First game back for me a week.
5 games straight. 6 enemy tanks on the opposing team.
I witnessed a Gunlogi withstand an assault from my FG and 2 Proto SLs. It just stood there with its hardeners on. Then, I witnessed it with a Sica. Then a Maddy... then a Soma...
I had one Gunlogi withstand my FG, a Advanced SL, and a Maddy Missile Tank simultaneously.
We went from having to face maybe 1 tank per game, to 6 at a time constantly. I can finish matches 0/5 with 80,000 damage given...
CCP, and every delusional tanker that really thought they needed help... f*ck off.
This is the most broken I have seen the game since murder taxis.
When will this FoTM bullsh*t just f*cking stop already? Where is the common sense? Better yet, where is the research that warrants these changes? Every selfish faction in this joke of a playerbase only cares about their own opinion of how they think the game should be played, because they are FPS scrubs who couldn't stand out on other titles. 20 tankers b*tched loud enough and ruined the game for everyone. What's 20 people compared to the life of this game?
In the meantime you've had an exodus of this game like never beofre. Top players are leaving. Scouts have 100% given up. Even the kool-aid sippin' CPMs don't have a clue what's running through anyone's head at CCP anymore... then again I don't think CCP knows what's running through their head either. This game is one complaint after another. One bad review after another. One failure after another. EvE was just a one-trick-pony CCP was able to pull off after 10 years of debacle. Maybe they should just stick to the one thing they eventually got right. Every other project they have undertaken has simply failed on every level.

Slight corrections scouts percentage of giving up is 99.6% Not everybody only cares about their own ass (i.e. you for posting this, Sinboto, many others)
Stacking Hardners is a real issue, this creates super tanks. CCP has a tendency in Dust (can't speak of the EvE side observations) to wreck the timing of things. We have scanners that cool down faster than they run, and now the ability to overlap hardeners to the point of invulnerabilityGǪ I can't honestly see what this works the way it does or any reason not to fix it.

I know it sucks but there is nothing stopping you from doing the same thing with a militia tank. I hear that's what all the cool kids are doing.
I see tanks on the other side and I either:
A: Jihad Jeep B: Counter Tank
I sure hope CCP does something about it but until then KDRs will suffer but suicide was never so fun...

Whether or not people think a tank should be able to be killed by infantry when it has the advantage with its gear online is irrelevant as the current tanks require you to be sneaky with your strikes. Ive never enjoyed battling tanks as much as I do now. They cannot see me with their scanners, they cant withstand the force of the re's and plasma cannon i carry, and most of them arent smart enough to keep away from buildings that I tend to hide in.
Adapt and you will have more fun than simply spouting from the rooftops that those missiles should have done more damage. As it stands those volleys will just make a tank back away and you will be down a few volleys of missles. Re's are for tanks, your higher tier swarms are for killing the faster moving targets like the lav's...Even if they are proto swarm launchers.
Personally I see tanks as fun to have on the field and working as intended.

You soloed my Rail Tank the other day....granted I was out of actives and within 40m of you hving just killed a Maddy...... point is one tank is not OP, two tanks are not OP, 3 tanks are not OP I soloed 3 today.
4 or more is pushing it, that's quite difficult.
I do however like the new iteration of Dust seeing tanks and dropships on the map is lovely. Bloody nice change from a former infantry only game.
More often than not I don't even drive around looking to kill infantry, I am too busy with your teams tanks. I like it that way.
Why don't you like it that you have to get into a tank to have an easier time taking out another tank?
To a Texan like you, a hero is some type of weird sandwich, not some nut who takes on three Gunlogi.

That problem was straight forward. This one is horribly complex leading to the broken game we have right now.

That was sarcasm, right? As eternally grateful as I am over a Dev letting us know why they mistakenly nerfed Mass Drivers at the release of Uprising 1.0 I think we all know these changes had nothing to do with structured rebalancing. So they aren't going to explain themselves. My guess is 1.7 is another version of Beta and the next experiment.
If you're burned out enough just chill with me on the MCC or take a break and let the SP build up. Something new will eventually drop.

the believe that infantry should be able to out DPS and out alpha damage tanks that's why. its an old AV thought because they well could pre 1.7 no joke.

Yes having tanks on the field is nice, its good change of pace. Yes tanks are OP, I survive orbitals all kinds of swarm launcher and even proto forge.
My tank? Sica - 1 hardner - 1 Booster - 1 PG upgrade - 1 Railgun Expansion Unit - Mlt Railgun Blown up more enemy tanks with it, than my AV could do in 1.7.
Now you say traps work, they do. But what good is an RE trap when the tank is in your current theatre of war? What good is it when a blaster is bearing down on you?
We need ways of getting tanks to nick off, things like webifiers, emp grenades and AV that does some damage. We need to ENCOURAGE teamwork, but not FORCE it.

Why don't you like it that you have to get into a tank to have an easier time taking out another tank? I enjoy seeing one or two and many Skirmish matches are close in such scenarios. However, once someone deploys 4-6 it becomes extremely difficult to counter. HAVs need to be capped to 3 a team, there should be a short delay on calling them in, and STD tanks that are called in at the same time as MLT tanks should get deployed first. This way every team will have it's dedicated tankers in tanks and maybe 1 or 2 guys running MLTs to fill the gaps. Tank squads are fun to be in, but very frustrating to face, even moreso than proto squads.
As for, "Use another tank" balance, the problem is that having multiple tankers becomes a prerequisite to victory in every pub match. Imagine if every team had to have 5-6 Shotgun Scouts to attempt to win 50% of matches? If not enough blueberries chose to go Scout, you would be screwed. I am often the only tank beating back a wave of tanks and we almost always lose in these scenarios. The only solution is for everyone to squad with another tanker to ensure tank superiority, which just flips the problem on to the other side during the other 50% of matches where 1-2 tanks are deployed.

There were lots of HAVs (generally the armor tank) and Dropships were being used all the time to reach inaccessible high ground. If there was ever an infantry only game then it would have had to happen before I joined during the second round of closed beta keys.

No one is complaining about that. The crux of the argument is HAVs shouldn't be the only solution. Most of us want an integrated battlefield, not a single game mode.

AV will get a buff its just a matter of time, but it won't matter, AV scrubs won't be happy till their easymode swarms and BFGs 2-3 shot tanks solo again, seriously if AV had been left the same as it was last build these tanks you see now would be dropping in probably 1 or 2 shots.
Already if a group of well fitted AV run together and focus on 1 tank they will obliterate it, I know because its been done to me a few times, add in a knee jerk over buff to AV and it will be 2 guys wtfbbqing tanks and tanks will once again be a useless novelty, which is exactly what ppl like you want, a scifi shooter game with no vehicles cod in space, 2000 and fun. |

LAV with RE's sometimes works, sometimes you can run into a tank and fail to detonate. I place 7 RE's on my LAV and still no boom. This game is broken, I can walk through walls thanks to lag, I would be running toward an objective and somehow end up on the opposite side of the board in a blink of an eye, and yes I have seen a tank solo three other tanks with AV going off like the 4th of July and the 1 tank will win against them all and drive back to its red line for it only to come back moments later to do it all over again. I have never been in such a funk as I am now, I use to play at least 4hrs a day, now I cap and I may play a few matches and leave just so I can get my free gift. This is the worse I have seen Dust ever and I am 32 Million SP Vet so go figure

Thats right, only tanks are allowed to work without any support or teamwork at all. Infantry AV should require entire squads to take out decent tankers... you know because a decent tanker takes all of 10 mil sp or so.....
