, this sucks. I will reserve my stronger wording of my opinion on this matter for my bathroom.

For people trying to guess dev numbers from named suits, bear in mind that there have always been a number of devs in Shanghai that have never posted on the forums, and hence who have names that are not public, hence do not have named suits. And of course, as other players pointed out, some named suits may be named after devs no longer working on DUST as well. Unfortunately, suits will not give you any realistic answer about the size of the dev team.

CPM members who actively seek to better the game for themselves does not impress me. You keep thinking he is some type of something if you wish. I know he is in it for only himself.

Quote:I think we need to put things into context.
At FF 14, Rouge f*cked us over. We thought the game was dead, and had no idea what to expect from the future. Legion wasn't even "Green Lit," so even the PC gamers couldn't look forward to it.
Then along comes Rattati, making no promises, but arranging the numbers so that the weapons and dropsuits gradually become more and more balanced. We are told not to expect patches, and nothing was ever promised (hence the reason smart people said not to expect anything, contrary to what was said previously in the thread regarding those people).
Then we got 1.9, and 1.10.
Wow.
Suddenly we were getting real updates again! They weren't huge, and nothing massive was really added, but they were certainly larger changes than the hotfixes.
And now we are talking about content like warbarges and PC 2.0 that we thought were pipe dreams just a few months ago.
The content itself might not be huge an significant, but the fact we are here at all is.
I find lots of things that anger me about the game, and have played only once in 3 months or so because of it, but even I can acknowledge and be grateful that positive changes are occurring.
Heck, to put it into even more context,
Alot of us thought those were pipe dreams back before Dust was officially put on indefinite hold no updates status.
The fact that Rattati is making more meaningful updates with a smaller team than his predecessor speaks volumes to me. I for one, am happy with the updates we have gotten.
And I think it's important to mention the meaningful updates again. How many times did we wait several months to get a tweak to weapons or suits, then have to wait another couple of months for another tweak, then another tweak months down the road. Then we get smacked with, "we're so busy making tweaks we can't work on updates" Have we seen Rattati do this? Nope. What we see is Rattati asking players for help in balancing things, let's us know he's working on it, we get our hotfix/balance done, maybe a minor tweak, and a "Oh and by the way, 1.9/1.10 is coming out next week FYI surprise!"
Honestly? I'd love to see Rattati in control of Legion. |

By the use of "our" there, I did mean CCP, the CPM, and the playerbase as a sum whole feedback and revision process. Planetary Conquest revamp work cannot be done in a vacuum by CCP. It was important for CCP to get the plan out the door and for players to have a lot of time to make and push changes to it.

That being said, if CCP wants this game to be doing more than riding on the occasional AURUM purchases of a group of angry bittervets, they need to really step up the pace on content.
I will also say that the Project Legion situation has been hanging up in the air for far too long. You and your fellow CPM members would be well served to hound CCP about telling us SOMETHING about what the Shanghai division is working on.
Marketing Team be damned. I think we're all heavily invested enough in this to deserve at least a few tiny scraps of info.
