This is a f#cking war game . We all want good fights , the problem is you need isk to participate in them . This is only going to p!ss people off even more and leave the smaller corps without a pot to p!ss in , thus making it pointless to even start a new corp and making an attempt at putting up a fight . The only players who may stand any chance starting fresh are those who accumulated fortunes pre And during DNS . And let's face it that's never gunna happen as everyone in this game just wants to jump on the next best thing !!!
Looking at dustcharts - in the last 48 hrs 3 small corps have already been pushed out of MH . They must of generated a maximum of about 20 million isk before they met their demise !!
So that's about another 100 players looking round at each other and thinking , is it really worth logging into this f#cking game ?
Who the f#ck wants to log in and run round like a headless chicken in pubs ? .... Oh I forgot , there's always FW ... Yeahhhh because we all need f#cking loyalty points !!!

I can confirm that ps2 is literally a jump in and shoot people randomly with no depth or organisation most of the time game. Theres no victory and no end. It has its moments but blueberries on that scale is a nightmare.
also the butthurt is so strong that its repulsive, i have been killed many times purely by 1 shot hitting an ally even though im a fking medic with my rep tool in hand to fix the 'wound'.
Yesterday i was defending a point against hordes of NC filth with my lmg. I was specifically firing down a hall to stop a horde of bastards from zerging us. Im talking half hour of sustained fire and with a medic annd engineer supporting me because it never ends in ps2.
In that time i nailed 6-8 friendlies who decided to blindly run in front of me and do you know what happened?.
My fking weapon got BLOCKED and we got buggered.
GG tards.
All you end up doing is spawn zerging outposts and objectives. The progression is long as fk so i just bought all my stuff. You either spawn zerg or counter zerg random outposts.
you can spend a good while planninng and get into a group of people who have jets, planes, transports, tanks, squad comp and the fking lot but it all boils down to zerg spamming in a shtty little room on some pointless outpost for nothing, literally nothing.
Ps2 is truly breathtaking at first but when you figure out how disgustingly simple and generic thhe gameplay is then you'll probably just yawn and regret even bothering.
And the per situation spam is ridiculous. If anyone thought 12 heavies was bad, try 50 backed by tanks and cloaked scouts which turns to around 100 heavies when the outpost gets breached and finishing with 120 Vs 120 heavies in a small outpost/room before its either taken or the attack is nullified.
Thats my experience so far on pc, should i even consider the console version?.

If your corp ran Ambush all night, 100% tax, in militia suits, you would be able to buy a clone pack at current prices. |

Oh and thats not all in ps2.
Every challenging period of fighting i have had sees the fotm type scum simply log out and switch faction on the same server for easy mode if it gets tough.
so that group of 20 guys defending with you will literally disappear when it gets tough and switch chars on the same server and be coming for you 5 mins later OR you will be part of that group and do that.
Im sure not everyone does this but after about 20 hours of play all in all and not seeing anything different on either the games different continents or other servers then one can only conclude that this is the standard template for behavior.
Its is ridiculous.

Here's something the console version will have the PC won't - US.
Imagine this:
3 Kill Em Quicks with a couple Red Stars and a few ML guys are at an outpost farming what they originally thought was a small zerg outside the gates, when they notice a small fleet paratrooping soldiers inside the base.
The group quickly takes defensive position and fights with the randoms to hold out as long as possible. KEQ, ML, and R* all calling for reinforcements.
The enemy quickly takes the outside positions as the defenders ready for corridor combat. Tanks and Air Forces smashing outside, there numbers growing.
Fighting inside starts to thin as defenders are pushed out. Suddenly, a group of KEQ fighters show up and engage enemy air forces as ML tank group clears up from behind. Red Star forces pouring in from the flanks on the enemy sides.
Fighting intensifies until enemy is pushed back to one of there own bases, where the battle continues for a while longer until the base falls.
When forces fall asleep base is retook - Until Southern Legion and Nyain San show up with WTF :3

Iv said it how it is as much as possible.
Its totally worth a go and worth keeping but it is just a very finely made and well tuned large scale sci fi cod with some extra sprinkles.
Timeless but bland.
Id give it a 6/10.

I tried PS2 and yes you have some epic fights but as the experience went on it just felt kinda "meh" to me. The real problem I have with it is that you have to choose East Coast, West Coast, etc. servers. One thing I do like about Dust is that when I'm playing Dust it's with everyone else in the world playing Dust.
Wow, this got off topic quick.

I think it's pretty relevant though. The stuff I'm proposing is much more like the no depth crap people are describing in other games. I think it's time to give up on anything more than a lobby shooter for Dust. Embrace it and develop around it.

Legion beta could be 2 to 4 years away
Because the closed bets for DUST took what? 3-5 years?
By then next gen gaming will be in full swing
And we might undoubtedly see some of the best games in gaming history to come
By time Legion beta comes out we will all probably won't even remember to be looking out for it
Because hopefully a better company will come along and look at DUST like "huh"
And try to replicate it in a MAG/DUST/PS2 type of way
Imagine a company like Naughty dog, Bethesda, or Dice
Actually sitting down with their 200 man teams and making something like that on next gen
Here's to a better future after Dust though
Hmmm. The Meta is strong with this one...

Apologies Kain I didn't notice you had written back . I think the unicorn has gone and I fully understand what you are saying now .
Nonetheless I totally agree with Thor ... These changes would of been good a year ago . They only cater for the rich elite . They are no good now . The differences in this game are huge . You are either super rich with lots of SP players or your super poor with low SP players . There is no equal medium .
The sole focus of this game at the moment should be on new players only . What will help them . None of the above will . The funny thing is I actually thought things were gunna start going somewhere with the redistribution of districts from the big guys . But like I stated the new corps are already being pushed out of the way . A little over a week ago these forums were full of cry babies bitching about everything ... Blahhhhh . We can already create a mid tier system in this game . NS started it all off when they stated they would no longer attack or ring for the smaller corps because they wanted the little guys to enjoy the game as well, but let's face it how long before the new donut ? This game isn't so much ruined by CCP as it by its player base .
Everyone who is still playing this game is still here because they are clinging onto the hope that they will see a ps4 port and we all know it . This game can make it but it won't be CCP who gets it there it will be its player base . And it's player base needs to start getting real noob friendly . Less of course everyone just wants to be a greedy pr!ck and take an even bigger dump on the game than CCP did .
Conclusion the above proposals are out of date and hold no relevancy in the game at the moment IMO .
Been wonderful chatting with you good sirs , my unicorn friend has returned . Good day to you all

A few billion ISK that you got because of your actions should help soothe some of the sting of our ingratitude, but I will personally like to thank you.
While I am at it I would also like to thank Duna, for selflessly demonstrating to CCP the problem of tank spamming in Ambush. I would also like to thank Nyain San, particularly their tankers, how relentlessly protostomping Ambush can all but destroy an entire mode. It can't be easy doing this game after game against disorgsnized new players but you valiantly make the sacrifice for the community and good of the game.
I know there are many others out there I should mention but there are so many deserving players and I would inevitably leave some out, so I will just thank everyone who has used every advantage and exploit to break this game, without you where would Dust be?
