I'm aware.
What I'm saying is I feel that there should be a stronger push though for the racial parity. In my mind, you cannot balance anything if all of the suits aren't even in the game. You can't tweak weapon mechanics if you don't know how it'll effect the Amarr scout or Caldari scout, and you can't tweak the heavy frames without having the Minmatar, Gallente, or Caldari heavies.
The suits are CORE content that should be fully implemented in the game before all else.

Sounds neat, maybe as some type of suit in PVE but in multi-player, no way.

Why not? It's balanced, fast moving, massive ass scan profile and hitbox.
With no Centaur suit what will we use the lances with?

It's ok, my job won't be to please everyone, but to do what I feel is right for the game and the direction the game takes.
I hope you cast your vote who you feel best represents you and your ideals for DUST 514.

+1 , if this is a democracy.
Priorities in order of importance
1) racial parity 2) tweaking of NPE (new player experience) 3) character customization and P2P market with contract system 4) new game modes, maps, moods, terraforming, etc 5) PVE 6) add ons such as MTACS, jets, etc

What is your stance on tanks? I don't want them horrendously OP as they are now, but I like the current concept of 'moments of opportunity'. I also don't want them to be UP like in 1.6. Perhaps you support a middle ground...a 1.65 tank?

I feel that tanks currently took a bit of a step in the right direction, but currently are too fast, and too cheap at the militia level.
The cheapness of tanks at the militia level makes it so they can be "spammed" without much consequence making it a nightmare for infantry. No one wants to destroy a tank, try and focus on the objective, then immediately have to deal with the same guy in a tank again.
As far as the speed, it needs to be cranked down some, tanks shouldn't be able to simply warp away at the first sign of danger. Yes, it's the future, but tanks should still be big, lumbering, slow, and menacing vehicles of war. It's a tad ridiculous when I'm in a match and I see them doing jumps like LAV's. Instead of warping away from danger, a tank should use its modules effectively and tactically to come out alive.

As a member of the CPM1, another goal of mine would be to get to the bottom of the network issues of DUST 514.
I would communicate with all other members of CPM1 to ensure that this a problem we are all facing and then do testing before confronting CCP on it and hoping for an answer for us all.
My tests would include doing wired vs non wired, and distance from wireless router to wait to see the amount of time elapsed before problems arise.
Problems will include
Rubber banding Animation clipping Disconnects Voice communications errors "Fatal error" Someone in squad not being deployed
I will take not of each one of these problems and the frequency they occur vs the method of connection, IE, rubber banding - wireless connection - 15 ft from router - occurred four times then disconnected.
DUST should be a stable game for us to play and the current networking issues are unacceptable. I will try my best to get to the bottom of these issues.

Whats with all the hate for more racial suits, it would be a good step towards proper balancing of the infantry game. You have one heavy suit and two scout suits, you can't really balance the heavy weapons based on that one suit when you don't know how the other suit's will work with them.
NPE is a definite must in this game no matter what people say the game won't live long if we can't keep people coming to the game and in its current state the NPE leaves a bit to be desired.
Definitely like the idea's you are putting forward you have mine.

Most likely since the game will progress and voting won't take place till later this year, but these are my views at the current time.
As the game progresses and we near the election, I'm sure I will have other views pertinent to the time and shall update my thread as I see fit.
You said it yourself, I can't be expected to have pre cognitive abilities, but I can try to think ahead and be relevant to issues at their times of appearance.

Also IWS, you have information I do not. I'm sure you're aware of CCP'S direction and you have a rough road map - I do not. I'm sure you're vaguely aware of what's coming in 1.8 and 1.9 - I do not.
I have to speak on what I know and also what I don't know. For all I know, paint bucket and Amarr scout could be coming in 1.8 and ruin my arguments for those being implemented, or they might not come until 2.3.
It is easy to smirk at those who don't have the inside scoop but do want to see the game bettered for all. I love New Eden and the lore that goes with it, and I love the idea and vision that DUST 514 has, but I'm not going to sit idly by and watch DUST wallow in stagnation because people couldn't agree, make up their minds, or work together. I have opinions and I'm going to voice them. The community has opinions and their voices deserve to be heard as well.

An update on myself.
I don't want anyone getting false impressions of me because while I'm no monster, I'm still far from perfect.
I can assure you all that while I'm an Amarrian through and through, by no means am I going to push to make Amarrian gear OP. I do plan on listening to other's ideas and opinions, giving them thought, doing my own research on the topic at hand, and going forth from there.
I'm aware some of have probably seen me frequently on the forums and have probably seen that I can be all over the place at times. Some of it is show (hey it's the internet) and some of it is me and my crazy ideas and whatever is popping in my head at the time. I can go from mellow, to pretty fired up (hence my CCP Feel my Wrath thread), but it is still all fueled by passion for the game.
Like any other player of DUST, I've had my moments where I've gotten completely burnt out and could barely force myself to play the game. Trust me, I'm definitely some person that hops on DUST with a huge goofy grin on my face each day because I'm oh so excited to play.
I see DUST as becoming a "thinking man's shooter" and an FPS that is a bit more complex than your "run of the mill" Sci-fi shooter. As time progresses I feel that we will see more elements of "this has been implemented, how can I use it to my greatest advantage" or "this has been implemented, how do I get around it." I think we are all going to realize that fits are going to have a lot more thought going into them and are going to become more complex while laser focused on the exact way that YOU want to play the game. With added customization in the future, I see DUST as becoming the first shooter where you connect with your merc, you feel ownership of your merc, and you're proud to use your merc because he/she has been heavily influenced by YOU - not some cookie cutter "assault," "medic," "engineer," or "heavy." Once resources can be gathered from the planets that EVE corps realize can generate revenue for them, I feel that we will see the link between the two games grow stronger. EVE corps will invest in DUST corps or mercs to start doing their dirty work, you will begin to see actual contracts that have meaning. I forsee blockades over districts, massive battles for resources, and ISK flowing like milk and honey from the promised land between the two games.
Now as I said, I'm far from perfect and here are where a couple negatives about myself start to roll around.
1) I tend to see things through rose tinted lenses.
-Basically this means that I tend to romanticize things. For example I'm hoping for a DUST where I look up from a district and seeing ships streaking overhead in space, ships crashing into the planet that have been popped in space, flaming debris streaking though the atmosphere, just a really dark and gritty game. Now that vision may be four years off, but since I have this romanticized view, the longer I see it isn't coming into fruition, the more discouraged I get.
2) I have little patience for ignorance
-Now I'm not rude about it, but if I find an idea far fetched or silly, you'll probably see an eye roll or hear a snicker. Now I'll still listen and tactfully tell you how I feel your idea is kind of out there, but it is a character flaw I'm working on.

+1 , if this is a democracy. My thoughts for an Amarr heavy weapon is actually just a heavy Scrambler Rifle. It'll be charge based with a short spool up time. Think of the RR but it has that spool delay for every shot but deals a hefty amount of damage. This weapon would be good at medium range and poor at close range due to its spool time keeping in line with Amarr favoring longer ranged warfare. The weapon would be automatic (still spooling on each shot though) with an option of a beam shot that lasts 2 seconds, but instantly overheats the weapon. That sounds too close to a Forge Gun for my liking.
How about a Heavy Laser, but instead of having the heat up on the gun, have it be the target that heats up. Have the heat up so it kills an Infantry in about the same amount of time as a Light Laser Rifle, but have the heat and damage continue to ramp up until they reach AV levels if it is a larger target such as a HAV.
Have the heat on the target disparate slowly, so if you go off target for a moment it does not reset, but if you are off target for a few seconds it is more of a setback, and if they find cover for 10 or 20 seconds you are starting from scratch.
Reason for having the heat up on the target rather than the gun is so you canGÇÖt preheat it and fry infantry with AV damage.
