Do not count from mission rewards or AUR purchases. We should attempt to establish a rate of key drops.
In about 30-35 matches since the update I have yet to see one but that was expected. |

Like if you think CCP should add a large salvage number of keys (5-10) for winning a PC, and/or increase Pub/FW salvage rates.

If so i feel sorry for you and dont take this personal, I know CCP said they will be salvagable but we all know they aren't.
By the way very nice that you've made this thread I was curious as well to see if ANYBODY salvaged any.

PC? You mean that one game mode only available to around 10% of the playerbase? Yeeeaaahhhh, no.
I agree with the pub increase and disagree with the FW salvage, I'll get to why at another time. Possibly during the next title update or whatever they're called. |

Reminds me of EA. In NHL this year they advertised a promo pack of cards with a chance of pulling (forgot which player), turned the ad on but didn't actually release the card at all lol. People still invest hundreds even thousands on the game though.

Anyway I spent 600 AUR on a key and got 9 flying scotsman cal assaults (fitted suit, can't use it coz need skills lol). They sell for ~11K ISK each.
Doubt I'll buy any more - rather have the ISK

There are definitely keys in the salvage. If everyone was getting officers in the Strongboxes, everytime, I believe there would be much rage. Keep earning and using those free keys, and you will see that there are great drops in there, and at least ine ultra rare item that is not in EOM salvage.

So out of everyone who's posted in this topic, only ONE key has been gotten from the eom screen? These boxes are becoming more and more the worst thing about the update. I play for about 8 hours a time when I can. Still not a single key from eom, or a box for that matter, just the same stupid adv gear I'll never use. |

Nobody I know earnt keys through salvages.
A friend got a daily mission that asked him to pay for 2 instant boosters in order to have 1 key! Nice Daily Missions!

Im gonna make some wild guesses here.
1. Strongboxes are for selling AUR. (not much guessing on that one)
2. Daily missions are meant to reward people who actually play as oppose to AFK.
3. Daily missions are an excellent way to train new players in the game a little bit.
Assuming these are correct guesses on some of the intended goals would it not be better to drop the "random" salvage aspect and either base it on a ratio or participation (matches / wins /kills / warpoints) or just drop it from the idea of salvage completely and improve that system while giving out more keys in missions and maybe even as a daily login bonus.
FEEDBACK
Aside from the key drops we are discussing here I really enjoy the overall system. Missions give you something to think about in matches aside from the repetitive nature of run, shoot, and hack. They are a nice distraction and I am sure they will help with NPE quite a bit. |

Yes. If officer gear was common from boxes, that would be a serious, game-breaking issue.

I don't see why everyone is complaining. The strong boxes seem to have a bout a 10-20% officer drop rate, which i FAR better than in match (especially since you can get 4 per box). 200 aur per officer weapon is a win in my books. What is that, 10 cents? |
