Fair call but how does KDR make you any more suited for a role I chose to give you? I don't care whether you mercenaries go positive, as long as you can do the job. Too many variables contribute to KDR for it to be a valuable statistic.
For example I've squadded with PC players, with high KDR, in FW contracts and they have been disrespectful and arrogant, they were kicked for not following squad orders, and generally destabilising the squad and sync as a whole, and we'd still win without them.
I can't say anyone in our squads had much higher than a 2.75 and it never mattered.

However, recorded stats are unreliable. Players who primarily go solo (yours truly) will almost always have worse stats than people who run squads all the time. Other players use some under-powered weapons for sport, or in preparation for them getting over-buffed (also yours truly). Other players also put winning over WP, by doing necessary but low-wp roles (not me, **** my teammates) Agreed, I run solo, no corp, no squad, and dont proto in pubs, so do I occasionly get gunned down when say RND is protostomping pubs? Yes, but then one day I killed their whole squad too...... lol....is this your main acct? The one in which you killed an entire squad of RND? Nope but my main is banned. But you were one of em, Alpha CRU on Line Harvest, killed you ,Anno, Sticky, Roeg, and one more with a RR from the ledge beneath the tower, any other questions turd? What is your main acct? I can sit here and type how I held all 5 objectives by myself against 2 squads all day as well. I'd like to ask though...if KDR means nothing, would you believe a guy's claim (with a 0.5 KDR) to be better than a player with a 5 KDR?

EZ Cheap mode? Like running a whole squad of proto in pubs? Or how about joining DNS.and you all blueing up so you dont have to fight? Is that ez cheap mode?
First off, forget about the "running proto" side off things, my main doesn't have a single fitting that isn't proto, we use the stuff we have unlocked, we have more isk than we can possibly spend and this is without ever having a single district for more than a week.
And in case you numnuts haven't gotten it yet, the whole point of DNS was to force CCP to get rid of passive isk generation from holding districts, did we manage to do that? Yes we did. (And yes, we still have DNS tags due to some technical problems...)
Its like talking to children, you have to speak at a lower level....
"Cheap EZ-mode" is when someone jumps out of a LAV with a HMG fatty, kills whoever is there and speeds off again as soon as someone fires at him. Its when Taka and his girlfriend stays on or close to the redline the entire game in their tanks not caring the slightest if they win or lose. Its all those morons who spend most of their games sitting on top of a rooftop. Its all the bastards in the redline with a sniper. In short, anyone who cares more for boosting their stats than actually getting in there and flipping those objectives.... |

Got to agree it looks kinda stupid if you state what equipment you use. Using proto gear is not a privilage in PC matches it is a basic requirement. Whats more usefull to know is what playstyle you are going to use like for example this:
-heavy as point defence and av (lets be honest a heavy that has no forgegun is not a heavy) -logi as support (support= uplinks, nanohives, reps and scans). -scout as ninja hacker/assault -ADS pilot with focus on AV (incubus with small rails for example)
It does not matter if you use a AR,RR or CR as long you get stuff done with it and militia drop uplinks with a 15 sec spawn timer are not a good thing to have. |

you say, "if that 5.0 lets his heavy die". As an assault/slayer, you're not supposed to babysit heavies and make sure you die before they do. You're supposed to kill......so for that role, a 0.5 KD player shouldn't even speak.

Since you aren't invested in FW Dust and EVE side you do not see or even have an idea of how Dust can and does affect FW as a whole.
Since I've seen systems go into Vulnerable and drop out of vulnerable because Dust players took back system districts making it easier to deplex the system.
I've seen the differences how easy it is to defend and attack systems where we own the ground zones. In fact was a part of the Reclaiming Fleet that went through and captured 8 systems on the very same day Amarr took domination of the warzone.
That is important than owning land, but no space in some backwater like Molden Heath. Dust players never owned Molden Heath, the corps that inhabited the space always did.

Anyone can be a perifferee hero in this game. Its just laughable seing a lot of players playing defensively with what I call "cheap EZ-mode tactics" and still they think they're good for having a 2.2 KDR in the worlds least competative FPS.... Yes we did. (And yes, we still have DNS tags due to some technical problems...) Its like talking to children, you have to speak at a lower level.... Yes Im an idiot, which is why DNS Black was on pod cast he said the point of DNS.was to take over Molden Heath and then create a tournament system that dns would then administrate, furthermore the gamimg company that agreed to manage this system subsequently backed out on DNS during this same pod cast once she found out the true nature of how dns would gain control. 2 weeks later dns dissolved. Perhaps you need to find out what you are truly part of, with all the ulterior motives, hidden agendas and ultimate goals rather than simply being a talking head in grouo of people you dont really know. Let me know if you would like that pod cast link.

He's not making them rules. It's advice if you actually want to get hired to play PC. Don't waste the recruiter or FCs time.
The Amarr scout bonus is like the old Amarr sentinel bonus. No one needed 25% reduction to overheat damage on a heavy;_;

I miss the MAG forums QQ, too much carebear and crybaby stuff going on here. And everytime the grownups tries to have a decent conversation we have to endure these, well, scrubs. KDR is very important, but only if you play for the win and push objectives. Anyone can be a perifferee hero in this game. Do you really expect me to care that much?
We mostly did it for the ISK, and the chance to rid MH of passive isk farming, (mostly casue we didn't get it ourselves...) both objectives reached...

That's far too general a term. "Slayers kill people"- so you could be a shocktroop, a defensive area-denier, offensive area-denier, vehicle-based offensive area denier, AVer.... slayers kill people.....which is why you should specify your role over your suit. I mean, common sense dictates that if you're a heavy or an ADS or a tanker, you should specify that. But if you're a scout that kills, a logi that kills, an assault that kills then you should classify yourself as an assault/slayer An "assault slayer" could be literally anything listed, aside from vehicle-based. A "sentinel slayer" could also be anything aside from shock. So "slayer" definitely isn't specific enough. I also posted in the same post.....that "common sense dictates that if you're a heavy or an ADS or a tanker, you should specify that". Everything else is an assault/slayer role. Frames hardly spell out anything by themselves.
What a fitting is capable of is about the combination of weapons as well as dropsuit. A shotgun assault isn't capable of offensive area-denial, but they're great at defensive area-denial (given the right area), and mediocre shock. A shotgun scout, meanwhile, can pull off the shock role quite well, while doing mediocre defensive area-denial.
