problem with PC is that the prices differ from country to country some people say that you can build a cheap gaming pc for about $450-$500, convert that to the currency where i am and you're looking at about R4500-R5000 and with that amount of money you can't even buy a decent gaming pc, thats just enough for a office pc.

and depending on the system requirements for Legion, the price for a PC might just go up.

a decent gaming pc for us here in south africa will cost about R8000-R10 000 which is equivalent to $800-$1000.

now if i had to buy a decent gaming PC just to play Legion if its system requirements are high i might as well just buy a ps4 which is much cheaper (about R6000 = $600)

i CAN afford a gaming PC but i WONT spend such a high amount of cash just to play 1 game and surf the web when most games these days are coming to the console anyways. maybe for those who live somewhere else and pc's are cheaper then good for you.

Why are you having an argument about this on a forum where every participant has a ps3? If you can't see that common ground is the only point of you can start from. Dust514 is not a PC game your on a console game/forum. Legion is not a console game. None of this is about which is better or worse or how to build one or which cost more.

2. GPUs cot as much as consoles typically, The 9800 GT has trouble with some games that the PS3 plays, and that is 3 generations newer than the PS3. While a 7870 has about the same specs, it will not be able to keep up with a PS4, as history has shown us again and again. Next.

1. A PS3 player with an older model PS3 upgraded the HDD to a SSD with excessively fast data rates. This hard drive can run up to 100-400 usd depending on the vendor specs and size. This player experiences a massive relative boosts to loading speeds and gets on average 5-15 seconds field time over more modern models (which has a data governor of sorts purposely to try to keep it fair) or those who cannot be bothered to sink that much more money on that system and I too consider it unfair but getting Sony to put in a software limiter for the older models is rather stupid fight.

this is not even the oldest one I know of; model I worked once only had a printer output while it was in portable mode. Also most of those computers back there where highly upgradeable provided you had the right parts but those build in the standard 286 where generally not a problem. Most common request back then was replacing the 5 1/4 with the 3 1/2 drives.

You know what is awesome about having family members and upgrading computers? doing hand me downs. My computer is still in my family though in all separate parts. The parts that comprised the first computer I built by myself was sold to an old couple who only needed it for emails.

turn the graphics settings down, the only advantage in online gaming is your internet, your ping to the server relative to the person you're shooting at's ping.

well the plus side of PC is the community has more diversity and holds games to a higher standard, console players wanna try to turn everything into a COD clone.. they actually consider modern warfare 2 to be retro gaming.

1: That's the point of the system. It's not hard to buy and build a $1500 rig, it just takes a little more work, (I got mine within a week with leftover money for games, and that wasn't even out of my regular income).

You can bring your pc to your friends house. If your pc is built efficiently it should be around the same size of a console.

A good case will save hardware if dropped. Real good cases can go for about $80-$100.

I RARELY have to upgrade my computer. Oh no. my processor is a few years old time to overclock it. If I haven't already. Then there is nothing to worry about.

I swear I've never known anyone over the age of 15 to use a console. It is a kiddie machine and has been since computer games took off around 1995. I only just bought one last year for my kids and as an aside got to play this game.

This game was going to be on a PC and it was a silly idea to have ever turned to the console for a company like CCP. I hated having to even consider having to get a console to play it. If I was going to get a PS3 for this game then I was going to wait until it took off.

You can't get all those PS4 exclusives on PC either. Again, buy it all and be a real gamer.

2. Doesnt matter 9800gt is 50$ or less these days. A card that runs just about any current game coming out at console level graphics is about as much still; just pick the right vendor and chipset and have a good enough board to support it. Video Cards have the highest attrition rates and their starting prices bottom out amazingly fast. This can be blamed on production methods (they don't have to build a new factory for every new card unlike oh say a TV or console would) PS3 at launch was 500$ today an ultra slim runs you 200-300$
