It is dead, yes, and yet was a better game than Dust... so yes CCP better take a few pointers... if they want to avoid the same fate.

MAG nailed a lot of things perfectly like I've not seen in other games ever.

MAG was always meh. Sure there were 258 player battles, but it's not like you saw 128 enemies in one place. I've had bigger battles here in Dust, with a fraction of the players per game.
Fix all bugs, add MAG-esque game-modes, and this game would be far more exciting than MAG ever was. Everything that gets added after that is just icing on the cake.

logged on 1 time. Joined match. Died ~10 times without taking a step from the spawn area in first map due to camping FROM THE START OF THE BATTLE (approx. 10-15 sec per spawn in). Turned off game. Returned game to rental location. No idea what the allure was, but I hated it. Horribad game unless you were a sadist. Good riddance. Please NEVER implement anything from that game. At least Dust put some space between the starting armies. |

lol @ my friend who had over 5k reapers. but yeah it is sad, everything just gone down the sh*tter. This is the year were dust will truly show if its here to stay for a long time or not. usually based on my experience, console games usually start to lose players on their 2nd year of being released, developers just give up on updating the game and let it to die. will CCP keep updating the game for this year and the next? we will see. |
