Take the installatons out of the redline. Now that you buffed the sh*t out of installations, please take them out of a place that encourages camping. They are hard as sh*t to kill. Please oh please remove them from the redline. Redline railgun is just the worst.

Turrets should be on the field.... not for campers to camp from redline.. We have Sentinels + Thales scrubs for that... |

If your ADS is being shot down by automated turrets your too close to the redline. If your ADS is being shot down by manned turrets your too close to the redline.
The question is why are you less than 250m from their redline?

I have had no problems with the new installation turrets that a little bit of cover, and a full stock of swarm ammo can't handle. |

Look at the bridge map, those installations on the hill will reach an ads no matter what at least move them a little further in the map. So they can at least be assaulted. |

Kill the operator, he is kinda stationery. An automated turret is no threat, a manned turret is a free kill.
If anything I'd say that redline turrets should be made invincible altogether.
Until we can call in our own installatons, removing turrets from the redline is just going to end up, with vehicles running rampant in our redlines.
Prehaps the problem with the Manus Peak is not the location of the installations but with position of both teams redlines and the posistion of the console, it's one of the worse domination maps, period.
The NULL cannon should be in the middle of the 2 sockets, with the redlines much futher back.

Well to be fair, you can't readily kill an operator who is using a turret in the redline.
I think installations in the redline are a good countermeasure to keep enemies away from the redline. I think the issue here is more so that the exact placement of said installations are problematic in same cases. So we should look more at where in the redline they should be placed, and not so much getting rid of them completely. |

I'll agree to that, I like these turret buffs, both as Infantry, AV and a Pilot, it be a shame if it was all undone because a few dropship pilots are bitter they can't kill people in the redlines.

1. Make the red line an invisible wall to the enemy team that they cannot pass through or fire through. 2. Make the red line impossible to fire through for its own team. 3. Take out the maps where the red line is right next to the objective or move the objectives that are too close further from the red line. 4. ?????? 5. Profit!

But what about if they are popping in and out of their red line firing at the players! This is the reason for step 3.
But how will we keep them contained in their red line? You won't that's part of the problem. If you need to trap the enemy team in their spawn in order to win you don't deserve to win.
As to how you would rationalize this for lore purposes. The MCC emits a force field there you go. |

Judge, the "Dont fly what you cant afford to lose" mantra is as old as EVE.
That being said, I dislike the redline cannons now as well because of the HP buff, but I actually don't know if I consider your description of the Manus Peak railgun. It's withing the 200M range so it should be a viable weapon, just like a forge gun can shoot it back. Only now, that forge gun can't just stand in the open and plink away.

They really should be required to reload. A turret is a turret, regardless if its sitting on an HAV or a installation platform. |
