ok but we should also take away racial dropsuits and weapons... a game that promotes racism and different methods to kill someone is wrong. They should limit everything to one medium suit and only AR. That way everyone has an equal opportunity to kill each other.
I like scouts because they go boom in 1-2 missiles... easiest way to gain WP. I vote for them to stay

We certainly do not. Though I do with the cloak was a tactical tool rather than a means to bum rush the enemy while visually cloaked.

The problem isn't the cloak. The point of a scout is to be stealthy and sneak up on people but the problem is the range of the shotgun. Scouts should use their speed and stealth to get close and shoot u in the back but a shotgun that can basically shoot 20m defeats their role. Also ccp needs to limit the weapons scouts can use to shotguns and smgs as their primary and pistols and nk as their secondarys so scouts cant use the rr and cr and run as assaults. |

Typical pointless thread:
I don't like A therefore everyone else must agree that A should be removed from game. A happens in part because of B, therefore removing B entirely from the game will fix A.
I mean, who cares if there are better solutions than B or that complete removal of B will decrease overall balance worse than having B in game presents.
Who cares if B isn't the most significant part of the problem and that fixing C and D would go a long way towards creating better balance.
I mean, that would take some actual brain power and thought, rather than spamming ridiculous conclusions.

Do you guys not remember a time when we didn't have cloaks, Dust was a lot better game for it, I actually respected what scouts could do back then. Cloaked shotgun scouts are worse than snipers now, lowest of the low. |

Things done in the era B.R. (Before Rattati) are not to be admitted as evidence. Mistakes were made.
Getting vehicle variants back in the game is definitely on our radar as, to be real, easy content to get back. The art's in the game already, it's practically hotfixable.

Actually the decloak sound is bugged. Known issue.
And the footsteps also does not work if they are behind you.

After my respec last week I decided not to skill back into shotguns or cloaks thus my shotgunning fatties and unaware snipers has come to an end. And I feel better for it.
Anyway, I can see your point but for me it makes each battle more exciting. I'm over getting annoyed or frustrated now. Its not worth it. Plus I kill cloaked scouts in most matches haha |

Although I will go to the grave saying that they should not be combat oriented.
3 second delay before firing, 3 second delay after firing/hacking before you can recloak.
They need to be for recon and covert operations. using the best innate e-war in all three aspects to made dust easy mode for you to shotgun people in the back or worse frisbee some re's hoping your prey won't hear the sound is just cheezy.
I lament PC now more than ever..
Scouts in 1.7 needed an e-war buff
Assaults with the commando bonus to damage + current bonuses and slots (minus cal assault and perhaps gal assault) fixes the problem of slayer logi's.
Heavies were fine in 1.7
Logi's with the nerf to reps and buff to assaults would have been fine.
The e-war game was better in 1.7 aside from scout needing a better advantage.
