Grind SP for a week & you ll have your proto weapon but not the suit. You cant see me caldari scouts ;)

I have maxed out the AR, and even max skill into it. I feel robbed because of the recent nerf to the assault weapons. I took all the time to completely max it out just for it to get nerfed and now NO one or I hardly uses it.

People want to ROLEPLAY a character. We have races we can affiliate ourselves with, and those races produce a variety of weapons and equipment. YEAH, RACIAL PARITY IS A BIG DEAL. My request for a weapon SP refund is not about mechanics, FOTM, or anything else except that PEOPLE HAVE SP INVESTED IN SOMETHING THEIR CHARACTER WOULDN'T USE. The arguments against it claim that the dropsuit SP refund was valid because we finally got racial parity. Racial parity is used as a primary reason why we got a refund on those skills. How anyone who supports that argument can be against the same reasoning for a PARTIAL refund of weapon SP (only the weapons with parity or near enough to it) is beyond me.

Well it was stupid to give us the repec for DS then. CCP did say since the new DS wasn't available to everyone at the time, that they would give us all a respec on the day of 1.8. Why couldn't they have given us a weapon respec right along with it since new weapons were being introduced?

While that mindset seems to work (who really knows as EVE player churn is not published) for EVE Online. That attitude just turns off F2P, RPG and FPS players. It would be different, even in my view, if the game was solid. That is the last word I would use to describe the current and near term condition of Dust514. The OP invested in AR because that was a good choice, then CCP/Shanghai made it a bad choice. Decisions have consequences in CCP land. But that is twisted into a hated mess when the decision's basis was repeatedly changed after the decision and by CCP/Shanghai themselves. This was not the fault of the OP or any Dust514 player. I think it is Icelandic for Hose The Funny Users, but I might be wrong about that. It does feel that way. And so it goes.

While I agree SP spent should "Mean" something it actually means very little in a competitive FPS environment where diversity and specialization is preach when one race has to gimp theirselves (save SP) while Minmatar they wait for their supplemental equipment to be released (in this case weapons). Take 2 players, each have the same amount of SP. Player A is Gallente, Player B is Minmatar. Player A would hold a distinct advantage over player B. Player A's gear has been here and he skilled into it. Player B's wasn't so he either hasn't spent his SP and been gimped the whole time, just now on a level playing field. Or he skilled into the only things available to him which doesn't help him at ALL now that there is racial parity and is currently gimped. If balance is what we all truly desire then act like it. When the time comes......

A major game changing dynamic such as racial bonus and racial weapons does. When the time comes......

How would this "break the game" by allowing Minmatar and Caladari an even playing field? That they would be able to skill into their racial weapons and have SP in their core skills such as a Gallente or Amarr? I'm not trading the AR for, "the best something else". I'm "trading" it for MY RACIAL WEAPON!!!!! Which wasn't an option for me when I skilled into the AR. No sir I do not FOTM thank you very much. I skill into MINMATAR! Which to someone as simple minded as you seems to be the FOTM bc, MY RACIAL GUN DIDN'T FREAKIN EXIST!!! When the time comes......

I saved for the longest time but the comes a point in time where you don't enjoy playing the game bc you know that little bit of extra kick for your weapon would make all the difference. Still I don't feel CCP should force players into gimping their merc while they wait. IDK in my mind it's like this, Why should I buy boosters to put myself on a level playing field while I have SP into a weapon I wanted nothing to do with in the first place. But skilled into to stay competitive while the Devs took their time releasing content that should have been in before the "official release". Yes it's a "free game", CCP wants you to spend money on boosters and AUR. I would be more willing to fork over my cash if I didn't feel like I was getting screwed from behind with no lube, sandpaper rubber and a hair dryer running. When the time comes......
