PFC is perhaps the only place left in PC where fun fights are being had. And since you've stated in IRC that you think CCP should just turn Planetary Conquest off, I'm not sure you're really in a position to suggest how PC should operate.

District locking aside, the community, working together, can police PFC. A lot of upsets have, in fact, been caused by such-and-such corp who thinks it's the best this week trying to "take over" ruling PFC, rather than working with the community.

Also Beers you shouldn't care the game's dead as you've stated +1k times, anyways PFC's dead already RA's enforcement, however noble is not working... NF is probably the only group who could do a proper job but NF is not that active in DUST... PC is broke PFC only really works if the enforcers can/will enforce RA can't v NF, NF just won't...

Soraya, I'm going to translate for Free Beers, because I honestly see where he's coming from.

PFC does need to go, mainly because the people who would've actively policed it get nothing but hate from the community in general. A prime example I've actually been a part of is the one concerning Subsonic Synthesics and Subdreddit. Back in PX1's policing days, which lasted 2 or three days, Subsonic snagged a territory from Subdreddit on PFC, and we were watching that district beforehand, they had it for more than at least 3 days. Then PX1 started doing it's job and started working to kick Subsonic out of PFC. Which started some big huge crying debate on Subsonics side basically saying it was an accident and they were returning the district. Mike Ruan decided that he wouldn't let it slide. what then happened during whole incident was we were policing with the Generals at the time, and Subsonic decided to tattle on us, and it got into a huge debate between PX1 and Generals, comparable to that of a child trying to pit his/her parents against each other. What really ticked me off about the incident was I was actually supporting Subsonic and tried to convince mike to let it slide. He didn't however, and nowadays, all I've seen Subsonic do is whine and complain about Pradox, when we were just trying to do our jobs.

Then you have the fine people who say they would police it, but do absolutely nothing. Honestly, AE is the only example I can think of.

Bottom line, if you're not satisfied with how people are trying to keep PFC running, try doing yourself. You'll hate it as much as we do.

So, coming from the vets and the experienced players of PC, PC is dead? So its not worth it for newer corporations? I'm concerned because my corpmates are for CalFW but I'm sure that members would like to get a foot in PC. It's the second most asked question with new recruits.

So the real answer is depends. The political nature of the PC world right now isn't good for new corps at all. Honestly, in my heart i would hope that ccp would give corp contracts and team deploy for FW as soon as possible. I really think its a better way to go in the short term. I think it would help the newer and less exp players and corps would do better in fw.

As for your ambitions of PC life I would find political buddies first and dont put your timer at a stupid time incase you need to hire mercs. Best of luck

PFC only worked when all the big players supported it. The fear of being smashed by any of them is what allowed PFC to work. Now the idea of actually having to smash people.

This is what Soraya and many otheres just dont understand when it comes to how this community ACTUALLY works.

You do understand that if you said it like Derrith nobody would have bitched... how you said it was... confrontational. PFC can work as it has but killing PFC would force CCP to bring CB's or NF could police PFC or even just be the hand and let another party doing investigations... as some of us use our PFC districts
Regarding Soraya I feel the need to defend him here as he's a corpmate... He's done thing's to help... he's not nessecarily the face of operations but then again he doesn't sit in IRC bitching all day... he's ran an alliance, he's made the first district tracker http://www.dust-gents.com/districts.php, he's helped with thunderdome. You've ran IE which... no longer exists. you propose killing your other creation (even though It could be fixed instead).

Overall I'd rather see CB's return but PFC CAN be fixed it requires work... both fighting men and law men. Hell get DDB to investigate and NF to enforce... but... that won't happen or NF could not hire out on PFC (Wouldn't be good PR Imps helping the community because good players couldn't be good businessmen) and locked districts could be removed from PFCwhen unlocked

PFC worked to start because we had all the big players support. None of them care now.
