Advice for those of you reading wondering what you can actually do in the meantime:

If you're getting killed by a sniper and cant tell where its coming from, try zooming in to the enemy MCC on the spawn screen and listen closely. You may actually be able to hear the sniper firing from the map screen. This works in other very high altitude areas too, as long as you can get the map camera close enough.

The MCC has a large, invisible hitbox that extends past the model which makes sniping confusing, even for the player abusing the MCC. The MCC sniper himself must be standing on the edge of the hitbox to be able to shoot over it. You may need to move to a higher position or further away from the MCC to get the correct angle, don't try to shoot until the target info is displaying the stats of a dropsuit. On some maps you can get close enough to snipe them with a forge gun, which will instantly end the life of a brick tanked sniper and terminate his clone. Otherwise use a tactical sniper rifle. The tactical sniper rifle is the ultimate counter-sniper, virtually guaranteed to land two headshots before the target can even react, giving it higher realistic damage over even a charge sniper rifle.

Don't have forge guns or sniper skills, or you tried and tried and hit nothing but the MCC? Buzz the enemy MCC with a militia dropship. You don't even have to land on it, get close enough where they can hear the engines and most will freak out and jump, at which point you can just fly away. You'll have wasted a couple minutes of their sniping time and some of their isk to get up there again (dropships explode on contact with the MCC, even when trying to gently land on it), and he'll spend the rest of the match worried about you trying again, lowering his efficiency.

Practice flying with the dropship enough and you can push them off the MCC yourself or even slam it down on top of him for a roadkill. If you want to get out to kill him, you'll want to use something that can quickly kill him in one shot, like a plasma cannon, because he will be standing right on the edge in a brick tanked suit ready to jump at the first sign of danger.

This sniper is just smart AND stupid, at the same time.

*fails to get counter-snipe due to bad positioning and glitchy MCC collision detection*
"H-He's cheating! He's exploiting! He should be banned! How dare he position himself advantageously so that I can't hit him!"

Interestingly enough, in one of your screenshots it clearly shows that you have a clear line of fire, and in the others the sniper rifle is clearly telling you that you are going to hit the MCC (bottom right corner...).
So is the sniper cheating? Or are you just ignorant, and not paying attention to the target data?

Even if you did hit him, you'd have over 1400 HP to chew through. The guy is running a Sentinel. That also means, he likely has no equipment or support, on the MCC with him.

Why the hell were you so fixated on this noob? He probably would have run out of ammo in a minute or two anyway.

Here's an idea take yo lazy butt with a DS or ADS and shoot that guy. Also you can't put Links on the MCC only hives

Not trying to be a smart ass, but are you sure you were hitting him? Like I said, there was someone doing the exact same thing earlier today and I sniped his ass right off the MCC without issue. If there is a glitch/exploitation, then you are right. He should be punished and I would classify that as cheating. I'm just asking because I came across the same issue and I WAS able to hit the guy perched on top of the MCC.

I sniped someone off the top of the MCC today who was sitting up there like an idiot. You can still shoot them even if they are on top. Is it douchebaggery to do this? yes. Should it be eliminated? Absolutely. But I don't necessarily know if I would call it cheating. You had a sniper out, why didn't you just pick him off his pretty little perch?

It is cheating yes, but you.don't see it from his point of view. He has no gun game, so avoids confrontations, he obviously has some sort of inferiority complex that he needs a good KD/R on a free to play game to validate his existence in the real world and to top it of he has no imagination, camping on the MCC?
