Someone can sprint to me jump and toss a RE (that for reasons beyound me slides like wet soap instead of sticking) and even if i manage to kill them before they blow it he second they die they can detonate it(and i mean before they respawn ,obviously after a respawn a player should be able to detonate), i dont know how to fix this but it needs to be done,if i had to make a suggestion i would say
add a timer between placement and detonation
and make it where they can not be detonated while bleeding out

just make them dissappear upon death or flag as "cannot detonate while bleeding out"

No No, there is a timer and RE's can easily be avoided once you learn them No, you should know when their going to martyrdom and to martyrdom means your going to accept your death and not fight back. (Get headshots, the RE guys can't defend themselves and can't martyrdom upon a headshot)

Did you see that the merc was bleeding out for a while and then you were killed by REs? What I can reproduce is that REs would explode when the triggering animation doesnGÇÖt finish at the time of kill. The call for help screen or waiting for deployment canGÇÖt trigger REs.

I truly hope you guys didn't actually miss this feature because honestly......
An RE user is able to detonate an RE just after death, if you have been waiting too long are dead or enter the tacnet version of the 'bleeding out' screen you can't detonate.

I really hope that this feature isn't removed. The merc isn't dead. He's bleeding out. Pushing the button with your last bit of strength is a nice attempt at spite and totally in-character for someone who knows that he'll just revive afterwards. |

It happens when there bleeding out with the kill screen up. Circle is the button that does it i think. Yesterday i seen someone drop Re's i kill him, and then they go off, no one shot them. He blew them up after he was dead, at least a good second and a half after too.

You do know that if someone drops an RE and gets killed they can trigger the RE after they respawn if you don't destroy it - this isn't really an issue though. |

I just noticed this yesterday. You have to still have the RE equipped when you die and then you just press L1 on the bleed-out screen. I took out a few heavies this way yesterday (much to their discontent). |

Yup ^ That's exactly how it works and it's a dumb feature really. By that logic if I die with a nanite injector out I could stab myself with it. Surprised this has only just been reported to be honest, it's been around for ages. |

Try palcing a re and with them still in your hands before going to map try to detonate, and maybe after your on the map. Id aay just spam trigger every second after you begin to bleed out,im sure thats what mercs are doing but they are able to detonate it very quickly after death, its far to fast for them to be respwning and detonating i wouldnt have a problem with that

It should stay, I do it all the time. Terminate the body if you dont want them detonating it. Shooting a bleeding out body will terminate it, so keep shooting after you kill him and hell be terminated before his body hits the floor. HMGs do that a lot.
It been about since closed beta, that was over a year ago. It wont change. |

It happens when there bleeding out with the kill screen up. Circle is the button that does it i think. Yesterday i seen someone drop Re's i kill him, and then they go off, no one shot them. He blew them up after he was dead, at least a good second and a half after too. Actually, it's the L1 button that does it, but only if you have the RE activation button out while you were killed will this work. For example, if I have my gun out instead of my RE activation button out when I died, I will not be able to activate the RE.

I can confirm this as the detonating person. REs still allow for activation on bleedout.

Good thinking. Yeah, if I start throwing a grenade, it should fly in a weak arc if I die, depending on how far into the animation I am. If I just took out the splint, it should explode on my body.
That's the kind of realism that would actually help the game. |

I think we both know that is a BS counter. While I"m am perfectly fine with how they are detonated I think that REs should have a more pronounced throwing animation/ arming sound, ect. they're just too stealthy when deploy in combat imo

Del'Eddy, I can confirm triggering my Remote Explosive after being shot, before Clone Termination (i.e., during bleed-out).
