Who's to say there won't be a similar event for secondary weapons? It's better this way, as it encourages a finite player base to focus on a smaller number of weapons. If/when the challenge is rewritten for secondary weapons, the same principle applies.

I might actually log on and attempt a no life on one of these weekends, it's actually gotten me really interested.
Taking a popular community game (naming officer weapons after players) and making it an actual event... That's great.
Well done.
I'd like to ask for a of clarification though - I'm pretty sure I've understood correctly but before I attempt to clear a weekend I'd like to check if I'm right.
On each weekend, you have a chance to get lots of kills with one of these types of weapons.
The highest score of any of these weekends is what is counted for you.
The person with the highest score will have the opportunity to name that officer variant.
Is that correct?

I was gonna go for the Plasma Cannon...but Ghazbaran deserves the PLC way more than I do (even though I still REALLY want an officer Plasma Cannon)
Scrambler/Laser sounded fun at first...but we all know those Amarr guys will wipe the floor with me when it comes to that weapon.
And for anyone trying to get the shotgun...I'm sorry, but Frost Kitty is going to beat you. Just don't even try.

It means that each score will only count for that character.
All characters on the account can compete - the tallies just won't stack.

Do vehicle kills count towards the total kill count for the AV weapons? Because just about everyone bails before their ride blows these days and that means I'm getting SMG kills instead of swarm kills....

Especially because the entry requirement is proto guns. So you have to have a certain level of no-life to even be capable of participating.

I was about to agree with this, but then I remembered something... Laser rifles are't FoTM, nor are Plasma Cannons, Forge Guns, Mass Drivers, Sniper Rifles, or Swarm Launchers. Oh, they'll likely get the Combat Rifle and Rail Rifles, maybe even the Scrambler Rifles and HMG's, but the rest of those will likely go to the dedicated who have been using them for a long time.
Nova Knives are best sidearm.

I think its probably too late to ask for this.But could we get bonus SP for every kill of a merc that uses one of those listed weapons?Of course,we have to kill that merc with a lover tier weapon.I never use proto weapons in public matches and kills in FW doesn't count in this event.So give me at least something to do through these weekends.

Correct. The highest score on a single weekend wins. This does mean you can win for multiple weapons (heck, you can even win more than one weapon in a single weekend).

Second one. Each character is counted individually, but every character on an account is eligible.
