You may actually be able to hear the sniper firing from the map screen. This works in other very high altitude areas too, as long as you can get the map camera close enough. The MCC has a large, invisible hitbox that extends past the model which makes sniping confusing, even for the player abusing the MCC. The MCC sniper himself must be standing on the edge of the hitbox to be able to shoot over it. You may need to move to a higher position or further away from the MCC to get the correct angle, don't try to shoot until the target info is displaying the stats of a dropsuit. On some maps you can get close enough to snipe them with a forge gun, which will instantly end the life of a brick tanked sniper and terminate his clone. Otherwise use a tactical sniper rifle. The tactical sniper rifle is the ultimate counter-sniper, virtually guaranteed to land two headshots before the target can even react, giving it higher realistic damage over even a charge sniper rifle. Don't have forge guns or sniper skills, or you tried and tried and hit nothing but the MCC? Buzz the enemy MCC with a militia dropship. You don't even have to land on it, get close enough where they can hear the engines and most will freak out and jump, at which point you can just fly away. You'll have wasted a couple minutes of their sniping time and some of their isk to get up there again (dropships explode on contact with the MCC, even when trying to gently land on it), and he'll spend the rest of the match worried about you trying again, lowering his efficiency. Practice flying with the dropship enough and you can push them off the MCC yourself or even slam it down on top of him for a roadkill. If you want to get out to kill him, you'll want to use something that can quickly kill him in one shot, like a plasma cannon, because he will be standing right on the edge in a brick tanked suit ready to jump at the first sign of danger.

I use to have it done to me , so why not return the favor ? I have never MCC snipe before .. I think that's cheep and tasteless but that's just me and I haven't used a heavy suit to snipe since I have increased my core . I had prototype sniper rifles way back when and had no points in my core and that's why I did it then but haven't done it since . Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .

I normally have a good shot on anyone that sits on the MCC. This guy was cheating,

So to lump you all together is only fair. 90% of dust players abuse one mechinic or another, thus makes 90% of you cheaters. Shotguns don't have to be aimed at you to hit you, people refuse to take any damage( lag or no lag), everyone cheats.

You're going to get sniped. Get over it. No amount of fussing will change that. Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.

The first one usually explodes but the second link almost always stayed. I no longer mcc snipe anymore after I realized how frowned upon it was when people sent me hate mail all the time but it was only a militia sniper rifle so the people who died deserved to for having a crap suit lol

Anyhow TechMech Meds has a point considering the fact that you ONLY do ANY good when the long time players and corps squads all lay down for the day/night and leave the newbies and players like you on the server to try and further themselves or likewise, you in this case (unless you have less than 7mill SP), try to act like you good to the newbs and turn to as soon as anyone with a decent standing in this game decides to keep on playing even when most of their buddies are off. As stated if you have more than 7 million SP then to ME you should have a decent amount of skills or points into a skill to make you at least survive for a few hundred wp's unless skilled very poorly. But!!! As stated you have points into the RR so you shouldn't have any **** problems whatsoever while adding on the fact that there is a militia for every starter suit, most weapons, AND mods!!! If there is a glitch/exploitation, then you are right. He should be punished and I would classify that as cheating. I couldn't get my hits to register for the first 10 shots. Then I finally moved to a position where the hit registered and I squezed off three quick shots. He then OHK me. I could have gone back and risked a Thale's myself but why would I? Curious to what map I was on when you couldn't hit me. No hvy suits. I find hvy/com snipers to be bitches. No skill so armor is a must. The pics clearly show a cheater spot, you can shoot out but take nothing. It is an exploit, there in cheating. Scouts cheat with no hit box and a BS shotgun that can hit you when they aren't even looking at you. Other cheat by not showing up on the screen until they shoot me. You ***** magically can be anywhere on the map at any time. (to other snipers, take another look and try to picture shooting the op.) you really should not be talking about skill, i seriously doubt you even understand the word.. you certainly don't have any of it. you can't see any of the battle going on and so are useless to your team. you clearly don't know how to fly a dropship btw, yes you were landing too hard .. you can be now, but you probably take that to mean that the red mcc is cheating when you crashed! you think that scouts, shotguns, (i'm guessing) remotes, heavies, ads, and i'll assume there's more, are cheating. so i guess that means you can't kill any of the above?! you probably spent your entire round trying to kill a single sniper on the red team and didn't even think to try another position! you don't understand the basic principles of positioning to be effective, you are not going to cope with positioning in dust where even slight edges can stop you shooting you probably even think that going 15-0 in a pub with a thales is a good score i'd tell you my record with a charge rifle but i don't want to make you cry. i'll settle for telling you that i have sat at a ground level objective sniping outwards and gone 16-0 with an tactical for laughs, and guess what.. the enemy mcc sniper did not live through the round god only knows what you'll make of the poor hit detection... oh i guess i do know.. HE'S CHEATING!!! try to learn some skill and technique before crying on the forums. and before you go i'll give you two last bits of advice.. 1.don't go try the sentinel sniper route, you'll have no ammo, move very slow, be left with your side arm for protection, and as of delta still get killed by other snipers (in charlie it'll by the ones who know what they are doing) 2.if you see me in battle.. i'd advise you to stay out of sight.

And got killed by the null cannon 3 times, and managed to kill a grand total of 0 people. I decided I must be in the wrong spot, so tried on another map, and an enemy dropship pilot landed on my MCC, his falling dropship blew up and killed me, and then he died himself from being over the redline too long. From this, I've basically concluded that if someone can get in the right position on the MCC and not be killed by the null cannon, then it's perfectly OK by me. (I may or may not have died a further 10 or so times while attempting to teach myself how to fly the dropship in the first place... so anyone who can get ANYWHERE in one of those has my utmost respect) One of the things that the friend who introduced me to Dust used as a selling point was that CCP encourages you to exploit any glitches you can find to your own advantage. I was told that they actively encourage it. I kinda like the fact that they do, 'cause it makes it different to other games. Sure, it's annoying when it gives someone else an advantage, but eventually there will be a glitch you can use to kill them more easily :)
