At any given time, maybe three to five people can even damage your ADS. Meanwhile, all 16 people on the team can kill an AV user. And you're going to cry about having to watch for threats around you?

The way you said there are 16 enemies trying to kill you, there are also 15 friendly's on your team that should be protecting you. Say I drop this cause for 2 people to use AV, in perspective the ROF's are not very good at all. The Python ROF is highly useful in killing those pesky Heavies that can now drop you before you can destroy there armor. Maybe they should have added the high ROF ($mGêå|| Missle) for all Caldari vehicles and just put the ADS effects on the other vehicles of that race (besides Onikumas, Balochs, Somas, Sicas). I may slightly agree with the ROF reduce but the Pythons climb rate seems really ****** up. It legit feels like a Gorgon. By changing the ADS they just killed it and offered us better Standard Drop ships.

Logically, to me, average for the entire game would have to be just under 1.0. Because every kill counted counts as a death somewhere, plus suicides, which don't grant anyone a kill.

No, one AV should kill one vehicle that is equipped for offense over defense. If equipped for defense, said vehicle wouldn't or shouldn't be much of a threat. This could be tweaked server side by adjusting the fitting costs of proto turrets vs. complex mods and nerfing the standard and advanced turrets relative to the proto.
Same with infantry. Defense and offense could be more contrasted.

Im not saying flying tank, all i'm saying they are hard to fly and get any kills with and now with even more area denial they are made useless at least in my hands. With the over saturation of forge guns prior to delta and now with swarms just owning all of the sky. I went from being able to survive two rounds before having my dropship blown up by being able to maneuver away from enemy fire regardless of being denied the air. It made it rewarding when you got in there and were able to take your shots and get out like a dropship should.....
right now trying to fly evasive actions the dropships handling is sooooooo bricked that it makes no sense.
All i'm saying is that considering how much time it takes to get to your dropship not being a total glass cannon and the amount of money it costs to buy one kitted out only to fly in and get taken out right away because the flight dynamic is all wonky ...... is less than fun..... and again one of the only things that made this game fun for me lately was flying a dropship and doing evasive moves and trying to get my shots off ........ |

it's not the AV that sux it's the large unmanned turret installations that decide to randomly track a dropship on top of all the player AV and when this happens all large turrets begin to track it, there's no breaking this random aggro that was supposed to be REMOVED... it's ok tho because someone showed me the new way to destroy them last night so they can shove their stupid OP large turret installations up their ass.

Stop HOVERING for long periods of time and be smart. ADSs weren't and will never be Gunships. You guys cry that you have so much skill because you have to watch out for threats.... guess what. So does everyone in Dust. It's a little thing called Situational Awareness and anyone that has played Dust for long periods of time will have developed that trait. Not just pilots.
Do strafing runs. That was CCP's intended role for the ADS
Stop crying because you can't hover over an area packed with enemies and kill them all and quickly flee at the moment of even slight counter against you. That makes you look like a scrub that was only using the ADS to farm infantry and help up your KDR.
If you needed the 50% rate of fire Python missile skill to kill infantry WITH missiles then you should stop playing all together. Small missiles on a Dropship/ADS have been an OP combo for months. But the Python was OP in terms on how fast it could let high alpha damage with little to no threat. Also if I can perform extremely good in my ADV missile Incubus that has no bonus to missils whatsoever, why do you need the 50% rate of fire bonus on your Python that has Proto missiles?
All these changes were long coming and I warned you all to minimise ADS infantry farming exploits or else the ADS would get nerfed. But all you pilots decided to still use to farm infantry. Now that the changes have come and it is a little harder for you to farm infantry and you are whining about it, either stop flying or leave the game. We don't need anymore try-hard scrubs in this game.
PS: I'm an ADS pilot. One of the very first. They were the first thing I skilled into when Uprising made it's debut because I love to be the pilot of aanything that resembles a jet. Back then, there were so few of us. Even for months ADS pilots were a rarity in games. But when there was one, you could see how skilled they were.
Then 1.7 dropped. I startred seeing more and more ADSs. 8 out of 10 matches were packing 1 or 2 ADSs. When tanks got nerfed in 1.8 and Railguns Alpha. Almost every match had an ADS farming infantry and destroying vehicles in the field with no risk to them because they needed no maneuvers to counter AV. Just hit the AB and fly high up to the ceiling and wait for health to comeback.
The ever increasing spam of ADS per match made it seem like it was starting to be a FOTM. Most of these pilots presented no skills whatsoever. Just use a Python with missils and anyone woul go up to 30-0 a match. Now that said FOTM ha been made to require skill and timing to dodge AV you guys cry? HTFU and learn how to dodge AV instead of spaming the AB and heading towards the ceilingor redline.

I try to use both Python and Incubus to get both sides of the story. Although, now with the Python being the acceleration mobile and the Incubus being the speed mobile the Python isn't living up to its name. Its terrible at acceleration right now and that destroys the fair bond between the Incubus and the Python. Also, vehicles have to deal with Gorgon Ramming and Jihad Jeeps. They have to deal with Installations and other things. I do realize what AV deals with but that cannot be ignored. Although one thing I do see trending is CCP taking the general ideas. As in if there was 4 Logi's in the game being destroyed by all other things and the Logi's complained "OP" CCP would listen to everyone else since the other L's have a lot more numbers. Look at the "Light Attack Vehicle" (LAV). The LAV has turned into a joyride jeep and why is that? Because there is no-one (probably) besides me that actually uses it as an attack vehicle.

Infantry has to deal with scouts, heavies, assaults, installations, tanks, LAVs, Dropships, Assault Dropships, Remote explosives,CLOAKED enemies.
Infantry runs higher risks. Especially AV. Swarms are AV only. No chance whatsoever against infantry, so it's only normal for them to be the best at AV.
Forge Guns at least have a chance against infantry. But now that splash is gone in all FGs except Assault ones,Assault FGs are now the to-go AV weapon for heavy AV.
And respect to you man! I stopped using blasters in my Incubus ever since I returned in 1.7 (I was out between 1.5-1.6 do to TV breaking down) and they were much crap than ever before.

That's not to say that I don't agree with what Soraya is saying right now; as a seasoned Logi and beginner pilot, I'm leaning toward what Soraya is saying a bit.
I just wish Judge's ISP would hurry the f*ck up and fix his connection.

You forget that many players can just train up their AV and then spam it at will. We're dealing with the difference between a player who wants to play a role and power players that just go pull out whatever to get a kill. This game has been ruined by that.
Force infantry to stick to the AV role in a match then we'll talk. I'll say again, the answer is to have greater contrast between offense and defense. If you equip for defense then you won't be so good at offense but will be able to take the hits. If you go offense then one AV equals one vehicle.
It is wrong to make AV so powerful when one can simply skill it up as a FOTM, reequip at a depot or on respawn then go right back to being non-AV. In the meantime I am still trying to run a dropship.

That's a null point, as he's referring to the Swarm Launcher, not a Secondary Weapon. Let's see, AV and Flux Grenades. Swarm Launcher/ Forge Gun, Proficiency & Ammo. ADS on the other hand buy #3 Standard Drop ships. #3 ADS (as AV would go for 5 so do Pilots), #5 Python and Incubus. Armor and Shields up to 5. Optimization and other boosts. Without finishing all the Armor & Shield skills we have to buy, let's move onto turrets. #5 Missle, Blaster, Rail. Reload for Missles. Proficiency 3 (likely 5) for gunners. I think I've gotten the idea of who spends more SP but who knows? I may be wrong.
Edit: AV may also use Proto Nano's.

Also, the lv3 Swarm does well enough. Checking I looked at almost all my accounts and all odf them have at least lv3 Swarms. Now that hardly takes anything. You don't have to be devoted in order to buy an Advanced swarm and effortlessly drop an ADS where the Pilot has to be devoted to throwing piles of SP down.

Yes but see the Dropsuit can be used for anything else. There is no designated AV suit. So that really doesn't count as part of AV. I've seen Proto Swarms on Basic suits.

Again, how are you going to use your Swarm Launcher without a Dropsuit? And most importantly, how are you going to get 3 hits off when each of your locks take 1.2s?
Now that I think of it, how are you even investing into Swarm Launchers when you don't have Weaponry II and Light Weaponry IV?
