Is it just me or is there a ton of ads in every match and that they have the ability to ohk again? Have you guys seen the planed missile turret changes? With the planned changes to you think that they should buff AV? What do you guys think the balance will look like DS=DS>>>>Tank=Tank>infantry>AV>DS
I personally dread the thought of a few pilots being able to completely control the field because AV is still so ineffective that we already see it.

I routinely scare off ADS pilots with my standard swarm launcher on an Amarr assault fitting (one light weapon damage mod). I rarely land a killshot, but that isn't the point, I'm just trying to get them off my ass for a minute.
I shudder to think how things would pan out for the pilot if I was a Minmatar commando with proto swarms.
Where are these planned missile turret changes?

AV is in a good position vs vehicles at the moment. Quit expecting to OHK an ADS and tank with a militia swarm. |

I can't remember what the thread name was, but they will divide the missile turrets into AV and AI. AI increased radius possible range decrease and AV high damage reduced range. I can't really remember, but I think the damages were 300-400 for AI and 500 for AV, but I could be wrong. They also mentioned a change to the rof bonus I think it was restoring it?. I will look for it and replace this when I find it.

Haven't heard of any turret changes and AV is fine now.
I got a respec on an alt. and went full ADS to see how the other half lives. ADS deaths might rise enough to get them a buff as a result.
Because, that's why.

AV should be capable of butt humping ADS.. ADS should be a nice hard counter for HAV ADS needs its damage per level changing to be vs vehicle only and slightly higher.. 5% instead of 3%.. lower splash but keep splash on missiles. gallente ADS bonus needs a % resist to heat to make useing a blaster as the main gun more viable for air vs air and air vs ground at close range as it is too prone to overheating. as for HAV VS AV it is getting there.. tho the anti shield AV weapony (PLC) is lacking compaired to anti armor weaponry (swarm) but it could be like.. PLC+packed AV nades.. or Flux+swarm for "balanced" anti vehicle where as PLC+flux dosnt work that well compared to swarm+packed AV for anti armor.. tho swarm+av means they dont do too much against shield tanked HAVs its all about the fit i guess. id also like to see HAVs buffed against anti personel in the form of allowing us to put a small turret on the large hardpoint so we can roll around with 3x small turrets.. drawback is small sucks vs other tanks where as its better vs inf.
10 second down time? Tell me where I can get 80% resists to explosives with a 10 second down time. To even approach that level of resist, you need at least 1 prototype hardener, if not 2. And even with 2, it's going to be tough to get that kind of Down time. Also, if your running 2 prototype hardeners, your ADS is probably going to be very expensive, so you should be able to survive a match or 2 without losing a Dropship.

While I'm not a huge fan of vehicles, I firmly believe if you have 20mil SP spent on ADS or Tanks, you should be just as capable on the battlefield as a Infantry guy with 20mil sp. Whatever needs to be done to make this happen, needs to be done. |

Za'ki doesn't quite understand vehicles and very often lists things off that are blatantly untrue. And lol @ dual swarms being the only effective AV. Forges are so good, we just rarely complain about them because they actually take skill to use

They really ruined fit diversity for vehicles when they removed the skills that gives you extra PG and CPU (at least, I think that used to be a skill)

No, I haven't seen the proposed missile changes. As it stands however, no I don't think there should be a buff to AV as a whole, just to certain variants that are underperforming (NFG, SSL, ASL, SAG, etc).

Atiim 8D I loose to them all the time. I can't get 4 shots out fast enough to stop them from ohking me.. and they are probably not over powered, but I believe av is up. At the very least swarms could use a little more force (knock back) to give some room for a second lock and to prevent people from running directly into avers. I mean with a FG you can direct the shot to direct the ds away or into a building, but It isn't only ads, have you tried to take down a well fit tank lately it is pointless.

You've been living under a rock, patrick.
Vehicles have been used to farm WP, because AV is far stronger than them.
Only those that really skilled into the vehicle tree survive.
Same case for ADS.
Gets 1-2 hit by missile turrets from tanks, and rail gun turrets Rendering issues with forgegun projectiles, and missiles from swarms make them invisible, causing ADS pilots to be shot at random by invisible shots.
Players that rooftopcamp will immediately bring out AV to make a battle one sided, and if you take out your ADS to stop them, another will take their ADS, sneak up on you, and kill you.
Same for tanks. It's sad to know that a particle cannon equipped tank can just go up and easily shoot the ass off your tank without you knowing.... In CQC, even if you're trying to do something GOOD.
Months of AV and scout abuse, still nothing being done about it.

More knockback? Are you crazy? Ive already been killed many times when my myron takes 1 set of swarms to the wrong area and it throws me into the ground, killing me. And thats with a Myron!

I am a pilot as much as I am an AVer or more and go through at least 1 dropship a match Uplinks/AV>Sent/Mobile Turret>Assassin=Assault.
I don't feel any knock back when I am hit by swarms a forge gun on the other hand is quite a danger.
