Also, if you want to know how a REAL campaign is run, take a look at this old CPM thread run by our dear old Iron Wolf Saber This was back when the CPM was originally thought to end up as just having a Dust ambassador in the CSM, back in February of last year.

I honestly feel that the SP time sink is fine. The SP system is there for a myriad of reasons. First off, it is there because of its similarity to EVE since DUST is tied to EVE. When it comes to new players and the SP system, I feel it can be quite daunting. I feel that new players start with far too little SP to be effective in their starting days. A way to retain players would be to boost the amount of starting SP (and ISK) to a level where a player feels they can actually be effective. Imo, a new player should start with 3 million SP at a minimum, and 5 million ISK.

My thoughts for an Amarr heavy weapon is actually just a heavy Scrambler Rifle. It'll be charge based with a short spool up time. Think of the RR but it has that spool delay for every shot but deals a hefty amount of damage. This weapon would be good at medium range and poor at close range due to its spool time keeping in line with Amarr favoring longer ranged warfare. The weapon would be automatic (still spooling on each shot though) with an option of a beam shot that lasts 2 seconds, but instantly overheats the weapon.

If you can come up with new ways of earning CCP money through AUR without compromising gamplay and balance then, in my eyes you'll be a strong candidate.
Thing's like aesthetic customisations that can be purchased for AUR will be great for players and CCP. Stuff like alternate model helmets and corp uniforms would go down a treat. |

I agree that player retention and game content are far superior priorities over balance. Though I don't think racial parity is nearly as important as other content.
