If as many people liked and used it as much as the rail rifle then it would be getting stomped into the ground, lucky for you guys it;s not popular.
It's not popular because it's not as "easy-to-use" as the other rifles due to it's semi auto mechanic. CCP takes it a step further by adding an overheat mechanic that can only be relieved by sinking tons of SP into a slow suit with a less than ideal slot layout.
The thing is, in most games, these types of weaponry (semi auto, single shot, trajectory) have a steep learning curve requiring the user to have a more precise and accurate muscle memory than when using fully auto/large cone of fire weaponry. Because of the learning curve, users who are able to fully take advantage of the semi auto weapon's strengths are rewarded with superior DPS.
Not everyone can do this.
This is why you don't see "Viziam Scrambler Rifle" all over the kill feed every match, yet still come across an occasional imperial badass who butt raeps the entire team going 39/2.
Not everyone can do it and you cannot nerf the actual players who can.
The PC and SL should fit into the Sidearm slot so it's accessible and practical to carry one.

Scrambler rifle has been the same since it was introduced 8+ months ago....
explain why it has never been a huge FotM gun......
*Also, I do think the RoF should be nerfed to like 400 RPM btw, everything else about the rifle is fully balanced versus the AR
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

Caldari is the only Suit that has complete weakness to the SCR (and scouts). ANYHOW, i've seen 500+ Armor Cal assaults, but then if you do this you will be complaining about RR or CR.....

The Scram Rifle is for the scrubbiest of scrubs and any idiot can use it..its op and takes no skill to use its needs to be nerfed to the ground..its kills meh to fast if want to use a good weapon use a Rail , combat or assault rifle cause those take more skill than scrubby scram rifle..scram rifle is for noobs with no gun game....did I get it right?...
Honestly though I think the scram rifle is fine where it is at..I am a Caldari Assault and yes I do get pulverized by a scrambler rifle but that is cause its doing its role and destroying shields which is what I'm made of ..only thing I dont like about scram rifle is the no heat build up when charging besides that its fine in my book Its take the most skill to use to its full potential and if your using one you most likely sacrificed some health to use it cause its a ***** to fit |

What's not to love about the scrambler rifle, the thing is a precision weapon and at the same time a shotgun.

Then a RANGE REDUCTION to CR and AR should come too.
SCR and RR are not effective in CQ. CR and AR are not effective outside the 45mts even at proto level.

My only real gripe with the scrambler is the fact it keeps such a high rate of fire when the TAC AR got boned in the bumhole with a mag size nerf and a RoF nerf. Add to that what ever else was done to make it crappy.
Would you guys not say it would be fair to reduce the RoF of the scram? or buff the RoF and clip size of the TAC AR. |

I ahve all Rifles PRof 4. I use SCR 50% of the time the other 50% I use all other guns depending on the situation.
I repeat myself.
If a CQ nerf is to be made for RR and SCR , then a RAnged NErf will be needed for CR and ARs. SPECIALLY CR....
The : '' I use this weapon so my nerf proposal is valid'' card is , way too old...

No. The TAC is a COPY of the SCRAM. ITs unfair for gallentes to have an equally effective ALTERNATE AR as the AMARRIAN MAIN RIFLE.
TAC needs a RoF increase (Slight) SCR needs no change.

Then what is the point of weapons like the burst AR and TAC AR if they are just weak versions of other guns? I thought the idea was they would be variations on the other empires technology? Not a straight up crap version.
I mean like trade off some dmg for RoF or what ever fits with the races ideology? Gallente love close quarters so why not have reduced range on the TAC but increased dmg, or RoF or what ever.
I agree people like to bash on Scram rifle users but you guys dont do yourselves any favours when you out right throw away ideas of letting the other races "variant weapons" compete. |

Also the RoF isnt the biggest issue. The RoF would be acceptable if the magazine size was increased. However yes I think to be fair a slight RoF increase coupled with increased mag capacity would be acceptable.
Remember the TAC even in its prime still had only the same kind of RoF you guys enjoy with the scrambler now - but remember it has NEVER had the same mag size that you still enjoy right now on your scrambler. |

I've said it before I'll say it again, do not try and balance these weapons from a single PUBLIC game going against newer players, idiotic Shield Tankers, MLT and STD suits, or dumbasses in general; the environment of Public Contracts are too shrouded in uncertainty.
Balance must be made in PC matches where; just because you have a Viziam doesn't mean you start "shitting on noobs", its a whole other ball game when you look at the highest tier suits and weapons in action against each other, which is something that not all Dust players get to experience.
Too bad Molden Heath is locked up like a chinese finger trap..
I will restate: Stop trying to balance weapons based on performance in pub games, it just perpetuates this idiotic nerf/buff cycle were stuck in because less than idiotic players figure out what the powerful thing is and the idiots die to them and cry.

Haha i'm not hating man, i was just in a bad mood after the RR damage nerf and the Caldari assault bonus ( reload ) announcements.

It was a STD scr with a STD suits. PC players don't have special resistances for shield or armor, 10 damage in PC is equal to 10 damage in public, same for ROF. A good balance works from pubs to PC. BTW, i've found that have cold hands really decrease the power of the Scr rifle
