I dont regret anything I've skilled into-in fact i run one of the most laughed-at-dropsuit, the Commando and do kinda good with it.
If some of u can't cope with the consequences of your decisions...well, i'd be happy for u if u got that respec though.
I would skill into the same things I did before, except maybe for Sniper Rifle skills :)

Consequences of my decisions means 'must skill into Amarr Heavy because times the only one available and otherwise I'm not competitive since I'm using MLT gear'?
Or 'I skilled into the Minmatar Logistics for the hacking bonus which has been removed'?
Or my personal one. I skilled into Amarr Assault because I wanted an assault suit to complement my ScR. Without the bonus, it's not the suit I skilled into.
Had there been no bonus to ScR, I would not have skilled into Amarr Assault.
Considering that these changes are sweeping and simultaneous, I'd say a respec is in order.
Happily printing ISK with permahardeners and MLT blasters.
Just let me get a couple mil more before nerf, CCP!

The guy has a point though. My stuff just got better, and I am fine with that. No real need to respec me, I will spec into new stuff as I see fit (Cal Heavy) since I saved up SP anyway. |

Some people didn't like the Amarr Sentinel, but still wanted to be a Heavy. So if they wanted to be a heavy, then yes they were forced to skill into something they didn't want. And the same goes for other roles that are receiving racial parity.
How can I possibly be any more douchey than a person wanting to deny everyone of something simply because said person is content with their current setup?

Theres a huge difference between "being happy with your decision" and "not having other choices for preferred suits". Whats the big deal with a respec anyways? Does it negatively effect you? No, it benefits EVERYONE equally. If you don't want it skill into the same stuff. Some people actually care about the lore of New Eden and would like to play as the race they wanted from the get go but weren't given the option.
All in all, it would be a good idea. Doesn't harm the game at all. Actually it may help the game as well as bring some people back now that all the racial suits will be offered and with a respec they can actually play as what they wanted all along. |

Op im too lasy to spend 5 minutes reselecting everything, thats littary the OP arguments. Also based on past precedents people have been forced into the amarr heavy due to no other choice so at the very minimum scouts and heavys need refunds

That's what I thought. I wanna stay with the stuff I skilled into. Don't wanna distribute all the SP again into the same stuff i actually had before.
Will the respec-if there is one- be for everyone or just those who want it? I never experienced one so I don't know how this is going down...

I spec'd into the Gal Logi because it was th best Logi for the job with its bonus. Before it was cool and overpowered.
At least according to SiSi, every Logi will have the equipment CPU/PG bonus that used to be distinctly Gallente. Now, the Gallente is unique in the bonus to Scanners, which I use only very sparingly. Had I known the bonuses 8 months ago, I probably would have gone MinLogi instead, as the rep tool bonus is more appealing. Theoretically, yes, we knew CCP wanted to make racial suits effect racial equipment, but who knew if that was going to take 6 months or 6 years.
In the case of Heavies, they had no options, it would be completely infeasible to have people who want to be Heavies to have to hold out for 8+ months for the suit they want.
I'm assuming your suits are Caldari, leaning towards Assault, but, I'd still put up a 35% chance your a CalLogi. What are you spec's into? |

All Amarr, mostly Commando, Rep/Drop/Logi and HMG/FG heavy. Will I have to redistribute all of my SP on the same stuff again, or will it stay untouched if a respec comes. Is it a forced respec?

Yes heavy and scout respec, no medium respec.
You chose your medium suit BC of its flavor, or ts opness. The flavor isn't changing, and if you just wanna switch to the new form suit since its discovered, or the one the number crunchers are thinking will be MST beastly, well sorry, but don't think you should get a respec.

I like roleplaying as much as the next guy, but this is about treating their paying and potential paying customers fairly, so I for one hope CCP remembers this is painfully far from anything resembling an RPG and refunds all infantry related SP
