So, when people ask "what do you play", i get one of teo responses. 1) why, that game is a piece of garbage. 2) i'll give it a shot. This response morphs into response 1 within a month. I've gotten one friend to join on a semi-consistant basis, but i credit my corp. They are generally some of the coolest people you could ever hope to meet. Have you considered a career in costumed aggression?

Usually giving a good explanation to how everytime a mercenary dies they loose that fitting or set of items is an amazing concept for the average console gamer today to grasp.

I don't even try to sell my referal code any more. Mostly I just talk about some of the crazy matches I have had and all the diversity that can be found In the suits and mods. Most never make it long after academy though because of the poop match making. Nobody wants to play a game that you lose time after time after time. Besides me of course. Hello? any one there?

The sad part is all of those were before matchmaking got even worse and strongboxes became the center piece of the game.

It takes a lot to persevere while taking a beating for months on end. Dust players are alone in that category. This game is awesome. It's frustrating. When you get even marginally successful at it, that is an accomplishment. If you want to just plug in a game and be good at it within a few hours of game play, this is the wrong place. Anyone who appreciates any of that would enjoy this game

I am addicted to it however since dust is old, buggy and has a small player base there would have to be FPS that I would like more because there are so many choose from and there would have to be better FPS in the future .

This was a free to play game that nearly anyone with a PS3 could give a try and have an entrance point to the New Eden Galaxy... CCP Was supposed to craft their NPE and take a new player by the hand and show them how to play the game.. What the tools are and what they do.... And introduce them to the lore and splendor of the New Eden Galaxy... CCP Shanghai's ability to wrap a new player in immersion for a few weeks is null in void....

Because it's not just the your decisions and other players hurting your gear or pocket book but it's also the broken core mechanics that push people over the edge. Yet some of us just keep coming back to the razor.....
Nirwanda Vaughns 1228	Posted - 2015.01.17 17:25:00 - [33] - Quote i've had several friends try the game and pretty much hated it. some saying its the worse fps game they've played. mainly down to the difficulty and bad matchmaking and being proto stomped, for months i've suggested ways of gamemodes that limit what meta level can be used because thats the main thing that pushes new players around. going from the academy to the general scrub pool is like taking a fish from the little bag you have it resting in and throwing it into the shark tank. if there was some kinda Academy+ mode where vets could go with new players in and you can only use MLT gear so they can get used to the mechanics without all the try hards killing them as soon as they spawn it'd help the NPE because the amount of guys in my pub channels that are slowly getting fed up of lag, proto stomps, matchmaking and just general 'bad gamingness' of dust we'll soon have no one left. CCP should have been doing this big push 18months ago instead of the last few months of the games life Never argue with an idiot. they bring you down to their level and beat you through experience proud C-II bpo owner

You get an EVE-like tutorial at the beginning. It launches players into a battle, shows them how to make a fitting, gives them a booster... And that's it. He is buying boosters hand over fist. I asked him, "well, you are new. Why dust?" And he said that he found the concept appealing. He is tired of fights with real guns on earth or semi real environments. He likes the fantastic nature of the Dust. So apparently that can be a factor.
