Would a massive "FEC" style attack really work on the Asians? I know there is no way in hell they have enough people to defend 55... yes I say again 55 districts on 2 timers. Would AE and DDB just try to come back and reclaim what was once Nyains? Would it actually be worth it to the community?
Anyone else willing to wake up Sat and Sun at 4-7am to shake things up a little?
I personally think it is time we took some of the land back from these redonkulous timers... they have been sitting back farming long enough.

Nyan san dosent deserve those districts they are some of the most unloyal players in the game. They have alliance hopped to whoever was winning so they dont have to lose there districts. They purely exist because no one wants to wake up that early to fight lag. They should commit seppuku because they have no honor. |

The lag defeats this and even then they would just get ringers, people would blue up for EZ mode, it would get boring really fast and then just slowly die out leaving you scratching your head thinking 'meh'
It all sounds marvellous in the war room, then you lag to fk and some of your team gets booted and you remember why you think pc is a joke and that's giving it credit.

I think there are enough corps on decent timers that would be willing to do this. Hell even if you attack 25 districts at once... that is 400 players they would have to have on or aligned with them at that redonkulous timer. I think it would go like this.. they field teams for probably up to 10 games.. maybe 15.. the others would have no one in them and they would lose those districts. The people that won the districts start switching the timers on them for the next few days so the clone regen and start making some money... the money is then paid back out to the corps who launched attacks on the Nyain districts for compensation. After an allotted period of time.. the districts that were flipped become open ground for attacks. This isn't get knock Nyain out of the game..but 55 districts on a difficult timer... just too much.
Like I said... I made this thread too early and without thinking everything through... just random thoughts from one person.

Yea... I don't know how the logistics of it would work... I mean the dates would have to be kept secret from NS but be well known enough to the coalition to allow for attacking players to get ready and make sure they are up on time. IE.. dont get plastered drunk Friday night cause we have an important fight at 6am. How many spies do you think the Asians actually have out there? Have they ever needed to have them?

Lets be realistic here only tp locked districts. There was 7 other landholding corps with timers wide open to attacks they just stopped comming. Im pretty sure we broke the communitys spirit by going in with no lube over and over. Just because eon is gone dosent mean you get to re write history how you see fit. |

Having been an impartial party at the time, I second what Eugene said. TeamPlayers were the only ones that I remember, but it wasn't like the majority of FEC had a chance... That war was more of an annoyance for a lot of those corps. ANON in its heyday could go toe-to-toe with RND (I think our record was 2-2) and ended up going 8-3 vs NS (the first three we lost in a row, but AE had brought in ringers), but we didn't lose another battle after that. They are legit on the field... Just depends on their line-up and who they are fielding. Then again... I think only a select few corps even have a fighting chance, and that is considering outside assistance.

In order to get good ringers we could say that the ringer that produces the most kills in the match, their corp gets the district or something to that effect. That way if your ringing it will invest the most serious players in every corp.

The problem is all of their hubs and the timers. This means you need lots of players to wake up at 5AM AND launch off of districts in order to have enough clones to take the district. The lag is not that bad if you know what you are doing. Just control their tanks and play aggressive, but disciplined.
So about those vehicle locks...

I suggest getting 8 teams on one morning...blitz every district the night before, and watch as they flounder with only 3 teams online and maybe one more between DDB and AE.
More of the battles can be won with clone packs...And Fab with 16 will defeat anything NS has even with the almighty crutch of lag.
The fact AE is giving them districts is simply Lolzers.

I am sure they will show for some games and win... but the others will be empty or full of scrubs as they rush to be able to field teams. There is no way they will not lose some of their districts.
Any loss for them is another district in MH that will be on a semi normal timer that can be attacked by any corp.

sorry most of our players are Japanese so would it make sense to put our timer when the majority of our players are on, coming from a corp that locks all their district please |

What we really need is OH back in their old state. Launching multiple attacks on AE all at once. AE is a bigger threat IMO, because Nyain San is beatable if it weren't for the lag, and the timers as this thread mentioned.
AE is beatable too, but with OH having their heads down, and Pradox not participating (apparently), there's just not enough manpower to take them down anymore.

Hey I understand, but it seems you also figured it would be an inconvenient time for a majority of the playerbase.
And the districts locking- Sorry we don't have 60 people available at any given time, and especially not during the holidays when, you know, there's HOLIDAYS and stuffs...real life takes priority.

They aren't really diicks, Patrick. Nyain is just using the timers to their advantage along with downtime with the way it affects re-ups. They do have an unfair advantage in connection, but it is just a more extreme version of any other PC connection scenario. AE has become an entire blue donut and they are frankly just bored. They have fenced in a ton of land in MH when combined with Renegade and the other corps that are left are just too weak for them to bother with. This is more an issue with player morals and ethics than anything. Where is the fun in going to get easy paychecks if there isn't any challenges? Some people (including CCP) need to show that they have a heart, some nuts, and a bit of intelligence. MH look a whole lot different if that were true. DDB is... well? I dunno what to tell you.

They do have an unfair advantage in connection, but it is just a more extreme version of any other PC connection scenario. AE has become an entire blue donut and they are frankly just bored. They have fenced in a ton of land in MH when combined with Renegade and the other corps that are left are just too weak for them to bother with. This is more an issue with player morals and ethics than anything. Where is the fun in going to get easy paychecks if there isn't any challenges? Some people (including CCP) need to show that they have a heart, some nuts, and a bit of intelligence. MH look a whole lot different if that were true. DDB is... well? I dunno what to tell you.

It is what it is. CCP has the downtime there for Shanghai to do their maintenance or whatever. Nyain uses it jut as any other corp would. CCP's intercontinental connections blow. It is what it is. This benefits Nyain as you get the server or whatever.
It's like like fighting a team at their home field. Yeah it sucks, but that;s what the home team gets. Fighting other US corps is like fighting at a neutral sight. You never know who will have the advantage.
So about those vehicle locks...

Any loss for them is another district in MH that will be on a semi normal timer that can be attacked by any corp.
What we really need is OH back in their old state. Launching multiple attacks on AE all at once. AE is beatable too, but with OH having their heads down, and Pradox not participating (apparently), there's just not enough manpower to take them down anymore.

Knight Solaire is right. Your best bet is for everyone on your team to manually set your location, so that, at best, it should be a 50/50 coin flip who gets the lag. But I'm not sure if in a tie it'll favor attacker, defender, or random.

Your timers are still ridiculous. 20 districts split between 2 timers is bad, but 55 or however many you have? Between 2 timers? Maybe if you had the players to defend that many districts it'd be okay. But I'm guessing you could put out maybe 6 or 7 full teams at once, combined with Nyain Chan?
Ancient Exiles have half the districts you do, but they are spread over multiple timers and I know for a fact that they welcome PC battles. Granted your districts aren't locked, but with that many stacked timers over 2 timers you are just denying access to 1/5 of Molden Heath.
I really hope CCP implements something to prevent your corporation from abusing PC like this. Yes you earned those districts fair and square, but you didn't earn the right to turn PC into your own private ISK farm. It's ******* shocking that you try to justify this bull-****.

How do you keep most of your districts is the real question. Is it because Nyain San are so good at gun game?? Or is it because they are on a crap timer? (from an American perspective) I have no issue at all with them setting timers to what they feel is best for them. But when damn near 25% of MH or 55 districts are sitting with a corp that has like just over 100 players and about 200 in their feeder... it is a little strange don't you think? You can't honestly sit here and think that the reason you have that much land is because your corp is the best in the game today. Who is there to challenge NS on a daily basis? No one. Who do they fight on a daily basis? Themselves and anyone still awake in US or EU which is maybe 10% of the non asian player base.
Let me just say that I have nothing against Nyain San other than they own more than what they should be able to hold because of a timer issue. I just feel it is time to get some of that land back.

You attacked them with a few of your guys in or called in ringers to do it or you bought the districts and put them on a timer where no one will go after them... then you farm the F out of them to make more isk to buy more land. When the corp wallet is as big as NS you can offer 10x the price for a district and not even bat an eye because you know no one will be coming after it. You can farm that thing from now until eternity. 1 bill for a district is fine when there is NO threat of it getting attacked and you not being able to make your money off of it.

In any of our "heydays" ANON couldn't go toe-to-toe with RND. We've only played twice.....once when we tried to wake up at 3am for on their timer. We barely lost despite being at low strength because of the timer. When ANON attacked our district on our timer....well, the outcome was much different.
No disrespect to ANON cause I do believe that they grew to be formidable. But I think that the proper perspective needs to be shown. Unless every corp that has embraced New Eden will say they are on our level or any other corp's level for that matter.

Noone really cares enough to launch against Nyain or they don't want to wake up to do it. I don't like to use lag as an excuse because I'm sure they experience it as well. People are either scared or don't care enough to do it. That pretty much sums it up. I wish I had the activity but how long can you force people to play a game they don't like?

They set their timers to the times that work for their player base. How is that an abuse of any game mechanic? If someone could organize a large force to take advantage of their stacked timers, it does seem they are vulnerable to that. That no one has done so is evidence of the logistical challenge of getting a bunch of people out of bed, not any malfeasance on the part of NS. There is only a handful of corps that could take a district from NS and hold it with maybe a handful more that could at least pose some kind of threat. Thus, the GÇ£wake up early with a good team and take one district at a timeGÇ¥ hasnGÇÖt happened. Exploiting extant conditions of (virtual) reality to further aims is what smart people do. Right now, NS has no real challenge in their time zone(s) and thus are able to hold relatively more land than they might be able to given different conditions. This isnGÇÖt a problem to be solved by a game mechanic.

So you think it's reasonable to be able to set 18 districts under 1 timer? I'm sure that at least 16 of Nyain's players are active for more than 2 hour period each day.
No-one has arranged such an attack on them because there's probably not actually enough players still playing this game to make this attack work. The system is broken and nobody really cares enough to do anything about it.

Why isn't it reasonable? Should there be some sort of active player vs. time point criteria for district timer selection? Controlling large swaths of territory based upon reputation/threat of retaliation is a perfectly legitimate tactic that has frequently been used by small, but very talented corporations. If you think NS holds too much territory on too few timers, you have the means at your disposal to do something about it. There are legitimate reasons to complain about the current PC format. To ascribe blame to a corporation for using the current system to the best of their abilities is just lazy. Thank you for your baseless personal attack and general childish whining.

Dude, I am not blaming you for the lag, is not your responsibility nor your fault, but it's the most important factor, nor the freaking crappy timers you got, it's all CCP fault, if they can't fix this at least separate completely the servers one from another, you have really good players, but still is just not room for a fair fight against you
For once join a corp going against your corp and see for yourself the lag in the city when the frame rate drops to 6fps, then try to have a "fair shot" at trying to take those districts. |

Okay so you say your 50 districts are set between two timers because that's when your Japanese players are most active, fair enough. So are you genuinely saying that you couldn't field a full team at any timer other than the two that your districts are set to? Or do you use only two timers so that the sheer numbers of bodies to stack against all these timers is pretty much impossible to amass?
PC replaced corp battles, so I don't really see the point in having that many districts if you don't actually use them for corp battles. You leave your districts unlocked and respect for that, but unfortunately the majority of this game is too scared of you (and the lag they associate playing you with), to actually attack you. If you were able to split a few of your districts amongst some other timers you would probably get some more competition. Yeah you're farming a ridiculous amount of ISK, but there's more to Dust than gathering an infinite amount of imaginary currency. |

The only thing I disagree with is 25% of MH being held by a corp because of those exploits. All I came here to do was get a feel from the NON NS players if a FEC style attack would work or not. It looks like about 75% of people agree with me.
Do I think this attack will happen? NO... Why? Because I am not invested enough and I haven't been here long enough to gain the contacts needed to pull something like this off... Are there others on these forums that could do it.. YES... would I participate... HELL YES.
It is all just a dream to me to watch NS go from 55 districts down to the 15 or so they actually deserve... we can all dream can't we.
so based on what you are saying the corps that have a unfair timer for our japanese players are using the same exploit that you say we are using Okay so you say your 50 districts are set between two timers because that's when your Japanese players are most active, fair enough. So are you genuinely saying that you couldn't field a full team at any timer other than the two that your districts are set to? Or do you use only two timers so that the sheer numbers of bodies to stack against all these timers is pretty much impossible to amass? PC replaced corp battles, so I don't really see the point in having that many districts if you don't actually use them for corp battles. You leave your districts unlocked and respect for that, but unfortunately the majority of this game is too scared of you (and the lag they associate playing you with), to actually attack you. If you were able to split a few of your districts amongst some other timers you would probably get some more competition. Yeah you're farming a ridiculous amount of ISK, but there's more to Dust than gathering an infinite amount of imaginary currency.

Yeah I totally understand what you're saying but like I said earlier Ancient Exiles have something like 30 districts that are spread over many different timers. Your players might not be as active as theirs but I find it hard to believe that a corp as powerful as Nyain San, that have a large feeder corp in Nyain Chan, are only active in a 2-hour period.

The lag against Nyain is caused because you're playing on Asian servers. It doesn't matter what side of the fight he's on, he won't see lag, because he's probably also on Asian servers. Take a geography class or something.
You can't separate the servers in New Eden, it would fundamentally remove the point of this game being this game. As it is, public matches run separately for different regions, but it's impossible to do for matches that affect the landscape of New Eden. One Universe, One War doesn't work... if it's not one universe.

I agree with Rampage quite heavily here, actually. AE were great allies when I was with ANON and I think they have done more for new corporations getting into PC than anyone else has. When TP was in control they had nearly everyone in PC in their influence in one way or another. It felt like you had to pay TP a tribute fee for being in PC. I never see that happening with AE. Even though we wouldn't be able to attack Nyain San without retaliation from DDB and AE, there are still many other districts owned by alliances and individual corps not associated to AE as far as I can tell. In fact, if they aren't the ones attacking Renegade then they probably deserve to lose some districts to newcomers, especially when many of those corps are more than willing to stomp newcomers into the ground when they have the chance. It's not that I like everyone in AE or think that an alliance of that size doesn't deserve a large war every now and then. That's what this game is all about. I just disagree with this particular criticism. |

Yeah, you spammed about 20 hives and 20 uplinks... I expect you to get a lot of points. And guess what, we still lost. Not all of us can play the best when we have 1 frame per second, because you tried to intentionally break the match.
Since you're a little new here, nobody has anything personal against you or any individual of your corp. But your tactics as a corp have labeled you scrubs without any actual skills. NS is viewed as a cancer to the game.
I've never played NS in PC, so I don't know what they do there. I doubt I ever will play any of you in PC considering I don't like playing at 5:00am. All I see is them locking their districts and protostomping Ambushes over-and-over.
With 1.8, milkman1 and a few others of your corp will dump 2m SP into whatever the most OP FoTM thing is for that update and continue to abuse it in pubs on noobs.
Your corp -as a whole- is actually hurting the life of the game.

Everyone did good. They got 4-5 capped the whole match and only pushed one point..any time a pc is like that it means the other side wasn't even competitive enough to get pushes where they could lose 100+ clones
