the laser rifle

i barely ever see it..on the field unless its in my hands and whenever i stomp with it( pretty much everytime i use it) people are just flabergasted and amazed.

i get messages like

hacker laser beam insta kill cheater

i have yet t see my favorite rifle making a comeback even though i have been spamming it relentlessly for the past month.

i never see anyone stomping with it but me.

personally i feel the weapon is a bit op..i can death touch a fully brick tanked amar heavy at 33 m

so anyways thoughts..is the majority opinion in the community that the laser rifle is up...has this event changed how people see my death beam?

is it being used more are people catching on the lr is a very VERY valid weapon again yet?

When I roll infantry its certainly a core piece of my arsenal and always has been, especially now I'm a protoed out Commando. It's certainly a hall mark of playstyle that I am regularly considering as I fight. I do so love to melt people with beams of light.

And when I get and Tank with a Massive Beam Laser I imagine I probably won't go back to the hand held variant.

Im not a vehicle lover at all, people know this, but man im up for Massive Beam Lasers Roasting stuff 400mts + away XD

However, I use the LR for funsies, I'm not remotely good with it but it IS hilarious to watch ppl panic as you catch them in the side of the head and they are almost instantly at half armor. I only have the basic LR, and no Amarr suiting, so I feel as if I am denying the gun its just desserts by tossing it on Gal or Cal gear, but it is fun nonetheless. I may even use it on my vehicle alt who I am skilling into Amarr assault when I come home from vacation to give him a bit of variety apart from Scr.


And yes, it is a very underused also unappreciated weapon in 514. Even having a competent L Rifleman in your squad adds a layer of suppression and flanking that you cant get otherwise, even if said rifleman isn't a brawling slayer.


I prefer the Mass driver.

Most under appreciated weapon in dust is the Dropship road kill. I haven't seen people attempting to squish people since Chrome.
