Whats your stance on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFqlnXZU6bw
And your stance on the importance of actually aiming in a shooter?
I'm being careful with who I vote for this time. |

I feel that aim assist is more of a convenience than a necessity when it comes to FPS games.
Currently imo AA in DUST is too strong. Through gameplay and testing with the rifle variants I've noticed that the current strength of AA really negates the skill of the player.
The most noticeable weapons that benefit from AA seems to me to be the SCR and CR. The SCR is notorious for "locking" on to laterally moving targets and being able to score a kill shot when on screen you appear to be off target, but the "magnetism" has kept you on target.

Question A) Many have claimed that the aforementioned items aren't healthy at present. Your thoughts? Question B) Assuming you were given full authority, what steps would you take to see these items cured?
Lastly, would you mind telling us a little bit about your experience, builds and background.
Thank you. o7

This is just my Experience from Eve but Most CSMs are elected by Alliance/Coalition Blocks (CFC,TEST,FW,Pirate,Wormhole, etc) not independent voters, you do realize this not to say that an group like that won't vote for you if your views mirror theirs but appealing to voters doesn't seem the best strategy. |

EVE everyone groups up because of strength in numbers... If you aren't interested in PC, there is really only a 16vs16 limit of players. A lot of players in DUST are just independents or people in a corporation with friends. I think a populist vote could upset any power block in the game. |

Still a Subdreddit or Duna or Darkstar or Faction Warfare Army could bring plenty of votes to bear... also these independents aren't the best informed just make a character named Big Balls McGee and there'd be plenty of votes from the randoms you mentioned these Forums are a fraction of the total population. |

1) NPE
The NPE for DUST 514 is currently atrocious. CCP made an attempt to address this issue with the Battle Academy and AI led "tutorial," but in my opinion is nowhere near sufficient enough for new players.
A new player should go through a PVE tutorial. Think something like the very beginning of HALO CE that introduced players to the controls. An experience that excites the new player and makes them want to dig deeper into the game, not simply drop them into a pub match and "have at it."
2) HAV
A step in the right direction, but perhaps a step too far. Currently, I feel that the two main problems with the HAV's are their price at the militia level, and their speed. I understand making HAV's accessible to the masses, but currently the militia HAV's offer a bit too much bang for their buck. While easily felled against a proficient tanker, militia tanks cause more of a problem in infantry focused maps or game modes because their such low cost means a player can continually call HAV's in as they lose them without a major hit to their wallet.
3) Scouts
Ah yes, the bastard child of the dropsuits. I feel that we all get the general idea behind scout suits, but our imaginations and CCP's current iterations of the scout have caused a lot of bitterness as well. With the implementation of aim assist, and the new physical jarring of weapon damage, the scout is in an even worse state. Scouts rely on speed and strafing, and AA easily allows players to track scouts more closely than they could manually. I also feel that scouts could use an across the board CPU and PG upgrade to allow for more interesting and useful fits. I also feel that scout suits at the advanced level should gain an extra equipment slot.
To see these items cured, I would be reasonable with CCP and ensure that they don't only look at the game from a developer's viewpoint, but also a player's viewpoint. I believe the purpose of the CPM is to keep CCP from getting tunnel vision. To ensure tunnel vision isn't an end result, it would be my responsibility to acquire sufficient data to provide to CCP to back up my claims and observations.
As for general information, I'll update the OP.

Hey cool name +1 vote.
What are your views on SP being the time-sink that it is? I you see the leveling factor as the biggest draw and well reason players stay on dust. Not necessarily the gameplay itself but the commitment that each player has put into molding their character. However this brings the flaw is that this is a time-sink, one that players may not be willing to get into considering it creates a large gap to the legion of people playing and the trickling flow of new arrivals. |

What are your views on
the amarrian trade-off?
i.e. loosing a slot for 30 HP? We sacrifice movement and sprint for stamina and recharge Super hard fitting weapons for higher fittings (only applies to assault)
Amarr/Caldari FW
Is there some mechanic that can be altered to help level the playing field?
Rifle damages/ranges
Currently the DPS works like this
1300 SCR (has overheat) > 1000 CR > 660 AR > 650 RR
and the ranges work like this
AR < CR < SCR < RR
Do you think this is balanced?

OK, I'd expect CPM candidates to fully state their intentions and plan for the CPM in the first post instead of asking for questions and making up their mind on the go.
Also for all candidates - please take care that you conform to https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/What_is_the_CSM#Candidate_Eligibility as probably it will be required for the CPM also.
