Message from Godin: I've been waiting for this for a long time. So, how do I view 1.7?
PROS:
1: Vehicle AV balance is (almost) Perfect. GG
2:I adore the Rail Rifle. Haven't tried the Combat Rifle (not enough SP due to vehicles lol), but both look and sound incredibly good.
3: Whatever you guys did, the Shotty and Scout feels like Cromosome again. Nice work
4: The new damage visuals, as well as the hardener visuals look really cool. I love them
CONS:
1: Hit detection still seems iffy on the blasters (haven't tried the other two turrets due to SP, but from what I've seen and heard, they don't have any issues).
2: base speed for HAV's and LAv's seem too fast imo. Maybe a 5 M/S reduction for HAV's, and a 2.5 M?S for LAV's.
3: Lag spikes inside of cities happen sometimes. Not that bad, but it's there.
THINGS THAT RUINS 1.7 FOR ME:
1: the turrets don't have the "specialist" style of the weapons (I don't know about modules, as I didn't look)
2: The Federation Maddy, although cool that it's a AI-102, it still has the small turrets on, so the fit is ruined.

CCP probably wants AV to be a team effort that requires coordination instead of the solo swarmer that used to be able to take out any and every vehicle. i mean u get 30% reduction to shields with a 60% resist on.

so i can get one shot into it and the tank kills me or it just drives of into the distance where i cant hit it? no thanks. and you forget it is still gonna take 60% less damage from the shot which is about 400-600 dmg. (dont know plasma cannon stats :P) |

I thought the same thing. If anything scouts were hurt by this as it pushes fights to extreme ranges and cqc is extremely difficult to get into. Plus that CR just chews me up at close range.
Throwing an RR or CR on a scout is nice but then you're fighting on med frames ground...their mods/hp will usually outlast you in a straight up fight.
But I still enjoy my scout, kills with my pistols/SG mean something. Our day will come. |

Im not saying that the gunnlogi im shooting at should just die after 2-3 hits, im saying that the amount of resistance the thing has to all kinds of dmg is stupid. i dont think there is an eve module that gives 60% resist to all dmg but i could be wrong. |

Swarms were no where near balanced last patch. If you look up Judge's youtube video on Swarm fixes, he shows that SL users could deny aerial support to every single point from the redline. With the new changes, a SL user can cover a single point. Balanced
As far as tanks, the new strategy is to carry equipment that does burst damage - Fluxes for example - to get the tanker to hit all of the mods, then catch him when the hardeners are down. I do agree that tanks move way too fast now, though. The plasma cannon (which does 1500 base, not counting shield bonuses) would *never* be able to hit a moving tank at this rate.

If one shot from a Swarm does 200 damage to shields, it will take 20 people firing at once to bring down the Shield of a Gunlogi... Shield tanks are insane. Even myself and other tankers that are using them tonight are saying "wow, this thing it OP as f*ck. I love it!"
I'm only using Militia tanks right now, and I haven't lost one yet, except for when I make suicide runs into the redline. |

why don't we have the damage types of eve. missiles were able to come in all 4 damage types. EM would let you eat shield for breakfast but then only tickle armor.

There is a tanker mentality going on that if anything can hurt them beside another tank, then it needs to be reworked, which is absolute nonsense. "But killing a tank should be a team effort!" says the soloist tanker sitting all comfy in his now infantry proof tank. Frankly I don't care anymore, being AV is now freackin useless, I guess I'll just have to play full logi from now on while trying to stay hidden from tanks that can't be harmed... actually I am not, I'm about done with Broken 514, I've had enough patience with this stupid game, I'm a closed beta vet, and I've been taking this crap for too long... tired of being deluded for 2 years now about a game that will always be broken. I'll check again sometimes to see if the game has progressed but I won't hold my breath anymore. I'm going to get a ps4, with destiny around the corner this game will be even more worthless soon.

I have tried this, unless the guy in the tank is a complete noob we arent gonna kill him. he'll get hit once activate the hardener and zoom off. Tanks are ridiculously overpowered, the hardeners need toning down and that fuel injection is frickin crazy. |

Dude, there are only a limited number of players that are Ble to switch to av within the battle and only if there is a freaking supply depot around that hasn't been blown up and is problem 100 meters off. While the enemy tank just boosts of the grid before one can rally up the little av defence available. Dust has become tank war. I'm not going to run infantry anymore. Just fly or drive around knowing I don't have any threats. I just pity the pcq fighting folks throwing their playstation gear around. Try again CCP
