Having played a bunch of both over the years, I much prefer online shooters on a PC. Not only are the inputs way better (i.e. MKB), but the quality of game and the rate of updates tend to be superior as well.

They are more expensive, though, and require more care and feeding (i.e. windows) than a console.

I've been playing Multiplayer FPS since before the internet, and I prefer my non-hackable console. My OS is optimised for gaming, and my updates seemless-and my data is automatically backed up via Plus.
SONY will even replace off warranty equipment.

1. Console Tournament Controllers would like a word with you. They're about 140 usd a pop.

Once you invested into a computer full atx case the cost of upgrades if you are trying to remain relative and able to play the latest coming out at acceptable console level graphics half as frequent and half as expensive. To continue to out play console games you would then need to update just as much at just as much.

4. I have a intel 286 in the garage, it runs a radio scanner program and dos still; however I am running out of floppy drives to do stuff with it. I also have a 368; a 486, and pentium 1, and pentium 4 operating around the house doing their own things i think my P4 is my current part tester machine. The P1 Darpa guidelines approved low level formats at low energy costs. These machines survived high heat, chills, water, light exposure, moisture, dust, multiple moves, one actually got zapped and is still operating. another blew out a capacitor and had it replaced. another one I operated on to upgrade onboard sub coproc memory to double it.

Why are you having an argument about this on a forum where every participant has a ps3? If you can't see that common ground is the only point of you can start from. Dust514 is not a PC game your on a console game/forum. Legion is not a console game. None of this is about which is better or worse or how to build one or which cost more.

The one thing we all have in common is ps3 if you want to talk about dust or it's future stay here. If you want to build a computer and name price quotes take it to the other forum along with Legion.
