I mean, WarBarges as just a menu item for giving yourself more solo boosts? I thought maybe we might be seeing them as an asset used for PC.
Weren't these things supposed to be the size of Orcas and hold an entire Corporation? Now they're just a single-person ship?
For the first Expansion of this game, this feels a bit meh.

The PC stuff is important to take our time with because as the feedback area has shown, it's a contentious topic that needs time to collect feedback and get it right. There's some exciting crud coming. So now every single player in the game has a Destroyer sized ship of their own?
Also, Kevall was saying something about MCCs being able to fit in there, but those are supposed to be 200 meters long based on the description of them in their DevBlog. I realize the placeholders we have no are smaller because of our small map size, but does this now mean the placeholder size is the final size?
Like I said in that other thread, it feels like this game is continually decreasing in size and scope, and that's very disappointing.

CCP, I'm going to triple-dog-dare you right now to release a feature in the Q2 patch that adds new content and has NO AURUM component whatsoever. You up to the challenge?

There are smaller dev teams that have done a LOT more.

The worst part is potentially getting ADV and PRO vehicles.
Now we'll have people whining for MORE Swarm buffs because their maxed out Wyrkomis with 3x Damage Mods will have targets they can't instantly annihilate.

Rattati isnt even going to give adv/pro vehicles extra slots so it still will be 3/2 layout and imagine a current basic gunnlogi with 2 hardeners and an extender all complex and whatever in the lows - That will be classed as proto in the future Why does the vehicle fitting screen have so many slots when no vehicle will ever have more than 5-6 slots?

CCP, GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. YOU HAVE AMAZING CONTENT, AWESOME CONCEPTS. BUT YOUR GAME RUNS LIKE SH!T.
FIX THE GAME.
The content additions and quality of life improvements are awesome... But it will all be wasted by the pure utter player rage that happens on a minute basis when a player actually tries to play your game with any consistency...
The game can't keep upto the average player. There will be a patch update to fix later issues, but it will require 28,000 AUR to purchase it. Confirming that there will be a paid expansion to make the game run at 28 frames per second, and another in 3 months that will bring it up to 29 and actually fix the memory leak.
No word on 30.

The game can't keep upto the average player. They haven't gotten it yet, I doubt they ever will. Every time they even bother to give any sort of resonse to questions about the game performance (which is almost never), the response is, basically, "too much work, but we are adding a new shiny, so, how about you buy more aur". Don't forget taking the old salvage mechanic, putting a new graphic on it, and then locking it behind a paywall.

Not all underwhelmed. Perhaps not as huge an overhaul as Chromosome --> Uprising 1.0, but it is as big and sexy as any update we've seen since. Considering the fact that we were life support not that long ago, I'm nothing short of excited. And we've only seen the very start of it. Further, Warlords will have Uprising beat in that it'll lack that certain "one suit, one gun" feel Uprising left us with clear through it's sixth update, when we got pick from four Fine Rifles rather than one. Warlords is entirely eye-candy and more paid content with no improvement to any of the gameplay mechanics that actually matter.

You saved me some time.
Truth be told, matchmaking and performance have always been at the very bottom of CCP's priority list.
No, I don't care about anyone who says I can't know that because I don't work there, I'm saying that based on their track record, which is pretty ****-poor.
No matter how much content and shiny stuff the game gets added to it, it won't do anything about how you keep forcing monetization into EVERYTHING, and about how the matchmaking and framerate are both terrible. Why would I want to keep playing a game where I consistently get put up against entire teams of top-tier players because the matchmaker can't put an equal number of squads on each team, and the game won't even hold 20 frames per second in a fight?

For the first Expansion of this game, this feels a bit meh. These are MERCENARY warbarges... They are more like the size of cruisers I would imagine. The COPRORATION warbarges are next release, and CCP never said they were the size of Orcas - that was player speculation. : https://trello.com/b/R44szWCe/dust-514-development-roadmap No, that is not player speculation.
That was specifically stated in the discussion of Dust/Legion that was broadcast at EVE Vegas, along with dicussions of updates to PC mechanics.

Guess they could have waited for months and months to build up and blow a grandiose load. How big of a load would it take to make you happy, Mobius? I don't mind taking steps toward a goal, nor do I think the act of doing so detracts from the achievement of said goal. How many steps have actually been taken in the last few months?

There's some exciting crud coming. Quit saying, "we, our, us" as if you are a developer. You got voted in by default. By the use of "our" there, I did mean CCP, the CPM, and the playerbase as a sum whole feedback and revision process. Planetary Conquest revamp work cannot be done in a vacuum by CCP. It was important for CCP to get the plan out the door and for players to have a lot of time to make and push changes to it. I may not like you, but I at least understand the ****** position of being blamed for everything because you aren't authorized to tell us anything about what CCP is actually doing, thus we honestly have no measure of your competence.
That being said, if CCP wants this game to be doing more than riding on the occasional AURUM purchases of a group of angry bittervets, they need to really step up the pace on content.
I will also say that the Project Legion situation has been hanging up in the air for far too long. You and your fellow CPM members would be well served to hound CCP about telling us SOMETHING about what the Shanghai division is working on.
Marketing Team be damned. I think we're all heavily invested enough in this to deserve at least a few tiny scraps of info.

But, warlords does not seem like the next major build of Dust 514. It is the same thing as Uprising. It looks just like a regular update patch/hotfix for Uprising (1.11 if you will?).
Adding more content and re-working existing aspects of the game is all well and good. But what this game needs is some serious work on its basic nuts-and-bolts mechanics.
Fix stuff! Make it perform better, clean up the buggy code, work on the gameplay mechanics. That kind of stuff won't add any shiny new bells and whistles like the recent updates, but the game will be immeasurably and objectively better for it.
Having said that, I haven't played in 4-5 months (PS3 broke). But I want to! He mentioned on Trello that they've done hardware testing that has found them a way to squeeze more frames out of the game, but they aren't sure if they want to use that for just buffing current framerates, or increasing the player count to 48 like it was supposed to be in the first place.
