I've mained Amarr Assault since Uprising and used the Laser in Chromo.
Aero did as well.
Maikyl is older than both of us and has been using the Laser since his toon was born.
T12 does the same, Arrach does the same, Malleus is an Amarr alt, he does this, Aisha used Lasers, Humble Seeker uses lasers.
You never said primary weapon, only that players laid it to rest. I never did and its been in my rotation since Chromo, alongside tanks since Uprising 1.2.
I don't play pubs, I don't play PC, only FW and only for Amarr.

i dont play fw..it has extremely long que times that i dont have the patience for and no incentive for me at least to play ..i do like pc.. |

tbh i have rage issue when i squad with people its well known..i believe teamwork is op and i have a hard time running with people that i do not work well with as a team or do not work well with me as a team.
i also have a hard time maintaining a solo mindset when running with people..as a major logi junky aver and tanker...supporting my team is like second nature to me..
ive for the most part given up on finding this kind of teamwork..and run solo now..its allot more fun..
although recently i have found a small group of people i like squadding with a majority of if not all the time. and my losses do not increase to a point that i cannot accept..at least not yet.
but dont worry for this event ill be running alone..and i really hope we bump into each other so i can change your mind about me..i do not run away.
sometimes i give up on my team.
on cqc maps of course youll see me with my sentinel..or my logi they are both suited |

Lasers are way to situational and compared to Rail Rifle not really a choice. The laser rifle looses damage at close range while the rail rifle still deals full damage up close. So why should i use a weapon which has a huge disadvantage? Its not just that if you dont run a amarr assault the gun barely works properly. So you have to overspecialise to make it actually worthwhile using. While on the other hand i could just grab any other suit, put a rail rifle on it and be effective even with very little SP. Oh and armor tanking is very popular which makes the gun even less effective. |

It's not even about RP.
I just like having a sense purpose.... PC doesn't do that. It's just pointless organised battles.
If we could organise Timers for fights in FW I'd be much more happy since I am typically complaining in squad chat about how we only get a real fight every so often....
I'm just happy the corporation I am in acts with a set goal, acts professionally in the pursuit of those goals, and is not just and average "clan" of gamers.
Also how is PIE Inc supposed to base out of Minmatar space...... it would be a bloody disgrace to do so.... and I don't think I'd even leave PIE Inc even if Viktor "Richpants" Hadah Jr hisself offered me a billion ISK to do so.

Why are you getting in range..... I don't think you understand the premise of Amarrian warfare.

the fact that the caldari rr is still a nub crutch doesnt mean the lr isnt worth running yes it takes more skill because its not broken
rr is boring and easy to use and i feel in need of another nerf just by what you just said...but then i never seem to have a hard time slaughtering rr users..with my amar style...so ...i dunno.
lr is way more fun to use ..i dont see how people like you can enjoy stomping with such and easy weapon..havnt you gotten bored yet? ..i couldnt even take the time to spec into it because it was so boring lol |

I can definitely get behind this. The Amarr Assault is truly the best designed Weapons System in Dust, the ScR as well as LR are augmented so exponentially on this suit its a thing of beauty. I always shake my head when I see other Amarr Assaults with RRs or CRs, it's absolutely stupid to not fit a ScR or LR on it.
If all the other suits were designed this way we would have such a diverse battlefield, or maybe just everyone in the same suit with the CR cause it's the only weapon ever used in PC ever. Heck I use it.

maybe..everyone would be in the same suit..but i feel like this is how ccp should go about bringing balance to the rifles and bringing purpose to the assaults...the scr and lr clearly shine and perform above and beyond when coupled with the amar assault..
i feel like if they tryed to..make the other assault have a similar effect when coupled with they're racial rifles..they could easier bring balance.
right now we have one assault thats a specialization suit..
amar armor and lasers
then we have these general assault suits..that while they are better than the basic racial frames...they might as well be basic..they do not enhance the assault aspect
general assaults
and we have an amor assault suit..in the galente
the shield in the caldari and the speed in the minnie
now if they made them all specialization suits...suits like logi and scouts and heavies would have a clear disadvantage when running rifles...
right now anysuit using a scr and lr not ona amar assault..is at a clear disadvantage when facing the amar assault..with the ONLY exception being amar commando..and then they both just work better differently
i want the same to be said for the other rifle variants..
i think ccp should figure out where they want the rr and cr/...and then they should nerf them beyond that point and give they're racial suits..bonus's that bring them back up to where they want them to be. ..this also will put the other racial types in the same place vs they're assault version as the amar. in the sense that no suit will be as baddass witha rifle as the assault AS IT SHOULD BE.
the ar should shine above and beyond on the gal assault and gal commando
the scr and lr should and do shine on the amar variants
the rr ?anysuit doesnt matter
the cr? anysuit doesnt matter
sure you will still be able to kill with rr and cr..but it will be like when my logi uses the lr vs my assault...a few deaths vs's a slaying stream..(assault)
all ccp needs to do to fix the assaults is model them after the amarrians. our empress in all her glory may she live forever foresaw that without a bonus directly effecting the performance of the racial weapon..being applied to our assaults..they would become obsolete.
none of the assault variants feel like pure slaying fits meant for killing not like the amar scr or amar lr assaults.

I usually do but it seems i cannot make the final adjustments but thats most likely just me ive ran all minmatar for a long time so switching from an all out aggressive playstyle to a more passive doesnt seem to be working for me you usually find lasers on top of a hill melting people you usually see me running up the side of the hill to flank. Different strokes for different folks
