Quick question, as I'm mostly still a newer player. I get the concept of the CPM, and it sounds like a pretty awesome thing. I was just wondering if there's a medium where it shows the topics that CPMs are pushing towards CCP. I know I've seen several CPMs posting on various player-made forums, but I was just curious about the CPM - > CCP interaction. Is it possible to see anything about that? I know there's an NDA(Not sure about what exactly), but figured it'd be worth asking. |

Indeed, narrowboats are definitely an issue, but what about the elephants, clearly a much larger issue. Son-Of A-Gun has been working very closely with this issue, to develop idea about how to go about adressing the "elephant in the room" so to speak. What work has Jenza done with elephants? Clearly none. So please cast your vote for Son-Of A-Gun, for action on much larger issues.

we talk to CCP basically on a daily basis, if, nothing else, to just chat about our day and improve the relationship.
CCP gets a lot of crazy ideas, some great some not so great. In this instance we provide both something of a sanity check to CCP and to give our feedback on the situation. The devs also cant look at the forum all the time, so if there is a very serious bug or glitch, its a great way to get their attention to it asap.
We also see dev blogs before they come out so that we can stop any phrases or anything like that which may create cause for concern in the community.
We also constantly talk about various ideas that the community has posted and things here and there. Its a very difficult, time consuming and thankless job but its worth it as the game and the community do benifit in the long term. A lot of the stuff we do if behind closed doors so its difficult to talk about specifics, it also irritates me when people say that I or any other CPM isnt doing anything or is a bad or even good CPM because honestly they dont see whats going on beyond the forums.
Its not all sunshine and bunnies if you want to apply for CPM and its not going to let you have infinite power either.

Question
The hell wants to be CPM???
I just want to PLAY the game, not deal with assholes all day.
Another question
Why doesn't CCP simply throw us out these crazy/bad ideas. If nothing else, it would be entertaining to discuss.

On paper, I bet it sounded like a very good idea. In practice, it is **** and the topmost reason I don't queue up for FW.

So let me get this straight, you are asking me if I'm being a cupcake while you roll with Gal/Min, who are destroying 8 out of 10 matches in FW...
Talk to me when you have played Caldari/Amarr for nearly a month. You will be living in public contracts too.

Since when? 1.7 launched FW 2.0; which is when FW actually began to matter and was distinguishable from pub matches in any real way.
1.7 was launched on December 10th, 2013... Not even a month ago. So tell me again when Min/Gal got served in FW? Before 1.7? Who gives a flying **** about FW pre-1.7? It's not like FW had any real rewards for Dust mercs then.
Also, what qualifies someone as a newb? Less than a mil SP? Still in academy? Lifetime WP? K/d ratio?
Let's put it this way: I made my character the day Uprising 1.0 was released. If memory serves that is early May 2013. So I've been actively playing Dust for 8 months. I would not call myself a veteran, but I'm not a newb.

the origional system that evolved to what it is today was my idea. why dont you like friendly fire in FW? The reason i pushed for it is that there are many players who couldn't get into PC for friendly fire so i didnt want some players to be neglected for the chance of more complicated play. In the end FF and factional warfare go togehter perfectly. the system needs some tweeking, no arguments there, butI still thing FF in FW is a good thing and you are the first person i have ever seen complain about it.

Your whining about fk all and the 'no rewards' childish mentality towards past fw to me says you are a sprog cupcake newb.
For about 2-3 months min and gal got ragged the way you are experiencing it now, people still did it regardless of dog treat rewards.
