EXACTLY. Making practically all of the role bonuses support cloaks means scouts are most likely going to get pidgeon-holed into very few effective roles. The bonuses need to be more broad or scouts better see some very different stats ( which most likely won't happen). As is, it looks like we're going to get one min-maxed cloaky Scout, a couple copy cats of that class from people who choose the wrong race, then maybe a gal scout with damps and then the same niche-novelty minmatar knifers.
CCP, please support a greater variety of play, like, for example, right now I run a min scout w/ a shotgun and 1 damp (enough to Dodge all but the 15db scanners) and a code braker. With proposed changes I'd have to either switch to gal and pick up a useless (for me) cloak bonus as well as a speed nerf, not to mention a non-ideal armor tank for a quick close cqc role, or potentially go caldari and change how I play.
Like, why not bring back the profile bonus for the role and add racial bonuses that support cloak or biotics or hacking?
Instead of shoehorning class based equipment restrictions into your role bonus system, why not provide role based equipment restrictions and then a role bonus? My example is just one potential scout role you're nerfing in order to promote a single new role, there are many more |

The Dev Blog came out almost a year ago and the only as saw from that was active scanners. Where is the shield bubble?
They could easily have changed their minds, especially considering the decision on logis and equipment bonus.
I wish they would give it to the grenade slot, then only scouts get the bonus and I don't have to deal with the terribly cumbersome equipment wheel. Plus it would be easy to fire with L2. Seeing no negatives to putting it in the nade slot.

From what I read of the suit descriptions on Sisi firing your weapon will disrupt the cloak. From what the Caldari Scout says this will either cause it to cancel after a certain amount of time or drain some of the remaining time of the cloak. We can also tell from the Amarr scout bonus that there is a cooldown time.
Setting aside the crystal ball, I really do hope the cloak is just visual and that Scout suits will still have to worry about radar and being scanned. This will make them have to choose between tank or speed mods and profile damps. |

That choice seems to be removedGǪ with no damp bonus (except for the Gal scout) and extremely limited slot layout the choice is essentially gone.
