IT'S A SHOTGUN. It's only useful when you're so close only a child could miss. BTW some of you have terrible shotgun game. If/when some of you get close enough it only takes one shot. WTF you need damage mod for that?

Honestly the shotgun isn't that great to use, nowadays i use the CR much more and I have to agree with Scout Registry, it's better. I truly do wish though that the shotgun was fixed but at this point I can't really advocate for the shotgun as a great weapon. |

Yeah, shots randomly not registering and the SG being out performed by...well almost anything at extremely close range...is rather broken.
Kind of weird that people don't think a shotgun should, AT MOST, 2 shot any medium frame suit when within 3 meters.

Above average is still better than you. Also I've noticed that you and your friends use proto suits with advanced weapons. My friends and mine use basic or advanced, yet we still take you guys down no problem. With much higher KD/R now how ... I wonder how could that be?

In the long run, RoF is kind of better. Combine that with increase in reload speed and if feeling frisky using a Commando suit, then you are one hell of a soldier. |

I would definitely agree if the RoF was much more noticeable per level. However it's "slightly" noticeable every 2 levels, and that's not really great. Maybe when the cloaking ability comes out it won't really matter as much. Also do you run as a Scout? I've only seen you in that one game with your Creodron Breach AR. |

During that game, I only had about 8 of those suits left, so I wanted to get rid of them. I still have one left.
You'll never see me run scout in Manus Peak, though. Ever. |

So... I did tests.
For reference:
shotgun supposedly does around 480
quickshot with scr supposedly does around 80
actual damage against shield gives 96, for standard ScR.
FULLY charged body shot.... does 337 against shields.
Which means full charge gives a 3.5x bonus.
(It also means the "base" damage for a fully charged shot is about 280)
For the record.... thats STILL not "more" than a shotgun. The base is barely more than half.
But it's certainly impressive. And devastating to a "mostly shields" fit.

Skills are made in such a way that they be flexible and tuned to each weapon's needs. So if the shotgun is RoF then its likely intentional. (provided it does what the skill says, if not then its a bug)
Similar to the flaylock fitting, and many of your lower ammo weapon bonuses being pure +1s instead of percents.
