It's not even heavies, it's those god dam HMG's!! CCP buffed them and they better than they were in chromosome now. Now it's just heavy spam 514 especially in freking gallante facility. You know what else is stupid, the fact that they can sneak up on my gallante scout suit. Why does passive scanning suck so god damn much? Nerf HMG back to 2000 rof and reduce range by like 10 more percent so heavies have a reason to actually use the assault HMG. This heavy bullsh*t has gone on for too long. The extra Rof makes them OP imo (HMG). The heavies suits are fine, idc for them having rifles. At least they don't kill my scout in like .000000000000000000000001 seconds. it only takes them .0000000000000000000002. Also, wtf is up with these god dam heavies strafing like scouts? WTFFF? its so annoying trying to kill them in close range with SG especially cuz they stafe like MOFOS!
And yes Re's are good
I am a tanker (not really, i dont even use my complex tanks) , heavy, DS pilot, scout gallante and minmitar, proto amarr assault, Proto FG, Proto RR, proto CR, proto Duvolle. And I support nerfing heavies and tanks. (not really heavies, more like the HMGs)

Heavies are in a pretty good place now. Its just the large influx. Like when everyone ran Duvolles with Prof. V, "oh no, nerf them", now with the RR, CR and ScR overshadowing them, ARs are on the "buff dis s***" train.
Its a cycle, a circle, if you will. See it goes around, it doesn't have any corners........ Is a circle.

Before you go off on one about Chromosome Heavies get your data correct back then the HMG RPM was 3000 and the damage per shot was 18, 19 and 20 dmg from basic to proto respectively. Also back then we had the Sharpshooter skill so I could engage targets at 60m max range however we had less armour.
Right now if you engage a Heavy HMG outside 30m you will generally beat them with an AR type weapon, admittedly the Shotgun scout could use some work but that should be incoming shortly and don't call for a Heavy nerfGǪ.. seriously that's soooo last yearGǪ.. honestly no class has been nerfed so many times and had to be buffed back up again.

No nerf to the HMG. The range is very limited on it and the dropoff in damage is harsh. You have around the same optimal range like a SMG. Outrange the HMG and there is no problem.

You are not meant to take on HMG heavies at close range lol. You fight them outside of their own range or you sneak up and do terrible things like shotgun them or plant remote explosives all over the shop.
I'm getting tired of this communities readiness to call one thing or another OP yet not ever actually discuss balance as a whole. People conveniently forget one detail or another. Think about all angles of a weapon / roles behaviour, stop having tunnel vision on one single aspect of something. How about we compare data, how about we discuss roles?

Just wait until 1.8. CCP has stated they are decreasing damage a little bit on the rifles and SMG, but I noted nothing was said about the HMG. So 1.8 we have sentinels getting great buffs for them and CCP "forgetting" that HMG is part of the low TTK issue = OP sentinels in 1.8.
Hopefully I'll be wrong, but Dust 514 history is with me on this one.
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

That video was from February 2013 and Chromosome hit in sometime around the 18th or 19th of December 2012 Heavies got nerfed shortly thereafter I think we had 2 or 3 weeks before the hot fix that gave rise to what stats the video shows. I forget the name of the build before Chromosome but that one was a good one for Heavies as well.
